starryfish , C likes his FP jumperoo too! Strangely though, he hasn't figured out he can jump in it. He just plays with all the toys. Does your daughter actually bounce/jump?
And ditto to all the post-TTTC mommy guilt.
H didn't bounce in our at first, just played with the toys. The bouncing is the cutest, but anything that distracts her is fine by me.
I'm a little nervous because of his delays. So, did you have to teach her to jump or did she just eventually catch on? Do you remember how old she was when she figured it out? I've tried showing him and helping him, but nothing yet.
starryfish- we did extinction, as the first night we did Ferber and things got worse every time we went in there. DH is also the weaker one, and extinction was really hard for him.
cactuscookie & starryfishAnd we also have a jumperoo and DD loves it.
Chrysanthemum, A never figured out the jump part of it. Made me a little sad, but she was just happy playing in it, so not the end of the world. Now that she's walking and climbing, she's figured out how to bounce on the couch - definitely not as safe!

This was my H too! I'm not saying I loved listening to her cry, but for me it was preferable to endless rocking and holding and singing etc. 10 minutes into the first night and old softie was saying "maybe I should just go put her on my chest..."

Same here....first night at 12 minutes he went and got her and rocked her...epic fail lol
Hugs mamas!! I was telling a friend that I think parenting after IF is so hard because for so long you've wanted a baby and now you have one and it turns out they are 50% amazing 50% tiny terrorist. And the tiny terrorist part can be AWFUL. It's okay to not like every minute of it!

I like this way of thinking. It's so true.
loira- I didn't love hearing her cry either but leaving the room and just watching tv (with the sound a little louder) and looking at her through the monitor was the easiest way to do it. (The monitor had the sound off)

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow, no progress at all, lol.
boiler717, thanks for that reminder. I decided we'd make this a fun, last baby-free weekend, but it's backfiring. I'm starting to panic that we're about to ruin our lives, even though we've wanted this guy for four years!

Don't panic! You've only ruined the next few months They get fun eventually promise.
Light at the end of the tunnel ladies. Today my 5 year old vacuumed the hall, started his own shower, and put himself to bed!

Ugh, DD has HFM... for the second time in less than 3 months. It's SO bad this time. I haven't slept in DAYS. My baby who usually naps for 4-5 hours a day and STTN isn't napping and is up all night long. She's so sad and I'm even sadder with no sleep, hanging out in my first trimester. ðŸ˜

I think she was 6 or 7 months when she started jumping. I don't think we taught her, but they had the same bouncer at daycare, so they might have taught her there, or she would have seen another kid doing it.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I think I woke up with HFM myself this morning
cactuscookie, He'll be 7 months this week. Who knows. We're only using it in limited amounts per his PT's advice so it could be he doesn't get enough time in it. I'll try to ask at his next appointment. There's so much to worry about!
