Oh, and apparently DHs company is doing a survey for external people repairing a full valve on a toilet. They give you a $100 gift card. I told him to sign me up. Hopefully I don't mess up our bathroom over a $100 gift card...but the extra money would be nice!!
@wimeandcheese- I am glad YH is off for the banquet. That sounds fun.
suzv- why did they bump you? Thats not fun. I can't wait until you move into your new place it looks gorgeous.
luv2rn4fun- it's been in the high 70s low 80s the last few days which is great BUT it's so smokey outside that we can't go outdoors. 🙁
melsamoony- happy birthday to your DS as well. So many birthdays!
It feels like I haven't sat down and relaxed since we found out that all the conditions have been removed and our house is officially sold.
We contacted a real estate agent on Friday and DH was able to get this thurs and fri off so we are driving down to our new city for one night to look at some places. The real estate agent has 15+ properties lined up for the 2 days and we are excited to start looking.
I have spent the last 24 hrs getting all our paper work in line to make sure we can port our mortgage over to the new place. (If we brake it it is $$$, so porting it would work best)
I also figured out my Mat leave pay was messed up again for the 3rd time!?! So I spent over an hr on the phone today trying to figure that out. Urg. (It's figured out now and hopefully the last 11 weeks of my pay will be paid out without any problems)

Anyone know anything about polyps? My dad previously had some removed, and had some more removed today. They said there were 6-7 but they removed 11 today. My mom said they will be tested but the doctor said they looked "precancerous" and he doesn't have to go back for 3 years. I feel like this is conflicting info, lol. Either way, sounds like a positive outcome assuming any tests come back negative (did they do the tests already?). My mom isn't the greatest at relaying information, haha.
awick14 What will you be looking for in a new house?
@@ We had a rough night here - C is teething so me and her didn't sleep much - and DH and I got off on the wrong foot this morning. Thankfully things got better as the day went on.
estrellita - What kind of polyps? Colon polyps? If so, they're actually pretty common. Most polyps are not cancerous, and removing precancerous ones will stop them from developing into colon cancer. As long as he starts having colonoscopies done more frequently than the usual 10 year recommendation (like it sounds like his doctor is already saying should happen), precancerous polyps shouldn't be anything to worry about.
They do send the polyps to the lab for testing, though. I think I had my biopsy results within a week or two of my last scope procedures.

katespade Yes, colon polyps. My poor dad couldn't eat anything after breakfast other than Jello while we were there Sunday until after the procedure today (although he "forgot" a few times and munched on a couple snacks... lol). My mom didn't seem too terribly worried about it and I'm glad to hear it's pretty common. I think the "precancerous" part threw me off and got me worried. Hopefully the results will come back soon and show nothing!
suzv- how much difference of a commute for you? Hopefully not too bad.
bk1- we are going from a 4 bedroom 2 bath house (2200sq ft) with a huge fenced yard. To a 2/3 bedroom 2 bath condo (~900sq ft). Whomp whomp whomp... moving from a HCOL to a VVHCOL.
Fall schedule starts next week (hubby's 2nd job, both of our volunteer positions, M's school) so I'm trying to get the house and life organized but really just starting to feel overwhelmed. Hopefully if I can get everything clean it will be better.
Everything going on in the world is so discouraging and my extended family is blind to reality. Some of them are old and set in their ways so I never know whether to speak up or ignore. It's how I grew up so I know what lies they hear, but they just don't seem open to counter views. I addressed my grandma today about welfare lies and I'll probably be reamed out.

