I will piggyback on this and say I remember nothing about the layout of Disney and would love tips about what rides to do that are near other rides etc
Im about to order park maps off of eBay they are @$5 for all the parks
I bought touring plans but it's so all over the place since I have babies toddlers young kids and adults who want to ride Kids have no fear We are a go go go family
We are going next May for my nieces's senior trip (just family-but around 15 people.) My IL's booked a 8br house about 20 min from Disney. I think we will do 6 days in the parks, but I haven't planned anything beyond that . I think me and DD will try and do a princess character breakfast or lunch. Since we are off resort, no meal plan for us.

We are going in November with free dining. I just booked my ADR and I'm so nervous that the timing will be wrong or we won't like the food or wish we could hop to another park but stuck with reservation. I don't like planning so much, I want to go, ride, eat when we are hungry.... oh well I'm excited.

shate !!
Share!! We go mid October tell me what you picked
I'm still all over the place
We are going 4 days. AK- Tusker house like 3:30 so I'll try to change it to either lunch or dinner, but not loosing what I have for now. Also want to do flame tree for QS. HS - Hollywood and vine fantasmic lunch. EP - Akurshus for dinner. MK- crystal palace 8:30 am before the park opens, want to add BOG for lunch but can't get reservation yet. I had a crystal reef reservation that I was excited about but had to cancel for Akershus. I might try to reschedule and cancel crystal palace if I can get BOG for prepark opening.
Trudy you must make adrs soon right? 2-3 more months
Game plan?
Not until sept 30 I'm basically freaking out, lol. We are going during easter and I'm so afraid we won't get what we want!! I'll actually die if I can't get CRT. I want to eat at so many places.

We are planning to arrive late Wednesday night, stay in airport hotel.
Thursday early morning head to animal kingdom lodge, drop off bags, and do AK as our first park day just be we are already over there. Hoping for Sanaa for dinner with my brothers family and my dad who will already be there a few days before us.
Friday- first MK day. I'm hoping for some good ADR this day, hopefully dinner, with something memorable I can do with the extended fam. Thinking HDDR, chef Mickey or BOG but I feel like I won't be able to get any of those.
Saturday will be Ruby's birthday and I'm thinking Epcot for the frozen ever after and then a meal at akershus
After that I have no idea and we are staying until the following Friday. I def want to do probably 2 pool days, but on the pool days I think we will work in dinner and fireworks at a park. I want to do the pool days so we can take advantage of the drop off kids club at the resort.
I'm thinking I'll do our second to last day (last full day before travel day) as BBB and then CRT dinner. Thinking if I book those at the end of my trip I'll have a better chance of getting the reservations.
Need to eat at CRT, BOG, akershus, chef Mickey, Tusker house hopefully ohana, and a dozen others!!

I think you'll be fine! If you don't get something use touringplans reservation finder. I switched times like 5 times at BOG with their reservation finder.

When do they release EMH and stuff? Am I going to know which parks have extra hours before I book my ADRs? It's so tough because even if I have park hopper (we plan to) id like to have the restaurants line up to what we are doing that day
I'm also debating getting a babysitter and doing an adults only dinner and fireworks somewhere, but will we be too exhausted?
Do it. We left the kids with my ILs one night and did dinner at Epcot and then went to MK for fireworks and to do rides my kids didn't want to do. It was the best 4 hours there! I want to go back without kids lol

You can also download maps from the website if you don't want to buy any. I did that and then highlighted the attractions we wanted to do on the pdf so I could try to limit walking across the park all the time.
We are going April 2018, so nothing booked yet, but I've been spending lots of time looking at resorts and restaurants. My dad and step mom started a "Disney fund" for the girls birthday gifts a few years ago and said they would take us at some point. They, unfortunately, want to wait until the girls are much older. They seemed quite shocked when we said recently we wanted to go next year (on our own dime) and it was ackward. We would love for them to come with us but they haven't mentioned it since sooooo, I have no idea what they are thinking.
My ILs are literally going to flip out over us going because we will not be staying in one of their free (to us) off site timeshare properties. We are delaying telling them for as long as possible. I don't feel bad about that because they went to Disney with my SIL and her fam this past fall and didn't even tell us until I saw pics of them on facebook soooo... Anyway, Disney is a huge deal to me and I refuse to stay off site so there's just going to have to be drama.
Just because this is a Disney thread. We're probably going to Disneyland next spring and I'm kind of annoyed you can't plan as much there! No dining reservations 180 days out, no FP+, only 2 parks that are basically one, I love to plan vacations!

Lol, you'll love it! Embrace the smaller, easier Disney resort!
But I love to plan lol. I'm weird. I know I am going to love the size when it's ends up being a 10 minute walk to the gate.

Haha definitely. You can always download the app and check ride wait times at different times and days of the week. I mean... what? I don't do that... 😜
Did you guys decide where you're staying?
I want to stay at the new Courtyard with the water park! I think the kids would love the water park, and they have some rooms with a separate area for the kids to sleep with bunkbeds. It depends their prices for when we end up going, still haven't decided between March and May. Second option is whichever motel across the street from the gate has any family rooms left where the kids can sleep seperate from us.
