No school for teacher development so after therapy this morning the plan is to take the train to the city but we might drive if it's supposed to rain a lot

I have a gift card i got 3 Xmas ago to a seafood restaurant but since we've never been on a date I'm going to attempt to be by the whole family
After we are headed to the children's museum

Tomorrow boys have t ball it's the first real game and they take pictures for their baseball cards ❤️❤️❤️⚾️

I'm off today for a Mother's Day picnic at DD's school. We get to bring in lunch and books to read. I COULD have taken off just for the hour, but I have 2 comp days that I had to use so I'm going to catch up on the DVR and shop a bit.

Kids are so weird. We've always used a nightlight in Alexanders room, a few weeks ago he demanded no lights at all, wanted it to be completely dark. This week he wants the overhead light on. He doesn't say he's scared, just wants the light on.

I'm 95% sure I'm going to put my notice in my by the end of the month. I'm pretty sure I had a mini panic attack last night and I'm not sleeping because I'm either getting work texts or agonizing how much work I have to do the next day. Only thing keeping me there is that I can't find anything else that comes close to my current salary.

Do you ever wake up at like 3am when you've been drinking and then just unable to go back to sleep ??!! Aaaah. Then I finally got up at 5 and vomited, and took two Aleve and fell back asleep only to have children jumping on me at 630

I had three beers and two cocktails which I know it's a lot but it's not a LOT like I mean I've had more before and felt less awful. I think I'm getting too old and should never drink more than two beers

However .. it was an company tab and I was like if ever there was a time for $14 cocktails this it the time! 😀

unclejesse can you guys live on less do you think? This sounds awful! I'm so sorry. This is no way to live. You deserve happiness. Is your H also a chef?

My H is a high school teacher and sports coach. We could live on less, we are seeing how much of a cut could be doable. I just feel super uneasy about quitting before having something else lined up. I still teach at the college, and I think under my contract I am able to pick up one more 3 hr class, so I'm going to look into that.
I feel like they are going to try to keep me, but they'd have to let me hire more staff. No amount of a raise would keep me at this point.

unclejesse, I am sorry. I hate that your work/life balance is non existent. You are so talented, they should do everything in their power to keep you.

I am excited about the weekend. Today at 3:30, I have tea at Henry's school. He gets so excited when I come to school, it makes me so happy. One of those parenting moments I know I have to soak in, bc it won't be long before mom being around is annoying, not the best thing ever.

Tonight we are having dinner at a friends house, we have started rotating houses where we get takeout and 4 couples (8 kids) all hang out. It is super casual but an awesome way to spend a Friday night.

Tomorrow is DH's birthday, we are going to a BBQ Bourbon and Beer Festival .

Saturday we are going to a yummy brunch.

Oh, and I bought myself the Toms Sandals I have been eyeing for Mother's Day (I told DH I wanted to pick out my gift).

Andrew forged a letter to his teachers this morning, telling them that he could go to Kiddos, his school's aftercare. Usually, if he has a really good week, he gets to go on Friday. But that doesn't mean he gets to write his own notes!! That kid has some balls.

It's a total FWP, but my cleaners are here and are taking too long!! I'm hiding out in our office, the one room they don't clean. But there's no bathroom down here, I have to pee, and I'm hungry. Usually they're done by 10, but they're still going strong.

Aw, V's teacher was out in the afternoon for a meeting and the teacher covering didn't send home the Mother's Day gifts. Violet was hysterical. I called the school (because I'm crazy) and now she's calm after talking to her teacher. Violet thought she lost the card and she was so so upset 😢

yeah they said "performance issues/not meeting expectations" but he's never been warned and he just spoke with the president of the company a few weeks ago about a raise and she only had positive things to say. His boss didn't even come talk to him at all. Totally Hr just reading the paperwork
