lms, yeah poor thing. They did the shots in her thighs for her 2, 4 and 6 month appointments and for her flu shots. I don't know why they gave them in the arms for the 12 month vaccines.

I kept my eyes shut during my c section. I get nauseous sometimes in hospitals and didn't want to chance it. I opened them to look at her when DH brought her to me.

mpc my c section was like that and I loved it! I am so glad I saw him being born, it was amazing. My H wasn't sure what to make of it before the surgery, but he ended up really appreciating it too. Definitely consider it!
And, Tylenol is on hand. I won't give any before the shots but will have it in the diaper bag and see what the dr says. Thanks for the advice, ladies!

We have C's 12 month appointment coming up on the 17th. I hope they stick with the vaccines in his thighs.
knx9211, I am so annoyed for you. I have a (hopefully) long time of H's anxiety ahead of me, and that would piss me off. I may need some advice from you down the line.
Last night when I told him about my BFP, it took an hour and me taking yet another test for him to get a little excited (then he literally started planning out when he would have different panic attacks lol).
I am back to having some serious nerves and doubt and anxiety. I thought I had been feeling baby move for the last few days and we had a good appointment monday with a strong heartbeat and my measurements looked spot on. But now I wonder if I am just feeling gas bubbles and why am I not showing yet? And I had a dream last night that I suddenly had a hard bump and not squishy belly fat and woke up all worried. I know I am just being overly anxious but G and I both said this week that we started to feel more confident after our appointment on Monday and now I feel like just thinking that way is "jinxing" things. As soon as we got comfortable with the idea of being pregnant and "in the clear" we had our loss. I am terrified that will happen again :/
So reassure me--how often did you feel baby move around 18 weeks? Did anyone feel movement before having a bump? When did your belly go from extra bloat/fluff to a real bump?

I'm sorry that we share a husband.
Condolences, sister wife. Thank god the FRERs got significantly darker. Literally lining up things I had peed on was required.

With my first, I didn't feel anything until maybe 22 weeks? I remember being at my anatomy scan, watching the baby kick me, and not feeling it.
With this one, I *think* I was feeling stuff by 18 weeks, but it was only once a day or every other day.
Give it a few more weeks and you will start feeling stuff all the time. It's incredibly normal not to feel much or even anything at this point!
shauni27 I started feeling movement at 18 weeks. I didn't know if I was at the time because it felt a little like gas bubbles/popping feeling. But by 19 weeks it was pretty clear I was feeling good movement.
And I think 20 weeks was when I noticed I had a good bump going rather than bloat.
shauni27 last time I felt what I thought was someone tickling me from the inside around 17/18 weeks. Around 20 I could definitely tell it was her moving around. Everyone is different. There definitely wasn't any consistency before 20 weeks feeling the baby.
Had my 7wk check up today and baby looked good. Cutest little crawfish I've seen. Heartbeat was strong. I had some more spotting earlier this week but the nurse didn't see anything around my uterus so she said it's probably just residual around my cervix. Wonderful.

Hi konapoppy! When I showed my H the pee stick he was like, yeah, I have no idea what that means. Since I so rarely tested, he had no idea, so I had to explain that 2 lines = positive, no matter what color they are.
shauni27, do you know where your placenta is? Mine is posterior, and I felt her around 18 weeks, but it was pretty sporadic, weird gassy /roll-ly type feelings maybe once a day or so. The last 3 weeks or so (so weeks 20+) I've felt her a lot more. I will say, that I feel her more strongly when I put my hand on my belly opposed to just laying still and trying to feel movement.
So H's family is coming up to visit and meet little girl about 3 weeks after she is born. I'm nervous - I know his sisters will give us plenty of space (they are planning day trips to Philly and NY), but his parents are probably going to be around more since they won't want to do the day trips. But coming to visit later doesn't work since H will be back at work and no way am I entertaining without him around. Everyone will be staying at a hotel so that will help a lot.
thoseareradishes , thank god they are staying at a hotel!! How long will they be there for?
I think 4 1/2 days? So not too long. H is excited about it so I'm trying to not freak out too much; we're just going to have to make sure we have a good talk on expectations!
WTF, knx9211. That was a super shitty thing for him to say.
I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday. DS is starting daycare on Monday and I'm SO nervous about it. We can't send him to one of the super nice ones because of money (ours is $2k a month for a middle of the road place ) and we learned yesterday that the center is on its THIRD director since we put our deposit down last March. WTF. Then I started googling the name of the center and I found a facebook post from a few years ago of someone saying they walked by a window and saw a 6 month old baby alone in a room fall from a table and had to bang on the window for someone to come pick up the screaming baby. I lost it. DH gave the story the side eye, like does it really seem likely that a teacher left a 6 month old on a table and then left it alone in a room? Rationally, he's probably right, but it just sends me into overdrive thinking we're not leaving DS in the best possible daycare environment
shauni27, I felt movement early on with both V and A (way early with A) but it was never consistent until about 22 weeks. At 18 weeks I would not have felt movement every day - it mainly depended on how I was sitting and where baby was positioned at the time. It never felt like a pop or bubble to me. More like a poke or a twitch. I had a bump early on, but I'm pretty sure that's because I'm short waisted and tended to carry quite low.
Shauni, I'm sorry about all the anxiety. Being pregnant after IF and loss is so hard. If you're feeling really bad, can you set up a quick Doppler check? My OB and nurse were so great with me and all my anxiety and they always encouraged me to call in for a check if I was having a particularly bad day. I think I only ended up going in one extra time but it helped knowing I had the option. Also, I didn't feel real movement until late, like around 26-ish weeks. I had an anterior placenta.
King, YAY!!!!
Hi, all. DS is having a rough day at daycare. He was crying at drop off and again when H stopped to check in on him at lunch. The teachers said it happens when the babies come back from vacation. We've noticed more separation anxiety recently too. It breaks my heart knowing that he's crying and I can't be there to calm him. I'm hoping to leave a few minutes early today so I can do pick up.

I'm sorry about the meltdown. Starting daycare was super hard. The FB story sounds kinda unbelievable to me too. I wouldn't be happy about the 3 directors in a year. Can you meet with the new director this week or on Monday morning to discuss the changes and put you more at ease? Are you at a local chain? I don't want to sound like a creeper but your place sounds very similar to ours. You can PM me if you want.
mpc, Yep she guessed boy so she was right! Now the only problem is is that I've looked at probably 1000 boys names and I only kind of like 3.
Well one of my best friends from college just told our group (5 of us from college) she's pregnant so I just shared too. EEEK! Now people actually know! I'm freaking out a bit!
