Today - Blood draw for labs at lunch and a thyroid ultrasound this afternoon. Tuesday - Bang trim after work. Wednesday - Hopefully I'll get the new gym clothes I ordered. Friday - Endo appt in the morning, tattoo session in the afternoon.
Unsure on plans for the weekend. H and I have a three day weekend together thanks to Labor Day, so hopefully we'll find something fun to do.
Busy week here but mainly because it's going to be hot and our a/c will be turned off 4-8p. All of us except DH are fighting a cold so this should be fun...
Today: need to run to BRU in the morning and make some pouches; mall and Starbucks after nap Tuesday: library and Panera bread in the afternoon Wednesday: mall Thursday: seeing my brother and going swimming with the boys Sunday: taking the boys to the zoo (most likely)

medium busy/slow week for me, lol.
My boss is out this week, so work wise it'll prob be slow.
Tues - Bday, I'll be a year older than 42..... Wed - My hubs and I have a walk-thru of my daughter's new school. She's starting PRE-SCHOOL, AHHHHHHHH and then work from home, so, slow. Thur, Fri -Depending on how frazzled the other ex. assistant is I may be pulling out my hair helping put loose endings together for our new co celebration. We are leaving Hewlett Packard Entrp to Microfocus, so I've been helping out with the planning of the 2day celebration.
Ok the county judge (my "uncle" aka my dad's BFF) back home just ordered a mandatory evacuation of the low lying portions surrounding the river of my home county. Because they're opening up the dam upstream.
My week: Monday: trying to get the motivation to be productive but I can't stop watching the news. Tuesday: E has a dentist appointment, wee! Wee, Thurs, Fri: working. Sat: first weekend of college football! Sun: Aggies at UCLA!

Not a whole lot. A friend will be in town this weekend, I'm excited to see her! She moved to Seattle a while ago so it's been a long time, plus we get to meet her new BF
@ - u/s on Wed morning, baby was stubborn last time and they just want to get a good view of the spine.
It's a busy start to the week here for us. Today: moving the last of our stuff out of our house/cleaning the house. (And lets face it, having a good cry that we sold our first house 😢) Also my moms group this afternoon. Tues- giving up possession of our house/organizing stuff at my ils. Wed- home inspection on our new place. (Hopefully it goes better) Fri- camping for the long weekend with my family.
To update on the new house situation, the owners countered or offer $3k above our "max" for the property. DH didn't want to agree to that price because it was over. But I convinced him to agree, because if we walked he would have to take time off, go back to the other city, deal with DD and more showings etc. The possession date is exactly the day we wanted, moving in Oct 15th, so it give us 3 weeks before I start work.
This place is defiantly nicer looking and more updated, but it's about 250sq ft smaller with one less bedroom, but one more bathroom. We will figure it out though.
I don't have too much going on this week. That's fine considering last week was full of appointments.
Our anniversary is Wednesday. I'll go pick up a few things for that tomorrow. We will probably have a quiet evening at home after DH gets off work Wednesday.
The latter part of the week, I'll do a teeny bit of planning for a small get together we have with a couple we used to be friends with. I want DH to rekindle that bromance so badly. But I can't force anything. That guy was a good presence in his life when we first got together...and they had a blast hanging out.
Saturday....I watch the Tide roll in )
pooh8402 the TX flood footage has been so scary...it looks really awful down there.
My self-imposed August spending freeze went down the drain.
I only have two pairs of workout pants, and one of them has a hole in it that's steadily getting bigger, so I've been on the hunt for a new pair. Of course, in the process of doing that I somehow ended up ordering two pairs of pants, four shirts, five sports bras, and a headband. But I got it all for $90!
A friend just posted pictures of their cross country road trip and the ones from Oregon were incredible. So beautiful. And no one related to my H's side to be seen 😂

Not a busy week. Mostly working and then I have my Wednesday off with DS. Dance either tonight or Thursday. Catching up on some tv shows.
Friday we leave for a labor day lake trip with my inlaws.
Potential trigger: I got some terrible news about a coworker's son today. The son was hit by a car while walking the family dog. He is in the neuro icu on life support and with a broken pelvis. He is expected to survive fortunately but the long term outcome is not known. If you are the praying type please, please pray.

melsamoony- how tragic 🙁 Praying for him and the entire family.
amaranth- ((hugs)) sorry for your ILs causing so much drama. DH'S family is the same way so I can totally relate. Thankful they live far enough away...MIL has made comments about buying a place near us so she can visit more and I am like "nope, not going to happen if I have any say" (of course they can move wherever they want but I am not putting my or the boys life on hold so she can spend every second with us...once a week for a couple hours, sure...more than that, she can come when DH is home).
melsamoony I said a prayer for him, that sounds so difficult for the whole family How old is the boy?
luv2rn4fun I'm kind of glad our long term plan is to move even further north, making visits more challenging. Unfortunately most of the drama occurs in spite of limited in person interaction. I called and vented to my mom for an hour and that helped a ton. She and I may not see eye to eye on a lot, but she can at least agree this drama is crazy! lol. Sorry you have to deal with it too
how awful melsamoony! I'm hoping he comes through with minimal long term issues. I used to take care of patients like him all the time on the trauma floor, and you would not believe how many ended up making near full recoveries and walking out of the hospital.
MrsAggie updated on FB.. she's with her parents but her own neighborhood is in knee-to-waist deep water. Her neighborhood is below one of the lakes currently draining water through its dam, similar to my family.

Today went about as awesome (insert sarcasm) as I envisioned. I am still sick (mild fever, coughing, sneezing, runny nose) and now L likely has RSV again (C is still coughing too but is pretty much back to his normal self). We went to the mall to avoid the heat and kill time before bedtime. However, I pushed bedtime knowing we wouldn't have a/c. Both boys are a mess and I haven't had my downtime...basically been going non stop all day. To add to it, DH wasn't feeling well at the mall and proceeded to vomit when we got home. Thankfully he is fever free so hopefully it's not the flu. I have a feeling I won't be getting much rest tonight, which is the opposite of what my body needs right now...but L is coughing and wheezing so I will be worried about him.
Good news...even DH agreed this was a stupid idea and called the electric company. Now they can only turn us off for 2 hours (instead of 4) and it shouldn't effect bedtime from now on. Speaking of...they didn't turn out a/c back on til about 8:30 instead of 8:00 like they were supposed to.
