I'm trying to go through my makeup this weekend, purge the stuff that I have no desire to use and organize the mess in a different way that will allow me to browse, without buying furniture to store the stuff in. I bought a set of 6 by 10 inch baskets/lids and I just filled one of them up with nothing but false lashes.
WTF. And those are just the "extras". I have no less than 4 pairs in current rotation. I don't even wear falsies that much. OMG.
I really need to reorganize and rotate some of my makeup too. I've been so focused on panning this year that I've only been using the same few products. Time to enjoy the rest of my collection. I pulled out ColourPop's Echo Park liquid lipstick and loved it. I remembered it being patchy when I first tried it but it wore beautifully today and was very comfortable.
Now that my son has moved out we have two empty bedrooms. My project this winter is to clean out the spare bedroom (which is currently an office/catch-all) and move things from that room to my DS's old room and set up an organized make-up space in the spare bedroom. I will finally have organization and a room just for my stuff. The other half of the room will be my craft room!
Has anyone tried any of the charcoal powder whitening treatments? I keep seeing adds on FB and I've looked at a few on Amazon but haven’t pulled the trigger. I can’t use white strips because they make my already sensitive teeth super sensitive and painful. The charcoal is supposed to be gentle and safe for all dental work, sensitive teeth etc. I just want a “real” review of someone I “know “ before buying.
NewGirlNic, I use a charcoal toothpaste powder on occasion. I have sensitive teeth and it's been fine. I don't know how much whiter it gets my teeth though- but I drink a lot of yellowing beverages (coffee, diet soda, tea).

Yay for being an empty nester.
So jealous! What I wouldn't give to have my own room to organize and set up a makeup space!

It's so awesome having a makeup room. I had one for a month until my DS decided he wanted his own room(shakes fist!)
I bought the Too Faced today's special from HSN this past week and just got it. I used it for the first time today. It's a holiday shadow palette and really pretty, but my eyes are really irritated and itchy. Too Faced doesn't usually bother me, so not sure what's going on. One of the colors i used was a glitter shadow, so maybe that's it. I don't usually go for glittery shadow. I'm wondering if their holiday palettes are a different formula than their permanent ones. I don't usually get their limited edition ones.
Our house is on the market so I had to pack up most of my makeup. I have a CC cream, a foundation, a primer, a blush, the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, UD Naked Basics II palette, 2 deluxe sample mascaras, a brow pencil, a couple of lip products, and MUFE setting powder + brushes. It's fine. I miss my blush palette, all of my lipsticks/glosses/etc and a couple of eyeshadow palettes but overall, I'm kind of dreading having to unpack my whole collection when we settle into the new house.
calico, In case the micellar water doesn't work for you, Japonesque also has individual lip wipes. I tried one or two as samples and was pretty happy with the results.
I just remembered why I stopped wearing the couple of Bite mini lipsticks in the old formula. I'm wearing one today and I can't get a smooth lipline to save my life.

I’d ask an actual dentist. There’s a dentist on ML, I can’t remember her sn, I’d put the question on there. I wouldn’t mess with enamel.
I just took a cheesy "I voted today" selfie in my car (it's raining). I'm only wearing mascara and lip gloss and my skin looks sooo freaking good. I've got a few small breakouts on my chin, but they are tiny and didn't translate into the photo. BUT- my hyperpigmentation and dark as night circles seem to be diminishing.

Several people on my local were using one, including people posting some really impressive before and after pics, and then somebody asked their dentist about it and her dentist was all, YOU'RE ALL SCRAPING OFF YOUR ENAMEL. and it scared me off. I've already got sensitive teeth. I don't need that.
So...it definitely works. But I'm not convinced it doesn't damage your teeth.
Anyone else get the Ulta email with a coupon for $80 off the Dyson hair dryer followed by an oops email that the code won't work but here's 20% off any hair styler EXCEPT the Dyson. Lol get your shit together Ulta.

And I loved how the subject of the email was along the lines of $80 off dyson hair dryer, yes really! The "yes really" killed me because it should have said, "just kidding!"

Does anyone want a barely used bottle of Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum? I don't know why it seems to suck on my skin so much when it looked good after the consultant put it on me, but I've tried it several ways and it's just not working for my face. I'm heading to the States for Christmas so I'm happy to ship it then - I'll send it for the cost of the shipping as it's going to get tossed otherwise (we can't return makeup the same way here).

Is there, like, a cliff notes on the Asian skin care thread? I feel like that's nearly achieved the intimidating status of the original Makeup thread on P&CE. 😣

My version of the cliffnotes of the Asian skincare thread was just to not read the middle 2/3 of it. I read the first few pages, then skipped to (what was at the time) the last 5 or so pages and went from there.
Or just refuse and start a new post with whatever your specific questions are.
