Wednesday is my grandma's 80th birthday, so we're going out to dinner with her.
We also have a wedding to go to on Saturday, if it's safe to drive this weekend.
Basically, we've been told to expect everything to shut down this weekend due to the eclipse, most likely starting on Friday. They're expecting anywhere between 50,000 and 200,000 people to be traveling here to see it (to our 50,000 population town), and they've said to expect all traffic to be at a standstill, to stock up on food/water and gas in case stores and stations run out, and prepare to lose power, water, internet, cell signal, etc.
I'm not risking my life to go to a wedding, so if things really do get as bad as they're expecting them to we will be staying home.
Luckily, the gym is within walking distance of our house. LOL.
DS's birthday us on Wed too, can't believe my little guy is 1 already! We have DH's family coming into town on Wed and we'll be doing stuff with them Thurs/Fri, then my family comes in on Sat and we're having his birthday party at a minor league baseball stadium. Just immediate family so it's small and I am keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't rain!
Thank going we have a much quieter week this week. Last week we had painters at the house all week, family pictures, and DS started school.
We've been at the IL's since last Sunday and we finally get to go home today when the painting is done. Everyone gets along, but I'm ready to be back in my house.
@@ I have my 30 week appointment on Thursday. Time is flying by.

Happy 1st birthday to your DS!! I can't believe it's been a year (and I totally forgot that we share a birthday, lol.)
HoneySpider- happy birthday to R! Can't believe how fast this year went! Have fun celebrating your cute little guy!
suzv- good luck with the move! Love everything you are doing to your home!
Not much going on here this week. Play date with the neighbors this afternoon.
My dads bday is tomorrow so we will see him (need to bake him some cookies!)! We also have a ceiling fan being installed and the new/corrected hardware being put in the French doors tomorrow.
Saturday we have a bday party for the neighbor kid in the afternoon. There is also a concert at the lake that I might see if my parents are willing to watch the boys sleep so we can go.
Other than that, the forecast doesn't reach 80 this week so we will be outside as much as possible! Lots of time at the park and walks!
I am helping to put together an outdoor movie at our church Friday night. On Saturday, J and I are going with my parents to a town two hours away to go boating and swimming. It also involves camping.
@ I have a major nausea aversion to toilets right now (seriously, if I even look at a toilet that is not 100% pristine and sparkling, I start to throw up), so I am thinking of splurging for a hotel.

HoneySpider and ewall joining the bday train DS is turning THREE Friday....how is that even possible? I have to work but we are doing breakfast and then he has a daycare party at 3. If it doesnt rain the plan is to do mini golf after the daycare party.
Family bday party Saturday. My usualy dance class on Thursday. H and I each have a doctors appt wed. We go to the same doc so we schedule appts back to back.
I have to find time to get DS's presentd and order food for his party. Think we are doing jimmy johns.
suzv I moved last year the second week I was back at school. It was the most exhausting week of my life but it was worth it. (I was also 6 weeks pregnant.) Good luck! Sorry about the classroom switch, what a pain.
Today is our 8 year wedding anniversary. I made a nice dinner for H and I which we ate while we each had a crying kid on our lap lol. Oh well, the dinner was good! We are starting to think about a kid free vacation for our 10 year- open to suggestions!
This week I have another GI appt and a lactation appt for G. I'm curious to see if either of them have any insight to see why he sucks at sleep.
I also need to plan the new course I'm assigned to teach- public speaking. I have no idea how to teach that and of course there's no curriculum. I can't believe maternity leave is almost over, although and I am excited for adult interaction!

Happy birthday to your DS melsamoony! It's birthday week in the Water Cooler!
Happy anniversary Blue Moon! Our 8th is in Oct and I feel like I'm always saying we should do something big for our 10th and then realize it's not that far away! Crazy.
Blue Moon how much does G weigh? DS had very similar issues and had such a tough time sleeping til he got about 15 lbs.
He is over 15 lbs and will be 3 months tomorrow. He sure seems big enough to be sleeping more than 2 hours at a time!
Oh man. I got nothing. DS was that way for a while but was only 12 lbs at 3 months as he tried to starve himself for a really long time and had an atypical MSPI presentation. I hope lactation/gi have some insight.
Good luck moving suzv! I'm loving all the pics you have been posting!
We did music class today. Library classes are cancelled for the next couple weeks while remodeling is going on so it was probably the last class DH will go with us. G hadn't been participating much so we hadn't been in a month or so but she did great today.
Tomorrow MIL is watching the girls so I can get my hair cut. I haven't had it done since before C was born. Nothing special - getting a trim I think - but so excited for some "me" time!!! I might go use a star reward and get some coffee too.
Wednesday taking the girls to my mom's to hang out. Will probably do lunch with my mom and grandma. I'm going to try and do this once a week so we can get out of the house and I can get some help with the girls for a bit.
Saturday is DH's birthday. We are going to the ILs for a big birthday celebration. DH, BIL, and SIL all have August birthdays so MIL makes a big dinner and 3 cakes So yummy! Looking forward to it.
@mrsmb I totally feel you on the picture! I had a really good one and ended up going to change my address at 40 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I wasn't expecting a new picture to be taken, but they took one and it was...not flattering.

suzv Good luck moving! Hiring movers will definitely make it smoother. It's nice to tell other people where to carry your heavy furniture.
MrsMB Can you renew it online? When I renewed mine last year, I did it online because I didn't want to have to take a new picture, lol. You print out a temporary one until they mail you a new one.

They won't let me.....maybe because this picture is 9 years old. Does that sound right? All I know is the letter said I needed a new picture this time I just need to suck it up!!!
MrsMB Dang, that sucks. I think mine is like 7 or 8 years old, so I'm sure I'll have to take a new one next time. Good luck, I always hate that process.
MrsMB- ugh. I hate anything that relates to the DMV but especially having to take a new picture when you have one you like! Good luck friend!
It's my dads birthday today! He came over and we walked with the boys to Starbucks! So great getting to spend a good chunk of time with him! And he helped put C down for his nap while I put L down! We all enjoyed our visit!! So fun seeing C and my dad bond!
We also had a ceiling fan installed in the playroom and hardware changed on our French doors! Our house is slowly coming together! And I survived dealing with the chaos and the boys (we were home for a good hour before we finally decided to leave...and of course they both showed up right as L woke from his nap and needed to be nursed).
We need to go grocery shopping once the boys are awake. Hoping to do that and maybe take them to a park! Might see what the neighbors are up to and coordinate a play date if we can!
