I have a few things from Penzey's that I really like, but was wondering what others like from there. I'm planning on creating a gift box as a wedding gift for my cousin, though, and don't know what to include. What are your tried and true, always purchased things from there? I'm looking to get 5-10 things.
Some spice blends I use a lot: Italian Herb Mix Arizona Dreaming (salt-free taco/burrito seasoning) Smoky 4/S (seasoned salt) Pizza Seasoning Chicago Steak Seasoning
Spices for baking (cinnamon, vanilla) are also nice in a gift box.

The Special Seasoned Sea Salt (S4) is magical on grilled chicken with skin -- like legs. I haven't been a fan of chicken legs since I was a kid, but that stuff makes them delicious.
I love their cinnamon. My DH is a big fan of the BBQ 3000.

I agree with many listed! If she's/ they're a salad-eater(s), I really enjoy their garden salad seasoning. (Though, admittedly- haven't tried an extensive array of salad seasoning 😌)

My spice cabinet is full of Penzeys.
I just got the bangkok blend free with my last purchase- what do you use yours on?
We really like Quebec seasoning on steaks or burgers. Their BBQ of the Americas is good. I put it on a steak. I have a ton of the Sunny Paris since I had bought that once and then received it for free recently, I put it in crab cakes before. I just received the taco seasoning and I am excited to try it.

We eat lots of roasted veggies, and we rotate among northwoods or Bangkok blend on those. I also put it on my trout. The Penzeys Bangkok Noodles recipe is on my list to try!

I love their dill - both weed and seeds. Minced onions. Air dried shallots. Their green goddess dressing base. All of their cinnamons. ALL. High fat cocoa. Everything. I like their everything. And most importantly, I love their values.
Find out if they are the premixed spice type. Some people LOVE premixed spices. Personally I don't see the point - you are stuck with exactly that balance rather than individual spices you can blend however you want.
I keep about 20 dried herbs and spices on hand and love that i can make a Ras el Hanout, or Garam Masala, or herbes de provenance, or spiced snickerdoodles or whatever rather than a few fixed blends.

Good idea. I do have 1 or 2 premixed, but I am generally not a premixed person. I don't know the fiance, but my aunt and uncle can barely cook so I would bet on when my cousin does it would be with premixed, and he would not able to know what flavors complement each other. I could be completely wrong, though. I'll text his sister before heading to the store.
