Also, has the fidget spinner craze hit your areas? These things sell out in one day around here. Both of my older kids have one and I love to play with them.
They are not allpwed in my classroom because they were being abused. I hate those damn spinners!
Ugh. Here too. My rule was that they could be used if they were out of site. But the principal gave them a big nope. So now I take them
It's band trip to Dollywood day. Well, E has been sick, so the plan was to drive there, drop A off with H, get our free teacher passes then I would take E home. He puked in the car 5 minutes before we got there. So I stripped him and cleaned what I could. Then we did the season pass thing and bailed. I just got a call from H that A fell and hit the back of her head on the concrete. She's ok. But I need a break.
I totally jokingly asked A if she had any loose teeth. She let me check and she has one, was not expecting that! Probably have awhile until it goes anywhere though, because it's just barely loose.
Both kids who rsvp'ed came to Caleb's party, and they actually all had fun. Because there were only 4 of them, they never had to wait in line on the gym circuit, so they were all pretty tired.
And it was my first, and probably last, time using the Pillsbury Funfetti cake mix. Maybe it's just that mix or because I'm so used to making cakes from scratch, but it was so dry!

That's good that they all had fun!
When I use a box mix, I usually add an extra egg and sub milk for half of the water and that takes care of the dryness issue

I actually find the box mixes to be really great! I love funfetti

Benjamin's party is today - family for pizza lunch at noon, and neighborhood kids at 3:00 for cake and playing outside. I haven't made the cake yet! Or finished cleaning the house for that matter.
Oh and I may be crazy because the neighborhood kids often play until 6:30/7:00 or whenever parents drag then in for dinner. So I bought two family packs of hot dogs, and was going to offer to feed any of the kids still playing?

W's party is in just over 2 hours (need to leavw in 1.5) and I am trying to consume all the coffee and get motivated. There will be 35 kids and 35 adults and I am still stressing about having enough food. At least it will all be over before noon & I am headed straight for a margarita! Bad weather forcast for this afternoon.
H always seems to wake up earlier when he stays up later. Sleep in child!
I'm going out to brunch with my sister, mom, and grandma for an early Mother's Day today! I'm excited to try the restaurant, they have really good looking mimosas.

We had a great two days so far on vacation, but it has been downpourijng all night long and is supposed to all day today too, and makes a lot of our outside plans a wash. I'm hoping we can still do something. Mud here is no joke though in heavy rain lol

We WON the raffle at the school gala. Free registration for both kids! Cha-Ching! Also won 2 silent auction items. A afternoon for H and a friend to bake with H's teacher and the head of the after school program. We also won babysitting by her teacher/our dear friend from last year. I can't wait for the girls to come home and find out.
