Damn, this doesn't look like it will be wearable on me, though I imagine some people could pull it off.
I'm a little underwhelmed by it to be honest. I appreciate, really lol, that its not yet another warm neutral palette but the color selection still seems off to me. The electric color seems out of place and I just don't see many looks coming out of it without having to introduce another palette. But, I love ABH shadows, so I'm still interested. I need to see swatches though.
Yeah the ABH palette isn't speaking to me but the TF one kind of is. I'll need to see some swatches but at this point I kind of want to keep the collection going lol.

So, I discovered an Ingot store on Oxford Street today. I've been wanting to put together a travel palette and I did. I chose the wood case which uses magnets to close (which I'll have to secure with a rubber band as I'm not sure it'll stay closed entirely otherwise), four eyeshadows (in shades I use a lot), a highlighter and a blush. I like it!
(I accidentally stuck my fingernail into the highlighter)

I know most of you won't be able to get all the brands, but a lot are available in the US. This is a post by one of my favourite beauty writers in the UK on ethical, vegetarian and vegan brands: list

I bought some of the ABH summer shades as singles as a birthday gift to myself last month and they are some of the best eye shadows I've ever used. The purples were to die for! Every time I wear them I get complimented. I think I'll probably be picking up this new palette. I have been wholly impressed with ABH!
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
PSA: Sephora just released a good code -- FRESHVIB for VIBs and Rouges. Three Fresh deluxe samples with a $35 purchase. Right now, there's a good selection but I imagine it will get picked over fast.
I allowed myself this purchase at the Nordstrom anniversary sale. It's so lovely. And since I can't wear pinky blush because I'm already ruddy, the contour color and highlighter are perfect.
last night i used a clay mask (pur, i think, it was from an ipsy bag) and then first aid beauty's oatmeal mask and my skin feels amazing. i can't stop touching my face, lol. it was feeling really uneven and oily and all over gross but now it's smooth and balanced and just good. love it.
Rouges - check your emails. Sephora sent me $20 off of $100.
Ugh they may get me with this one. I was thinking if using an Ulta points bonus for the Nars matte concealer since I have 1533 points but money off might be > extra points. I have to think on this some more when my coffee kicks in.
That stupid sephora email might tempt me. I've got $50 in gift cards burning a hole in my pocket, so this would only be an extra $30ish that I would have to put out.

Yup. I need to get a refill of a hair product that's like $32, so I'm using this as justification to buy some new expensive skin care product. Just have to decide which one I want.
Does anyone know of a product I can add to my Bare Minerals mineral foundation if the lightest shade is a little too dark/warm? I know they make mixers for liquid foundations but not sure about loose powder

I haven't tried this but I would try mixing Mineral Veil or Tarte finishing powder (both are colorless but might help tone down some of the darkness). I am very fair and I couldn't use BM. I have and really like IT CC cream and Your Skin But Better Airbrush Perfecting Powder in fair.

I vaguely remember hearing of a mineral powder foundation lightener, but i don't recall the brand. How off is it? something that can bit fixed by adding a smidge of transparent powder? Are you opposed with mixing it with a lighter shade from another brand?
When I used BM like 15 years ago, I had the same issue and ended up switching to another brand completely- Everyday Minerals. They had a better variety for pale girls like us.
