I wonder if they're firing my co-worker today. They had me go to our satellite office today saying that they needed someone to cover the front desk. They clearly do not. There are a ton of people here. My boss has been hinting that she might be making some changes with her role.
katespade- prayers the dogs adjust and you get more sleep soon!
estrellita- I am glad you’re DH is coming home. It sounds like it very well could be the flu and A doesn’t need to be exposed if at all possible. Hope you feels better soon and can enjoy your bday!
HoneySpider- super exciting! Congratulations! I hope your a/s goes well too!
MrsMB- hope your new training plan goes well! You are amazing!
Blue Moon- your weekend sounds wonderful! Enjoy- you more than deserve it!!
Normal week here! We have rain in the forecast, which means it will either rain or be nice/normal weather. Not sure what we will do if it rains.
I had an ultrasound done 2.5 weeks ago. It was in lieu of a baseline mammogram, which couldn’t be done because I am nursing (and can’t be done for 6 months post weaning). Test was ordered last May and I finally got around to doing it. They charged me a $150 copay, saying it was diagnostic (which I disputed and explained to both the imaging center and the office staff at my doctors). Both agreed it was a paperwork issue and test should be preventative and I should be reimbursed.
Call again today and have talked to so many different people and they keep claiming you can’t have a screening ultrasound...in which I defend that it wasn’t diagnostic because what they were looking for was the same as a mammogram. And, my doctor ordered the mammogram so clearly no medical reason not to have it done. Google says it can be done.
Anyways, my doctor finally got the results so I am waiting for him to call, hopefully any minute. Hoping he can help dispute this...he ordered a test that needed to be done but “can’t” be done for almost 2 years since the order date (unless I wean earlier).
In better news, we did our usual groceries/coffee/bagels and walked to the park!
Bowser-dog has a broken molar with pulp exposure, so he has to go in for a cleaning and extraction on Friday. He's not in any pain right now, but the vet says the pulp exposure is pretty significant so it's only a matter of time before it gets infected and/or painful. Poor guy. I'm stressing myself out and so worried that he's going to have a bad reaction to the anesthesia or something, because he's old and I don't want anything to happen to him and I don't know what I would do if something did. All I want to do is snuggle with him forever and have his tooth magically get better so we don't have to put him through a procedure.
luv2rn4fun you can definitely have screening US! I've had them! That is crazy talk and they are giving you the runaround.
That’s what my doctor said too. I called the imaging center back and got the same runaround. It’s craziness! Like, what exactly were you trying to diagnose with a baseline ultrasound!?! Or, how could you do a diagnostic procedure when my doctor ordered a preventative test!?!
I spent hours talking/calling the imaging center, my doctor, and insurance and didn’t get anywhere. The record should finally post in their internal department tomorrow and hopefully the claim sent to my insurance. Then I can fight it from there.
H is searching for a new job, his commute of almost 4 hours each day is horrible. He spoke with a recruiter yesterday so hopefully something good comes out of it!

Thanks, everyone!
It's a 3 bed/3.5 bath townhouse, 3 levels with a fully done basement that includes an office space for me. DH can still take public transportation to work which wasn't the case at all of the properties we looked at, so that's a big plus (we only have one car plus the stress of traffic/cost of parking in the city is miserable). House is completely upgraded, we really don't have to do anything to move in which really takes a lot of stress away.
We've looked at a wide variety of properties and at this price point there is nothing that compares. We still can't believe we got it!
I don't want to share the info here but will post a link on our FB group
So far so good. He worked all last week and will get his first paycheck this Friday. He is working 7:30-3:30 M- F and drives 1 hr each way. I get up to see him in the morning and then have been getting a little time to myself before the girls wake up. Plus he is getting home before dinner which is awesome. Not sure if this will be his permanent schedule since he was told something of possible 4 10s a week but either way we are both loving it for now.
He will be sent to NY for 2 weeks in April. It's the first time I will be soloing parenting both girls and for that long. I plan to ask MIL to help some but her and FIL will be on vacation for the first half of DH's trip so we'll see. The training is completely expected (he has been to this training facility before) and he will continue to do trips like this probably a couple times a year every year.
I'm just so glad he is happy. For now he is still doing training courses so he is stuck in the office but they are hoping to get him cleared to work in the field next week. He will be on rotating on call weekends once he is cleared for field work.

So happy for you guys bk1! That schedule is what DH had prior to this job (with a similar commute) and it was awesome! I hope it continues to go well and I hope both sets of parents step up to help while he’s away! That’s a long time tosolo parent but I am sure you will find your groove and get through it just fine!
Lots of work this week. 2 shifts in a row, then a night on call, then another shift. Then E has a dentist appointment on Friday at 10 am (shoot me, that's a horrible time when you've been up all night).
Starting my next FET cycle now. I did make an appointment to start acupuncture next week MrsMB. So I'm kind of excited about that.

H and I are going to have a serious conversation about moving this weekend. He has had a few job offers, many offer relocation and we think it’s time for him to except one. He loves his boss here but the physical work and change of weather are taking a toll on his back.
pooh8402 I’m so excited for you!!! I’ve heard so many positive stories for people who used it in conjunction with IVF procedures.
How is it? Any tips or things I need to know? What do you wear?
I'm also going to talk to them about my sinus issues and insomnia.
If you have ever meditated, try some of those techniques while relaxing through the procedure. I have gotten to where I nap with the needles in. So relaxing!!!
They can definitely pick points to help with sinuses and sleep. I’ve always found it to be a big help with my sinuses.
Drink ALLTHEWATER after the appointment.
Wear loose clothing. They may want to put needles on the abdomen and or ankles and such. Nothing restrictive. I used to love wearing long yoga pants in particular.
Some say light exercise is ok afterwards. Some say nothing at all....I’d ask just in case. I do yoga on the days I have it to keep things light.
