My sister has my great grandmas maiden name as her middle, and it's not an attractive name (Fleming). When she got married she planned to change her name to her maiden name to her middle. GG died right before her wedding and she left her money for having the name! She was the only one of our generation to get money, so she couldn't change it after that lol!
This makes me think of the movie Runaway Bride where the radio host's last name was Fleming and his show was called "Wake Up with Flem."
Is my love for that movie a flameful?
Yep that was her unfortunate nickname. And I love that movie too! But I love all of the Gary Marshall movies
I didn't think anyone would be able to top my acquaintance who had four under two (singleton, twins, singleton) but you just did!
I don't see how this is possible. Was the oldest under 3? That's 3 pregnancies, so roughly 27 months.
You only count from after the birth of the first one, so only 2 pregnancies. Baby 1 was born, ~10 months later twins, ~10 months later another baby, at which point oldest is ~20 months old.

Oh, 5? I forgot to mention it was the bar exam in the early fall 1981. I was 4. Since I was born with my bachelor's diploma, I managed to zip right through law school in 18 months; I waited to start until I'd finished potty training.

I think the hidden camera videos of sacred meetings are a little ick. I think...I don't know, I can't tell how I feel. I am a former Mormon, and I certainly don't believe a lick of it, but it feels a little gross to be so voyeuristic about other peoples beliefs. Would you watch hidden camera videos of a different religions sacred ceremonies?
But I am also more than happy to tell my friends all the dirty details of Mormonism, so maybe I am a hypocrite?
I have an acquaintance who has 4 under 4. I have no idea how she does it, but I suspect it is made possible by a lot of $$$$$ and a lot of family support. When the youngest was about 6 months she and her H took a kid-free vacation to Europe for like 10 days. I could not believe it. Who the hell would want to watch 4 kids under 4 for that long?!?! On FB her life does look pintresty and perfect. It's baffling.I have
I have a friend who has twins who are 6, a singleton who is 4, triplets who are 2, and is pregnant with twins.
And yet she is somehow more calm and relaxed with her kids than I could ever be.
eta: Fixed one of the ages
Thank you for the spark to have a nightmare tonight 😭
Regarding last names as first names- any Sex and the City fans bothered by the fact that Miranda gave her son the baby-daddy's last name- Brady. But then she ends up marrying him, so the kid possibly ended up with the name Brady Brady. This was never addressed! And I guess it's flameful that I even noticed/care this many years later.
Regarding the "Supreme Court test" or whatever else people call it- So True, I mean, who could possibly Imagine someone in a position of prestige being named Barack or Condoleezza, psh!
My almost 25 year old daughter is named for my mom's maiden name. Mostly out of respect for my grandparents. But, its Taylor so also a common name that was trendy at the time I used it.
DD is 23 and also Taylor. She was supposed to be Tyler (we knew she was a girl but I liked the name...) but my BFF at the time named her son that 3 months before DD was born. So we swapped a few letters...and DD's first name is the only name of all three kids that isn't a family name. DS1 was almost named Reason (a family name...) but it didn't pass the "naughty" test where I would use the name and yell "no *name*!" As if they were in trouble. Yelling "No Reason!" Sounded dumb and was crossed off the list.
This is absolutely why I WOULD name my kid Reason. That would be so funny to have people think I was just randomly yelling out "No Reason!" at the park.

A wife of a Howard Stern employee is named Christy Christie. Not sure how she spells her name.
I know someone with 3 kids with names that all start with K. When they were expecting #3 we all had to laugh that you can't get any personalized jewelry. This person really wanted a 3rd K name to keep with the them. Looking back this person hasn't denouced Trump, so I have to side eye this.
Oh man. I know a family who did this; the middle daughter was in my class in elementary school. Each daughter's first name started with a K and there were 3 girls. Their last name also started with a K. And...you guessed it. Their middle names also started with a K.
I can't believe the parents did this.
PDQ, as I might delete this as it could be identifying and I wouldn't want one of the girls to see/find it here.

I follow this instagram of this family who had 6 under 4. Similar spacing except then the last one was triplets lol. She was 22 too.

I know a woman named Kelly Kelly. She married a guy with the last name Kelly and took it anyway.
