I feel like I once posted here asking if the once a week hair washers didn't have dirty hair smell and everyone treated me like I was crazy because allegedly dirty hair smell wasn't a thing.
Is it really difficult to fathom that others may do things differently than you?
I don't understand the shock over who uses a washcloth or how often a person washes their towels. Or whether someone uses lotion or not. Or people who eat different kinds of food. Or that there are different languages being used. Who cares? Let people live their own lives in peace!

Lol you cant win over here.
I got "shamed" here once (by a couple posters) when I mentioned sometimes I shower 2+ times a day depending on how many times I worked out that day.
I was told my "skin must be really dry" (literally)

People are really weird about this type of stuff around here. It's always "omg, I can't imagine taking the time to do xyz every day (or twice a day)"
I've read it about showering twice a day, but I also remember an argument about vacuuming and people really couldn't understand daily vacuuming.

I think this totally depends on hair texture and lifestyle. I have curly hair and I don't work out. Washing my hair every day would destroy it. My sons also have curly hair but obviously sweat a ton bc they are constantly in motion. I rinse their hair every day. Co-wash about every other.
I have wavy hair that is fine in texture and thick in the shear amount of hair. I wash it every 3-4 days.
I do think all this washcloth, lotion, hair washing stuff is dumb. Sorry. Especially if we're relating this to race.
Now, if we want to talk about dirty houses, I'm in. And that's only because the thing around here is to brag about how dirty your house is. That's absurd. If there were a rash of smug posts about using a body puff or refusing to use lotion, that would be one thing, but otherwise I'm hoping this talk is just the usual message board hyperbole. I certainly don't take it seriously.
I hate the feel of lotions. HATE! I make a very thick, emollient salve that I've used since DD was an infant. I couldn't find anything I liked for her excema so I made my own. BEST.STUFF.EVER!

There was a horrifying poll on here once re: how often people cleaned their bathrooms and changed their bed linens. A not insignificant percentage felt these were monthly activities.

"I never bathe my child! was a regular smug type post on MMM. Then madamepresident horrified everyone by taking it too far saying she never washed her kid's hair "because she didn't like it".
I reserve my right to judge dirty people! Whether it is their body or their home. I actually thought of you yesterday bc I was at someone's house and someone else brought over a dip. Then told everyone her cat ate the cheese off of it. I died inside.
Lol! Your first mistake was posting on MMM. :-)
I don't trust people who talk about their kids all day.

Come on, join the fun. Don't be a party pooper.
I can't in good conscience. I know and love too many ashy black folks. Lol. For the record, I and my child are appropriately moisturized at all times.
Had anyone eaten it yet? Seriously, if I had eaten that dip I'd be pissed. I've never thrown a drink at anyone, but there's a first time for everything!
There was a poster from TB who had found cat or dog hair in dip she made for a party....yep, she just pulled out the hair and served it right up, gag!
Just the homeowners kid, I think. I didn't. I have to ask my H if he did... lol

OMG 😳
I don't understand (a) why you would bring the dip instead of buying something new on the way to the party and (b) what kind of person would still serve the dip and (c) WHY YOU WOULD BE ALL TRALALALA ABOUT TELLING PEOPLE WHILE SERVING IT?!
I don't let my dogs hang out in the kitchen and we a religious about cleaning it thoroughly everyday because*I* don't want to eat dog-hair food and even with taking those steps I always buy the foods I take to parties or events to be 100% there is no chance of serving anyone anything remotely dog-haired.
We also board them when we have parties at our house and then clean the kitchen before doing anything food related BECAUSE HAIR AND DROOL!
You wash with it. I wasn't a fan. It wasn't moisturizing enough and I like a good lather - it doesn't get really soapy.
So is it meant to be like, an all in one thing (as in, you don't need lotion after?). I guess it was disappointing on both fronts. Lather is supposed to be really drying but I like it too so that I definitely will not give up. I guess it is for the best, because that stuff is spendy!
I just used it like any other shower oil, you put it on after you've washed and let it soak in while you finish your shower.
I will never understand the lack of lotion. I absolutely hate the feeling of dry skin.
I keep lotion on my person at all times.
Not to mention dry skin is old looking skin. You wanna stay youthful looking? Moisturize early and often! (also stay out of the direct sun and use sunblock and don't smoke)
And sunglasses! Even if it's not blindingly sunny, the glare still make you squint, and that's going to cause wrinkles around your eyes. I live in WA, and I wear my sunglasses every day. It's cloudy a ridiculous amount of time up here, and you don't see people wearing sunglasses very often during that kind of weather, but the harsh, bright-white clouds are the worst.

But by God, if you are, PLEASE wash your hands after!
Didn't SallyWalker admit to not washing her hands after using the bathroom? Or changing poop diapers? Some disgusting shit (literally) like that?
Wait... what? 🤢 I'm nervous right now that as I keep reading I'm going to find a thread linked where a bunch of people are saying "I don't either! It makes you healthier! New topic: what should I bring for our staff potluck tomorrow?"
While people are making product recommendations, can someone recommend a good, super moisturizing foot lotion? I lotion up after taking a shower and put lotion on my feet when I go to bed but they still aren't very soft on my heels. Help!

I love O'Keefe's Healthy Feet in the blue jar. It moisterizes deeply without being greasy and has no fragrance. I get it at Bed Bath & Beyond.