amaranth My family is the same way. I have lots of older family members that just share crap without thinking about it and flat out refuse to listen to actual facts. My mom likes to think she knows everything about these people "working the system" because she works at a bank and can see their accounts. I'll give you one guess as to what group of people this supposedly applies to. It just frustrates me and I don't know how else to get through to people sometimes. I'm also not the best with my words sometimes so it's hard for me to really say what I mean (evidenced by my rambling now, lol). Hope you don't get too much negativity back!
Lots of birthdays this week! Happy birthday to all!
I've been crazy busy at work and exhausted when I get home, so I've been popping in and liking here and there. I'm feeling a lot more confident at work, but still very very nervous about the fact that I'll mostly be on my own starting next week, and actually on my own in about 3 or 4 weeks. Labor and delivery is hard, y'all.
E pooped on the potty tonight! He was fully clothed and diapered but still. Looks like he is getting close to being ready to potty train.
amaranth - was that a family member that shared that post that you commented on and I replied to your comment?
Yes, that was my grandma. She is really deceived by Trump and although I think she truly loves all people, she has a lot of misconceptions about various groups in this country that she feels qualified to judge without all the facts. It's hard because I know she is caring and would literally do anything for anyone, but those misconceptions hurt people too
We left about half and hour ago. It's still early here, too early. We dropped the dog off at a friends and she is taking him to daycare for us today. My sister is going to pick him up and stay with him at our house tonight.
We are booked in to look at one daycare today and to see 5 houses. The we are going to have dinner with or friends down there and tomorrow we will see another 8-9 places and then we will be driving him. These are going to be two long days.
Holy crap. So I just called my chosen OB/GYN's office to schedule a well woman check. Their first available is July of next year. I made the appointment just in case.
I work with this OB, and she said she had availability for new patients. I did specifically ask her about new OB though, since we're TTC. I'm hoping that if/when we do finally get pregnant, she can get me in, and I guess just do my pap then. Ha.
pooh8402- that's horrible! I'm hoping they can get you in earlier.
I will admit that I've put off Pap tests until I was pregnant/miscarrying a doctor was already needing to be up in my business anyways. So much easier that way.

Had my dentist appointment today... not great, lol. Cavities and of course my gums aren't great, which I knew (I had gum grafting done a long time ago). Fillings are EXPENSIVE. So I'm waiting on those for now. I'm going to look into the cost difference for the higher up dental plan and what they cover. I about had a heart attack after she showed me the price after insurance! How did my parents afford all the dental stuff I had done?!

I had mine with my last OB 3 years ago, a couple months before we did our first IVF. My RE at the time wanted a recent (within the last year) negative pap before proceeding. Why she couldn't do it herself, I don't know. She is a trained OB.
I'm on an every 3 year pap schedule now since I'm over 30 (but typically get my well woman check every year, just don't get the pap every year). With the move and the FET, I had put off trying to schedule a well woman check since I was going to be pregnant anyway. I wonder what my new RE will do.

Hi ladies! It's been a busy week. I'm trying to catch up. I worked a few hours of overtime and now finally home relaxing. I'm going to have an afternoon of pampering myself at home. My job is having a fundraising spaghetti dinner but I may skip it and give them the cost of the 2 meals. It's only $20 for 2.
My friend asked me to do her makeup tomorrow for the fire company banquet. I said yes but I've never done makeup on another adult. I've put a little on my niece's for fun but I have no clue how to do it lol. Any tips? She told me I couldn't do any worst then she would so I guess she has a little confidence in me lol.
I started a blog. I don't know how often I'll actually post on it, but it feels nice to have a place to put my thoughts. I think it might be a good exercise for me to go through, even if no one else bothers to read it.
E is sick. Daycare called today for me to pick him up. There is a case of strep in his room, so I went ahead and took him to the pedi for a swab. Normally I'd wait, but if it's strep I wanted to have him seen sooner rather than later. Swab was negative and his ears are fine, so it's likely viral. He was fine this afternoon while the Tylenol was active but as soon as it wore off he got grouchy again. He basically put himself to bed tonight.
katespade That sounds like a great idea. I hope it works as a good outlet for you. I would love to read it as well if you are okay with that.
@@ C has been teething. Getting in 2 right now. She had me up twice before midnight and from 2:30am - 4:30am. On top of that, G is sick. Fever, body aches just wanting to be held constantly. It's been a rough 48 hours in this house. Hoping for more sleep tonight!

((Hugs)) pooh8402 and bk1. Hope everyone is healthy soon and C starts sleeping better for you bk1. I think L is teething again (he's biting me a lot when nursing...ouch!) and he is in full on new skill mode so sleep sucks right now.
katespade- I wrote a blog when we were going through our losses and pregnancy after loss. It really did help me work through all my emotions. I hope it helps you as well and I also would love to read it whenever you are ready to share.
I love Old Navy! I got 3 pairs of sandals for $6.45! Granted I wore holes in both my old pairs and had to buy new ones...but I figure they lasted long enough considering how much I wear them when I am walking (and have even done some running home from the park in them, which I am sure isn't good for them and looks hideous!).
It was a long day today...we ran errands, I cleaned during and after naps, made dinner, dealt with shenanigans from both boys, and they had late bedtimes. Both are in bed (although L keeps waking screaming so who knows what tonight has in store for me) and I am drinking vodka and cranberry!
