After my doctor told me a few months ago to expect to go 32-36 weeks, this week he told me he would let me go to 38. Wtf.
If I go to 38 I won't make it to the hospital because I will have killed or alienated everyone around me lol. I am miserable.
I decided last night I am making my last day of work the last Friday in September (if I don't go out earlier). October ain't gonna happen at work.
I just met a girl at my book club last month who delivered her twins at 38 weeks - both were about 6.5 pounds!
On a more fun note - are you planning to dress your girls in matching outfits? I have a couple sleepers that I was given duplicates of and as I was deciding what to do with them I thought hey these would be great for twin girls. I could send them along if you wanted.
pooh8402 , that is the million dollar question! I did two overnights during the failed induction and was miserable. I was so uncomfortable and strapped up to the monitors and crampy, etc. Plus the cervadil insertion and removal was SO painful--and the second night it got stuck in there and it took forever (and lots of probing...) to get it out. So I am kind of traumatized.
I am at 1.5 cm now and like I said, took 48 hours and a lot of misery to get there. I would really like to get at least another cm on y own before trying again...and yet I hate the idea of going another week. It is a toss up at this point.
Has anyone discussed a Foley bulb? loira used it iirc, but it wasn't an option for me (only because it just wasn't done at the hospital where I delivered). Some providers will place the Foley bulb and allow you to go home while it does its thing.
Nope, not me. I had a c-section with A. I don't know what exactly they did to induce me with V because I was stoned out of my mind on my morphine PCA. You're right, though. Someone on here had the foley, but I can't remember who...

Damn, I'm sorry. Who was it then (rhetorical question to myself)?

Wow!!! Good for her
I will definitely take them. I will try to remember to pm you later. Thanks for the sweet offer
I had an ultrasound today but they had a hard time measuring his head and stomach because he is so squished in my uterus. Poor guy. They got the best measurements they could and it looks like he's measuring 1 week ahead, is around 6 pounds, is super low in my pelvis, head down, all systems ready to go!

I can't say I enjoyed my overnight induction, but it did go smoothly. My hospital doesn't use Cervadil, so I had Cytotec instead. It's a pill that dissolves, so there's no removal issue. I progressed with just the Cytotec, which I was happy about because I wanted to avoid Pitocin. (Although I wanted to avoid Pitocin because I wanted to avoid an epidural, and I ended up getting one anyway, so I guess that kind of defeated the purpose.)

I had one. I think I had EVERYTHING with my induction......but I was induced at 36w due to severe pre-e.

Can you share your induction story a bit? Any details would help me make my decision...feel free to PM me instead of you would rather!
My induction was not normal. I was hospitalized for 2.5 weeks before they induced me due to high BP. I was on magnesium for the high BP which is terrible. If it wasn't for the magnesium I think my induction would have been fine. Really it wasn't terrible, I just couldn't do anything bc I had no energy. Bc I failed to progress after the bulb, they gave me piticin and then I maxed out the dosage and still did not progress past 2. I got an epidural at 2.5 bc piticin contractions are no joke lol. They broke my water around 30 hours I think and I still didn't get past 4.5, 6 hours later. My cervix was really thin but was not dilating. At that point they recommended a c section which I was ok with, but then baby's hr started having problems and then my BP increased again so then it became an emergency c section and they actually did it at shift change (7am) which was chaotic, so I knew it was serious. Overall I'm ok with how it went, and I'm glad next time (hopefully there is a next time), I just get to schedule a c section. I have no desire for a VBAC.
So my induction was unique bc I was only 36w and had severe preeclampsia

Also want to add that I had no choice for my induction bc of the preeclampsia. If I made it to full term normal pregnancy I would prefer not to be induced due to piticin contractions and the length of labor. Just my two cents.

Right, I remember most of that, just not the induction details. Thank you for sharing!

Lol, yeah he was the only baby she's never been suspicious of!
So jealous! I want to meet Baby Bookworm! I would normally say pics or it didn't happen, but I know there's a hold on that right now.
It's very likely that awick14 and I will get together this fall...
And defiantly a get together in the fall loira! I am getting excited for our big move to the coast. (And to be honest going back to work, I love being home with DD but I miss working and the feel that I get from helping people.)
