pooh8402 I’m so excited for you!!! I’ve heard so many positive stories for people who used it in conjunction with IVF procedures.
How is it? Any tips or things I need to know? What do you wear?
I'm also going to talk to them about my sinus issues and insomnia.
I know I don't post here but I did acupuncture recently as DD was breech so did acu+moxi (which worked to flip her).
Anyways wear short sleeve shirt and pants you can roll up to your knees. I'm not sure if they'll put any needles on your neck as they didn't for me. I had needles in my ankle, knee, elbow, arm, hand, and ears. You feel the poke but it doesn't hurt. Once inserted I laid there for 20 minutes with music and lights low.
I always heard about people doing it for fertility treatments. I think some have even done it during a transfer.
How do you go about finding an acupuncturist for fertility? Would any acupuncturist be able to help, or do you need to find one who specializes in it?
I searched for one that specialized in it (along with Chinese herbs). I imagine you can inquire if it’s something they treat, but I get the impression a lot of them can.
I saw a noticeable difference in my charting....just FYI.
My acupuncturist was actually the first person I told I was pregnant with my first they had cried with me....laughed with me.....etc...all throughout my journey. I tested the same day as my bi-weekly appointment so I told them first The receptionist actually gave me a hug

My (ex) step-sister is an acupuncturist, and I'm thinking I might reach out to see if that's something she does. I haven't had great success with acupuncture in the past, but it's been a few years since the last time I tried it (for non-fertility reasons) so I'm willing to give it another shot. If she doesn't, she may be able to recommend someone who specializes in it.

H asked me when he got home tonight if there was anything I wanted for my birthday. Glad he put any thought into it this year. Sigh. I keep trying to remind myself he really did an amazing job last year surprising me for my 30th. I'm not expecting (or really wanting) anything like that again but it would be nice if he seemed to care at all this year. Oh well I guess.
My mom took the girls so DH and I got to go out for dinner. Dinner took longer because they brought out the wrong food, cooked mine wrong, and left parts off that had to be fixed. It was a giant mess that would normally irritate me but I didn't mind at all because it was kid free and taking a little longer worked in our favor. Ultimately it was a tasty meal. Plus we used a gift card that I had previously lost and DH found a couple weeks ago. It was only 3 years old. Lol.
DH is the worst at remembering dates. I swear - he was filling out paper work last week for new job stuff and was texting me asking dates. He got my birthday right but missed the days of both of the girl's birthdays (had month and year right) and missed the month and YEAR we were married but had the day right. Seriously dude?

Thanks! H remembers dates just fine, he just procrastinates (I can't blame him, I do too). I'd say it's a guy thing (my dad mixed up E's birthday when they were here but to be fair the date he thought was his due date, lol) but my mom forgets sometimes too. She gets my and my sister's birth years mixed up.. but they are 78 and 87 so I can see why!
Anyone have a tattoo on the top of their foot? If so, how awful was it? Is it really as bad as people say it is?
I went to see my tattoo artist yesterday for a consult, and he thinks the design I want would look best on the top of my foot. I’ve always said I don’t want feet or ribs because ouch but I also recognize that he’s right about this one, so now I have to decide between abandoning the design or sitting through the misery. lol.
I am embarrassed by how proud I am for cooking dinner tonight. My normal dinners are like three or four ingredients max, and tonight's had 11! (Technically it wasn't very complicated since it was a free box from Hello Fresh, but I diced, chopped, minced, etc., and felt like a chef!) I am so lazy in the kitchen.
It was yummy but I can't justify the cost, and it doesn't save a whole lot of time since I can get ingredients delivered to my door through online grocery shopping. But it was nice not to have to figure out what we want to eat, find a recipe, etc.
krystee We get Home Chef once or twice a month. We tried Hello Fresh and Blue Apron as well but preferred the flavors, cook time, and portions better on Home Chef.
Sure, it's a terrible value. But on the other hand we eat a full meal at home with multiple ingredients I wouldn't otherwise buy. It preplans the week and I'm forced to make more than just pasta. We have loved a few recipes so much we've recreated them without the box.

Yes! I was like, "We're eating vegetables I didn't steam in a microwave! This is so exciting!" Funnily enough, it was a pasta dish. But the next dish is pulled pork tacos, yum!

krystee I’ve tried blue apron and hello fresh because I received “free” boxes. We liked them but couldn’t justify the prices. I like that everything was recipe ready though.

We are supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow today. Luckily I’m off so I can hopefully get some housework done. I bought the Baby Foot foot mask so I may do that today too.
H is waiting to hear if he has to work today. I’m hoping he doesn’t. I rather have him have a snow day so we can spend the day together.
Surprise work closure due to high winds. Yayayayaya.
Trying to be productive with my day at home. Cleaning, dishes, laundry.
Jealous! Although to be honest, I'm not the most productive worker today. I'm traveling all next week for a meeting (8 am to 8 pm each day) so I'm focused on getting my personal stuff done today
H just texted and said he wants to book me a massage. I think my breakdown yesterday must have made him realize what I actually need/want right now. It's the first time he's ever offered to do something like this without me mentioning it and hinting at it forever. Not sure when we'll get it scheduled but I'm already looking forward to finally getting just a little bit of time by myself!
1: Someone at Target just ran over my ankle with their automatic cart. They just kept going and tossed an apology over their shoulder. For all they knew my foot could have been broken. Wtf?! I'm fine, just sore, but overly annoyed at their lack of concern.
2: I just tried the new Starbucks drink. Hazelnut Mocha Macchiato something or other. It is so overly sweet. It tastes like 4x sweeter than their normal sweet drinks, even after stirring it up and letting ice melt. Not sure if it's the drink or me (I mostly cut out sugar a few weeks ago and have been drinking unsweetened coffee lately).
pooh8402 Three of my friends all had babies on the 28th! None of them were even due this week. So crazy.

We have power! But woke up to no water. Our landlord turned the breaker off when he hooked up the generator to the heat and for our fridge. So H and I are at the diner getting breakfast. It was nice last night. Dinner by candlelight, no electronics, just us.
Our power went out Friday morning because of the winds...we woke up Sat morning and it was still out and no idea when it was coming back so we decided to come visit my parents for the weekend. Luckily we didn't have anything specific planned and it sounds like power is probably back on in our neighborhood now so we can head home today. The break was kind of nice though.
MrsMB I was at our new house Fri morning for the inspection and noticed one of my neighbor's cars in the lot had a Roll Tide license plate frame.

DH decided that the most important task in the house was to deep clean the rarely used basement and tighten the bolts on his squat rack. Never mind the 2 bathrooms that need cleaned and the dust on every surface throughout the house. After some silent treatment and not so subtle hints, he at least cleaned the pollen and dust off the plant shelf. My rage has died down slightly.
