What is the 'slowest' time of the year for Disney?
It can really vary by week and day. We went in the middle of November and had crowds that ranged from 2 to 8 in one week. I've heard in general last 3 weeks of January might be slowest but it's also when most the ride closures happen.
My ILs are literally going to flip out over us going because we will not be staying in one of their free (to us) off site timeshare properties. We are delaying telling them for as long as possible. I don't feel bad about that because they went to Disney with my SIL and her fam this past fall and didn't even tell us until I saw pics of them on facebook soooo... Anyway, Disney is a huge deal to me and I refuse to stay off site so there's just going to have to be drama.
I agree. I think they are great ages and don't want to miss out on this age because they want the girls to remember going.

I think we'd like to go over a long weekend the end of January or start of Feb. I'd have to take a few unpaid days but it will be worth it to save on vacation airfare and crowd times.
Maybe in 2019? I'd love to go next year but I don't think we would be able to swing it.
We are going end of February/beginning of March. We are booking through a TA that does charter flights so we are waiting for them to publish dates in a month or so. We will take the first week they offer.
We are staying at Contemporary and doing the dining plan. I'm planning on the perfectly princess tea for Katelyn and I as a birthday gift. We are also doing BBB.

bean47 I totally remember my trip when I was in kindergarten! And I feel like it's so fun to go when they still really believe in the princesses etc.
My ILs/SIL going without us (it was actually my SILs trip and she invited my ILs) really really hurt my feelings. When we confronted them about it, they said maybe we can be included in things when we move to NJ (where they all live). Sooo done with them after that comment!
Man. You guys are stressing me out. It's like a whole other language!! We're taking the band (and A) over spring break next year. We'll do some of the bigger things for her and get a good experience in. Then we plan to go fall break 2018. That's what I need to start planning for. Sounds so intimidating. And expensive. Ugh
My first trip I was in kindergarten and remember it vividly His was through make a wish so vastly different than a middle class family so our wants and so different
We are just starting to plan our trip for February 2018. I'm already stressed out
Fun! Where are you staying?
We just decided on Port Orleans. We were going to do value and get two rooms, but we are going with my brothers and their families as well. So we decided to do moderate and one of my kids will bunk with them (rooms sleep 5) so we don't have to get 2 rooms. Def saving a ton that way.
I actually priced out a trip last night. My H thinks I'm crazy. Around 3500 for a 4 day trip at the ens of January staying on the monorail with dvc points. Not really as bad as I thought. Maybe we can go?
I dove in head first and I'm excited. Since both kids will be small-er, we're going to do the all star movies resort instead of bigger $$ rooms. It won't be as bad as I thought it might be. We'll plan our second trip when both kids are old/tall enough to enjoy everything at the park.
Since we're taking the band in the spring and taking A with us, we'll focus during that trip on the things that she can do but E will be too small for. I think we can get a pretty good band for our buck. Well also drive. Because we're crazy...and cheap
I would try to plan for next year, BUT it's also our 10 yr anniversary and we won't be able to swing 2 big trips. Sorry kids. Even though they may end up coming w us wherever we go.

Check out pop century. It is a value resort but all 3 all star hotels share a bus while pop has its own bus. We stayed at pop for our first trip and it was fine. We mostly hit the parks hard and only went back to sleep. The pools are nice, but values don't have a slide.

Perfect. Thanks
Yep Pop is the best value! Art of animation is a bit more $ but had some cute themes for kids.

We took Ruby when she was 2.5 but it was a very low key trip. We didn't really plan alot and had no schedule. We went in November during Veterans day and it wasn't super crowded. We are planning to go back November 2018 and we are going to really plan that out. Orlando is about a 6 hour drive but we will be taking our camper so we may do a 2 day trip down. We will stay at Fort Wilderness. My parents are 2.5 hours from Orlando so I hope my mom will join us to help with the baby, who will be 1.
