My SIL is in labor! (I mean, I think she is. She's due this week and I got a text that they are headed to the hospital.) I'm so excited to have little cousins! I always wanted that when I was little, but all my cousins lived states away.
Week 2 at work - DD is eating all her bottles now so I feel a lot better about that. I'm still having a hard time focusing on work, but it's got to get better eventually, right. Soon I need to figure out when I'm comfortable traveling again, because there is a lot of travel on the schedule between now and next fall.
We are on our way to our mini vacation We stopped at this awesome Greek place and had a fabulous lunch. However, my tongue has been toning for the last 10 minutes. Should I be concerned?
In other news, i have an appointment and ultrasound on friday. It's the first time we will see baby boy in 11 weeks so I'm pretty excited to see him.
We are headed home from vacation. It was such a great week, but I'm ready to be home. I have my anatomy scan on Wednesday morning so hoping things are still looking good!

Just finished up round 1 of Gabe's middle of the night feeding. Listening to him grunt away in the baby bed next to me.
Anyone know how long you can wait to circumcise? We weren't able to at the hospital but I'm assuming we can when we go home. We haven't committed to it yet, but it would be good to know what the deadline is.
mpc glad your DD is doing better with the bottles. I understand about being excited that there's a cousin nearby for for her to grow up with. M & C only get to see their cousins once a year.
Eek oneslybookworm! Guess you are settling in nicely with him. I don't think there's any deadline with having him circumcised. The one thing we weren't told was that even after it's healed you have to keep pulling back on the skin to prevent adhesions. C had started to get a few spots when he had an appointment and that's when the pedi told us.
Work was really rough last week and now my sales manager turned in her notice yesterday so her last day is Thursday. This means it's going to be torture the next few weeks until I get someone hired and trained.
M has decided she doesn't want to join the middle school track team this year. She wants to have her dad train her and she'll sign up for random track meets in Atlanta during track season. Hopefully that will help her get better. The middle school track team is a bit of a joke.
When do start worrying about a child's speech? C "talks" all day long but nothing is understandable. He's 16 months and only knows bye-bye, dada, mama, and he started saying hi this weekend. He crawled and walked on the late end of normal so I'm not too concerned yet. I have a feeling he's just going to start talking one day. He knows what we say because he follows directions and does the simple things we ask. I'm going to see what happens over the next 2 months and then bring it up at his 18 month appointment.
oneslybookworm - I don't have direct experience (we chose not to), but I feel like someone I know who had a preemie found out that by the time they were going to do it, baby would require steonger anesthesia or something. I don't know if I made this up.
lms- we talked to a speech therapist yesterday and she said that if they do not have 3 words by 18 months then we are able to put in a referral to see her. (The lady came to one of my baby groups, the group is put on by our health authority here) The "normal" range for words at 18 months is 10-18. (They say aim for 18 words by 18 months)
oneslybookworm- are you able to call your pedi back home and ask them? (Do you have a pedi yet? Lol)
lms, at 18 months my DS knew about 10 words, none of which were mama or dada. It seemed like he was really slow compared to other babies, but then right around 22 months his language exploded. I was traveling for work and the difference between when I left and when I came home was incredible.
oneslybookworm, we circumsized at 2 weeks, but I imagine you are past that point. Like knx said, I think I read something on here about anesthesia being required at 6 months, or something like that. How old is your DS now?
SIL had her baby early this morning. 6 lbs, haven't heard a name yet.

We're likely to go home by Friday. Little man is 2 weeks tomorrow...I'm going to call our family doctor and ask (they also handle pediatrics) and see how to get him in.
So excited you are going home soon, oneslybookworm! We didn't circumcise B so no experience there.
Teeth #3 and #4 have recently broken through, and I am blaming them for B's MOTN wakeups the last week. He has been wanting to nurse when he wakes but I'm pretty sure it's just for comfort, so I'm assuming he's in pain. I've been giving him Motrin and Tylenol but last night I rubbed some baby teething gel on his gums too. I seem to remember reading that it's not really recommended for some reason but I really wanted him to fall back asleep without nursing because I don't want him to get back in that habit after he's been so good at STTN for the last couple months. We were able to get him to go back to sleep without nursing last night which was good. (Although he fell back asleep in our bed which is miserable because he now likes to stretch out across it horizontally; he is lonnnnngg and had me and H both practically falling out off of our California King mattress!)

FYI, it's not recommended because it can be fatal. :/ sorry, I bought some too before I learned that.

I would call insurance to see how long you can wait to have an elective circ. And the pediatrician. But typically, pediatricians like to do it before 2 or 3 months, and after that, a urologist would have to and it's a sedated surgical procedure.
S is sitting by herself now! EKKKK....she can hold it for 5+ minutes and then she falls over lol. Oh and my sweet baby is getting glasses because she is super far sighted and crosses her eyes still.
We FINALLY found some formula that works for her (ne0cate) since she has a milk allergy and the typical hypoallergenic formulas did not work for her. Insurance covers it at 70% too which is awesome. So....I think I am going to wean her to formula. I am ready but SUPER emotional about this. I miss dairy, my body, etc. Any suggestions on how to do this? I usually pump once in the morning and get my biggest output and then 2x at work. Do I just start reducing my pumping sessions by minutes and then try to cut one after a week or two? TEACH me how lol.

We are on our way home!!! ICPC cleared yesterday and we packed our car, had dinner with birth mom, and hit the road. Should be home later this evening, and I am so ready to sleep in my own bed!
oneslybookworm , this is the best update I've read since @iloveradishes brought home her little girl! July is a good month! I am so excited for you and your H.
ETA: derp, I meant thoseareradishes. I cannot speak to her love of the vegetable.

Are you hoping to continue a relationship with birth mom?
I am just so so happy that this time the baby was already born and you didn't have to go through months of worry after being matched again.

We are hoping to continue a relationship with her, yes. We've promised to send photos and letters, and we text fairly often. We'll also likely do visits every to every other year.

So amazing! So glad you are on your way HOME with your baby! When will it be final? Do you get to take a leave at work?

Yay oneslybookworm! So glad you will be home with your little guy soon.
starryfish, I'm also weaning off the pump, and I'm basically just winging it. I've reduced the amount of time at each session first (I was pumping upwards of 3 hours a day, so reducing that was a big first step). I'm planning on dropping a session in the next couple of days. Then I'll continue to decrease the time spent pumping and dropping sessions. I'm prone to clogs so I'm taking it pretty slow.
E had the last of her 4 month shots yesterday, so glad that's done for now. She was feeling pretty crappy, poor girl.
swiftlyirun, thanks for asking. It's being delayed for now. I'm staying on my Lupron and on 2 forms of estrogen, and have a monitoring appointment on Monday. If all looks okay then, I think I would stop the previous meds, and start my PIO and prep for transfer Friday/Saturday. Fine by me! Works better with my work schedule and gets the due date farther from my birthday.

Whoot! Third beta was 8,000.
I'm a little concerned that my RE's new nurse isn't the brightest. More than once others in the office have contradicted the information she has given me (both clinical and insurance related). Could my Ovia pregnancy app be off by 3 days in calculating how far along I am? I asked her what they used to calculate and she confirmed LMP....so I input that in the app.. App says 5w4days RE nurse says 5w1day. I mean I really only care because I'm anxious to get the u/s and that's the difference between a Monday u/s and Wed. Oh well, I guess I need to learn some patience.
