Mine is that I think it is SO disrespectful to misspell someone's name on correspondence addressed to them. Especially when it is something that could very easily be looked up. We have an interoffice mail system at work to send things to people at other campuses, and I received one today with my name misspelled. We have an employee directory that is easily accessible. Look up how to spell my damn name if you are not sure! I think it's lazy and gives me the impression that you just don't give a fuck. Maybe that's irrational? Lol. I am usually so breezy about stuff like this.

The most egregious thing (which is my fault too): I am VERY PARTICULAR about how I bag my groceries. While I appreciate places that bag for me, I'd rather do it myself, because CONTROL. I went to Wegmans earlier and since they do it for you there, I group my food so as it comes down the conveyor there is a semblance of organization.
When I got home I put everything away. I had a big bag of Easter candy which I hid up high in the closet. I also got a screen protector out of another bag from 5Below. It didn't fit, even though the case SAYS it's for a 6 (also annoying). So I went to get the receipt - they didn't give me one (also annoying). I looked all over and thought I should check that Wegmans bag of candy, since it was all tossed together, just for the heck of it, maybe it fell in there. So I did through all that candy, and what is at the bottom of the bag? MY CHIP STEAK!
I would have had my chip steak sitting in my closet all week creating stank and ruining the candy, had I not checked. YES, I should have checked first but when you see piles of candy one would assume you would not put RAW MEAT in there with it, first and pile the candy on top. Thank God I looked.
My name is always mis-spelled. Even by people I've been working with for 10 years. One guy is so bad, other people call him out for me.
My annoyance today is people who think they are my staff's supervisor. No, you're not, and stop directing them to do shit. If you need something come to me first. One lady who coordinates the intern training program seems to think she's their boss. No, you're the coordinator, I'm the supervisor who signs the appraisal forms.

People always spell my first and last name wrong. But it REALLY pisses me off when it is something "special" and they don't get it right. Such as, H's univeristy spelled our last name wrong on H's diploma for his masters degree. DS2's coach just spelled my 5 year old's last name wrong on his baseball jersey. And it can't be fixed and it's too late to order another, so all season his name will be misspelled on his back. COME ON PEOPLE.

My In laws misspelled my name on our toasting glasses that were a wedding gift. I have a fairly common name too. :-(

My boss used to spell my name wrong in emails all the time. The worst part was he had to type my name correctly in the 'to:' line but then he would spell it wrong in the body of the email.

I would be so mad. If my in-laws did that, I would think it was a passive aggressive dig in my direction.
Literally everything. I'm having my first period in six months and I'm on super aggro mode. Liv had a come to Jesus at Target last night for being a shit and bf is on notice. Plus there's bad weather all week that I'm pre-annoyed about bc it's gonna make my kid stir crazy and my dog an asshole not wanting to walk.
Oh. OH. My ex-ILs started a rumor that my marriage ended because I had an affair with a dude from work. A dude only my ILs met at Liv's birthday party last year. Who is my 23 year old assistant. SO GROSS. Ex-H put the kabosh on it but FUCK YOU TIM AND SHERRI FOREVAH.
My students. My god. They are giving me a case of the Mondays.
I didn't schedule a final exam in one of my classes. The students will be writing a final paper, and it seemed like too much work at the end of the semester to make them do both. Today one of my students said "do we have class next week, since we don't have a final?" I just about lost it. Because clearly the only point of coming to class is so that you can find out what will be on the test. This student has been a pain in my ass all semester, but today took the cake.

I've spelled people's names wrong a handful of times in e-mails. I usually realize it a second after I click "send." I am mortified because this is the sort of thing that I really care about. At that point, I don't know if it's better to send an apology e-mail or let it go. Obviously people notice when their name is spelled wrong.

I feel ya 100%. I have a double name and always sign emails with a double name (Sue Ellen Smith, for example [not my name irl]). They reply "Hi Sue." Argh!
My last principal routinely called me "Catherine" even though A: it's not my name, and B: all faculty had to wear IDs with our full names printed in extremely large font. It drove me crazy.
My current principal just sent me a birthday card with my first name (still not Catherine) badly misspelled. She's a former English teacher, so this is doubly annoying.
Our last name gets pronounced wrong 95% of the time. It's annoying but it's not common so I get why it happens but still.
Our IT guy, in general, annoys the piss out of me. He's so condescending that I want to punch him in the nuts. However, we need him so no nut punching for me.

If someone sent an apology email right after I would be totally cool with it! It's the repeat offenders, where I know it wasn't just an honest oversight, that really irk me.

Oh, my biggest name-related pet peeve is people who shorten my name to a common nickname that I do NOT go by. Never have. For instance, say my name is Jennifer, and everyone I meet calls me Jenny. (not my real name). This happens most often with older men. Hi, I am Jennifer Smith. Hi Jenny! nice to meet you. No no no. I go by Jennifer!!!
I have a very common nickname ending in -y. I use the most common spelling by far. A few weeks ago, a FB friend send me an instant message on FB trying to get me to buy/sell her MLM wine. She spelled my name with an -i! Idiot! First of all, my name is literally centimeters from where you just wrote it! Also, if you're going to try to convince me to join your company/buy your crap, don't you think it'd be worth it to take 2 seconds to make sure you spell my name correctly?!?
Needless to say, I didn't even respond. I usually respond with a kind "I'm not interested." This one, I just ignored.
What's annoying me today? It's 2017 and they haven't invented a good way for laundry to do itself...and I have paperwork that won't do itself, either.

My SIL won't quit with wanting to buy DD a fish. I was out of town a couple weeks ago and get a text from H that she wants to buy her a fish, he said no. She came over and mentioned it again, I nicely said not right now. She just texted asking if she could get her one for easter.
IF I want DD to have a fish I'll buy her a fucking fish, let it go.
But since I can't text that I said, sure... Now she wants to know the second we'll be home this weekend to bring over the damn fish.
Kids who are gone for sports and then pull the, "...but I was gone!"
Yeah. I have a website that I put EVERYTHING ON DAILY. Links to assignments. Slideshows of notes. Links to videos. Basically a rundown of everything we do.
I feel like I work more on their late work than they do. #overit
My boss spelled my email and my log in credentials wrong. Two different ways. :/ I have to login to a completely wrong name every day.
I'm stuck in the box, but this is terrible! Do you have a signature line with a name that doesn't match your email, because how the hell does that work? Is your boss ok with people being confused about how to contact you? Ugh.
