I was hoping so hard for an uneventful night for you. The k3am family needs rest so you all can recover. I really hope the rest of the night went more smoothly.

I'm also tearing up over here! Glad to hear the surgery was successful and they were able to save most of her hair. Hope they were able to settle her stomach and the rest of the night went better. Sending thoughts and prayers and hoping for a good day today!
Hope the anti nausea meds worked, or the nausea abated. IDK what she's into watching post-Frozen, but DS discovered fishing videos on YouTube kids and is obsessed. The noodling ones especially. DD sits with him and they cheer. For fishing.
The only good thing about that night being the absolute worst is that hopefully today and tonight will be slowly and incrementally better. And the hospital is the worst for sleep!
Last night was awful. She's in a viscous cycle of pain and nausea. Morphine takes away the pain but makes her nauseous. Puking makes the pain worse. I don't know how she has anything to puke left - she's had two small cartons of juice since Tuesday night. But the girl excels at everything she does, including puke.
Can they switch her meds off morphine? We had a pain team round the hospital which was a really good thing. I'm trying to think of meds off the top of my head- hydrocodeine? Vicodin? And see if they can alternate IB Profen. They have to clear IB Profen because it minimally thins the blood so bleeding etc. Tylenol plus drugs I don't think Tylenol thins the blood. Push them on this because she can't throw up that much poor sweetie and mom.
I broke my caffeine/soda ban yesterday and I don't even feel bad about it.
She fell asleep, puked some more. They've adjusted the morphine to be released over time vs just all at once. Doesn't provide as much relief, but hopefully won't cause as much vomiting.
We have her MRI at 11 (so in hospital time, sometime between 11 and 1:30).
