We had our first appt today and we heard a strong heartbeat! Growth is right on track too. So far, so good. Next appt is in 3 weeks and I'll have a CVS early in January so until we get those results I'll be a mess but FX.

We're going to PA for my niece's birthday party this weekend. Otherwise, a fairly normal week.

Low key week here, just trying to get and keep everyone healthy!

Today: had L’s followup and it went well. Just need to keep him on albuterol and his controller for the rest of the week. We are hanging out with our neighbors once the boys wake up.

Wednesday or Friday: meeting up with a friend while her kids are in school. Her turn to buy coffee so that will be a bonus

Weekend: DH’s mountain bike comes in. If it not raining (rain is in the forecast), he will go for a ride or two. Also planning to decorate for Christmas.

Otherwise, lots of walks, time at the park, chores, finished Christmas shopping/C’s bday shopping today, trying out new recipes in the instant Pot!

I'm here, but I'm pretty much tired of life right now so I don't have much to say.

Today is the last day of my vacation and apparently H and I have decided to spend it fighting, which is always fun. So, things are quiet and awkward and I just kind of want to crawl into a corner and do some crying.

Nothing else going on this week. Back to work tomorrow, no appointments scheduled, no plans for this weekend...

That's all I've got.

Wed - Dr appointment (maybe some progress this time??)
Sat - Friends Thanksgiving. I'm excited, we haven't been able to see some of these friends for a while! I just need to figure out what we're bringing! Oh, and a chiro appointment that morning.

Sorry for a crappy end to your vacation, katespade! Praying for your colleague, ewall! And HoneySpider I am so excited about your good ultrasound!

I am taking a professional certification exam on Friday and I'm freaking out. The study resources are a study guide and four different books, two of which are more than 500 pages. I have taken two prep courses but have not read nearly all of the 1,500 pages of reading, so i'm feeling unprepared. I took Thursday off for some studying, and I'm also staying at a hotel in the city the night before to make sure I get uninterrupted sleep (and bonus, get to go to dinner with my brother and SIL!).

Once this is over, I feel like I will have time for life again!

I'm sick.  I stared throwing up before bed and continued in the middle of the night. I feel awful so I'm going to try and parent from the couch as much as possible today.


T- Today we are getting a new upright freezer delivered! My mom got it for us for Christmas on a Black Friday special. So excited!

Sa - Nieces birthday in the afternoon, Sesame Street Live that evening.

bk1, feel better soon! H and I had that last weekend and it was awful, though thankfully short-lived.

We have a regular week here, which I'm actually grateful for. G and B both do better on a routine.

We were all sick last week and then better for like 2 days before round 2 of sickness came. We all have a cough now and mine has progressed to bronchitis. I can't take any good meds because I'm still nursing. It's supposed to be pretty nice so I'm hoping to open up the windows and air out the house!

If the week goes well, I'm hoping to take the kids to an Evening with Santa that my school is hosting on Friday. It will be B's 4th time attending, and I'd really like G to come too. It starts pretty close to bedtime though and G usually is a mess after not napping well at daycare. We'll see!

I'm still getting over a cold I've had for a week and now C has it too ugh. Wed- Fri I work. Saturday we're having a Christmas play date and party with some friends.

BUSY WEEK again...work just has been slammed lately. It's crazy. Lil man had a feveer last night that disappeared this morning. I hope he's on the mend. We've all been dealing with sinus crud...hoping we're all on the upswing.

So, my Aunt and Uncle came up to me at Thanksgiving...out of the blue...to tell me they had some jewelry of my Grandmother's for the last 10 years since she passed away. They THINK one of the strands of pearls is natural (verses cultured). They know I was robbed of mine (the one my Grandmother and Great Aunt BUILT for me) when we were broken into at our old house in the bad neighborhood. I'm about to schedule an appointment with an appraiser this week so see if one of the 4 strands I'm holding onto is the real deal. I'm pretty sure I'd ugly cry if that's the case. Hoping that I have some good news this week on that front....FX.

Busy this week too--working and doctor appointments. I really enjoyed my weekend with family and sleeping. I fell asleep early in E's bed 3 nights out of the past 5, ha.

Started my injections for IVF, so yay. I have monitoring appointments Thursday and Saturday, maybe Sunday. Egg retrieval will be sometime next week.

I also have some big assignments to do for school that I've been in denial about. Two due next week, 2 due the week after.

Ugh. Yeah I'm only able to take Advil due to some meds I take. It stinks.

My BFF just had her gall bladder out this morning. She was having some issues with breathing and pain, so she's stuck in the hospital overnight tonight too. I don't know what that surgery is like but I imagine it's probably similar or worse compared to my appendectomy, and that recovery wasn't fun (I'm also a huge wimp). I really want to send her something but I don't know what! I wish I could go see her but she's 4 hours away

I'm feeling like myself for the most part today. Not really hungry, but otherwise feel good. Thanks for asking MrsMB I really hope the pearls are natural. Keeping my FX for you!!




Back before I had G I use to be a big couponer. I still have been doing it some - just not to the same degree.

Well my mom get me started into it again. I've been collecting items for a local Santa for Seniors program. I've been using all my best coupons to collect as much as I can for as little out of pocket as possible. 

So far I've collected:
6 standard bed pillows
1 zip up sweatshirt
3 pairs of slipper socks
27 pairs of men's socks
18 pairs of women's socks
4 pairs of gloves

all for $7.03 out of pocket

My goal is to spend no more then $20 out of pocket and see how much I can get. It feels so good to collect and donate as much as I can. I'm really enjoying the "game" of it all. 


I feel like HoneySpider would appreciate this. I know you like to do the CVS shopping!

Dang bk1 that is awesome! I have been off my couponing game, just haven't had the time to really get the good deals. I'm kinf of ticked at CVS right now because for the last few months, it seems like anytime I shop there, there is some sort of problem.....a coupon (usually theirs) won't work, prices scan wrong, etc and the workers, including the managers, never seem to know how to fix it. I've even tried shopping at different stores in the area and I always have an issue. It's not worth it to me if I have to spend an extra 15 minutes checking out.
