that portrait is terrible...it looks like an amateur snap shot & it poorly lit- it is under exposed Pence's photo looks like the quality/style I would expect
ETA: just compare the white part of their collars, the bokeah/blurines of the flag + wrinkles, the way Pence has catch lights in his eyes, how there is nothing distracting in the background behind pence & the flag is further behind him
Pence clearly took his picture in the normal portrait setup at a government facility. Trump is standing in the Oval Office - you can tell by the wallpaper and frame. Someone may have taken it with an iPhone. Maybe it’s his iPhone after they snatched it mid-tweet?
Curious that a man with that ego wouldn’t want a nice portrait.
Honestly, I think he has too short an attention span to sit for a nice portrait.

It was probably the only way they could tone down the orange. lol
Or maybe Melania is now a mom-tographer and this is her big break.
It is reallllly pissing me off to see people call Papadopolous a kid. I am 29 years old and have two children, a career, a house that I own, and have paid taxes for a decade. I am not a “kid” and neither is that asshole!
The Rs can't govern for shit, but they are *exceptional* at opposition, talking points, publicity, and controlling the narrative. They know this. All they need to succeed and remain in power is an "enemy." Obama and Clinton are/would have been, respectively, those "enemies." They would have had an easy 4 more years (at minimum) in power in Congress if she had won. As much as I wish she was in office, it would have been brutal. They would have continued with emails/Benghazi, rolled out this "scandal," and the shady shit going on w/r/t Russia would have likely not gotten even half the coverage is has today. It would have been much harder to bring the corruption to light if she had won, because we'd be hearing "ok, well even *if* Russia had meddled in our election, it didn't even matter, because here she is, so whatever, it's not important, but EMAILS ARE!"
She'd be painted as a sore winner out for revenge on her loser opponent and entire Republican party.
Going nerdy here...this reminds me of Wolf Hall, how Cromwell takes down each of the guys who mocked Wolsey after his death, one by one. I hope Mueller is that cunning and ruthless.

I was thinking about this yesterday, that it would be so much harder to convict anyone in 45's circle of anything if Hillary had won because it would be so fraught with bullshit. But it's all fraught with bullshit anyway, so who knows. I agree that the GOP hates their success so much more than they would have hated their failure, and now they are having to resort to fighting each other.
The Maryland attorney general is investigating one of the Kushner family's real estate businesses after media reports surfaced earlier this year about allegedly abusive debt collection practices and poor conditions at several of its properties.
Kushner Companies said it is cooperating with Attorney General Brian Frosh, Maryland's top legal officer.
"We have been working with the Maryland Attorney General's Office to provide information in response to its request," Kushner Companies told CNN through a spokesperson. "We are in compliance with all state and local laws."
A Baltimore-based attorney is working with Kushner Companies on the matter, according to a person familiar with the attorney general's inquiry.
A spokesperson for the AG's office declined to comment, citing a policy of not confirming or denying investigations.
In July, President Trump wrote on Twitter that “all agree the U.S. President has the complete power to pardon.”
But for Paul J. Manafort, who surrendered to the F.B.I. on Monday after being indicted on federal criminal charges, Mr. Trump’s power has a limitation of potential significance: a presidential pardon does not apply to charges from state and local authorities.
Although it is not known whether Mr. Manafort will receive or even request a presidential pardon, he also faces scrutiny from authorities in New York whose prosecutions would not be subject to one.
Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., the Manhattan district attorney, and Eric T. Schneiderman, the New York state attorney general, have been pursuing their own investigations into Mr. Manafort, a former campaign chairman to Mr. Trump. Although those investigations are unfolding separately from the federal case that the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, filed against Mr. Manafort, the New York authorities are examining some of the same activity highlighted in the federal indictment, underscoring the relevance of their exemption from a potential pardon.

Ditto. At 29 I was married, had adopted a child, bought a house and gotten my 5 year service award bonus. Only a white male would be called a kid at 29.

Especially with Hannity and cos slips on saying President Clinton and the Clinton administration. Subconsciously I think they have built such a narrative in their head that they have to remind themselves she is not our president.
They have all made careers on the back of Clinton and Obama. Now they have to own their shit... But yet they have no idea how to do that so now uranium is the new word to try to make their outrage relevant.

Glenn Beck was vocal in his opposition to trump. For a stupid reason, I listened to his show the day after MichelleO's we go high speech, and he was saying that no matter who wins is going to be facing an extreme uphill battle for the next 4-8 years, and so it should be Hillary.

I think because of his ego, he demanded it be done in the Oval. I don’t think he cares about any of the rest of the WH, but the Oval is power.
