His confirmation hearing is Nov 9. I wonder how long until he withdraws from consideration. Got to be a conundrum: withdraw and look guilty AF, or go to the public hearing and perjure yourself some more.
Too bad so sad bye bye fucker.
Oh, I have no doubt they will confirm him. The R's are what they are and what they've been for a decade, after all.
Oh they will confirm him. If he sits through it. He's in Mueller's crosshairs. Since the GOP will rubber stamp his appointment, their best strategy is to use their time to help Mueller put him in prison. He's pretty fucking dumb if he thinks it's a good idea to subject himself to hours of public testimony under oath right now.

Not sure why since I really don’t know anything about him, but I think he might drop out before the confirmation hearing.

This is just great. Papa was found initially on LInkedIn because Ben Carson needed foreign policy help. He then wandered over to the 45 campaign and noone vetted him. He had no experience.
At 29, Papadopoulos had scant experience that qualified him to advise a presidential candidate. He had entered the Trump campaign after a six-week stint working for the campaign of Trump’s rival for the Republican nomination, neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
Carson’s campaign manager, Barry Bennett, recalled that Papadopoulos was hired after sending him an unsolicited message via LinkedIn seeking a job.
At the time, Carson’s campaign was desperate to show it had policy experts advising his campaign, given that most leading Republican foreign policy thinkers had been snapped up by other candidates.
Bennett said his only vetting was to ask a friend at the Washington-based Hudson Institute, where Papadopoulos’s résumé indicated he had worked as a researcher, whether Papadopoulos was “an okay guy.”
Some employees at Fox News were left embarrassed and humiliated by their network's coverage of the latest revelations in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election meddling, according to conversations CNN had with several individuals placed throughout the network.
"I'm watching now and screaming," one Fox News personality said in a text message to CNN as the person watched their network's coverage. "I want to quit."
"It is another blow to journalists at Fox who come in every day wanting to cover the news in a fair and objective way," one senior Fox News employee told CNN of their outlet's coverage, adding that there were "many eye rolls" in the newsroom over how the news was covered.
The person said, "Fox feels like an extension of the Trump White House."
The employees spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. A Fox News spokesperson told CNN the network covered the breaking news accurately and fairly across both news and opinion programming.

So? Who’s forcing you to work there and go along with it?
You know, I actually can buy that many Fox employees were embarrassed by their coverage on Monday, and not just the few remaining journalists that they have (Chris Wallace sometimes?)
It's one thing to spin a story, and something else entirely to just ignore it and become the laughing stock of late night because of freaking HAMBURGER EMOJIS.
Now, that said, I don't actually have sympathy because those people have been going along with the Fox narrative for a long time, and Monday was just kind of the pinnacle of it. It's like they are the frogs who have finally been boiled.
ETA but ALSO - its one thing for a low level Fox employee to be embarrassed. It's another thing for a "fox news personality" or a "senior fox news employee" to be embarrassed. this is what you created!!
Huh. At first I thought this meant he had three passports to three different countries which wouldn't be that weird to me, but I didn't even know you could have more than one US passport at one time (unless one is diplomatic or something).
I've had 2 for US. No fee passport for mil reasons. Not diplomatic. I think h had 3 at one point.

One thing I keep seeing is people saying: yes, they admit there were meetings but the Russians never gave them "the goods" so to speak so they were never able to use anything the Russians had on HRC against her. Is this a real defense? I feel like going to the meetings is evidence of collusion but is it illegal enough to go to jail for?

well....what I've learned so far... "collusion" in and of itself isn't a listed crime anywhere. There are numerous laws that can be broken in order to collude. Also, these various acts that they may be charged with are generally all for things that they don't necessarily need to be successful at completing/doing them to be charged. I think you will see lots of "conspiracy to ....", which they can use to charge people for attempting or planning or enabling to break laws.
So if they had these meetings...that wasn't illegal. If they were planning on working with a foreign entity to influence the national election, then that certainly is a crime.
I just wanted to add my FUCK BERNIE to the chorus. Literally, Hillary her entire career. Michelle wasn't focusing just on food (but also there was "food helps kids do better in school" as one of many talking points because they're capable of multi-faceted discussions. And how many schools did she and President Obama (he will always be President, unlike the one in the Oval Office now, who I reference by last name only) show up at? Those weren't just for photo ops of lettuce gardens and jumping jacks. And what about former librarian Laura Bush?
For the record Bernie (and half of my neighbors) WE'RE CAPABLE OF WORRYING ABOUT MORE THAN ONE THING! (And of more than just ourselves.)
