DH got the job he wanted!!! He got the offer officially Saturday then the phone call last night. He signed the paperwork last night and emailed them back to her this morning.
Since I’m one of 2 full time employees, I’m giving my job notice that I’m leaving in 4 weeks. I’m excited but sad all at the same time.
Yay!! Congratulations to you and your DH wineandcheese!! So happy for you guys! Wishing you the best of luck as you move and transition to life and new jobs in FL!
Today: bagels/coffee/groceries, maybe a run/time at the park, laundry Tomorrow: Disneyland in the morning with my step mom Wednesday: preschool, run Friday: preschool, run, chores Saturday: the water company is putting on a fun festival so we might go to that. Also, one of my good friends is moving to the East Coast so she is having a farewell party...it starts at 6 and isn’t exactly close but I am going to try to go for a couple hours once I get L to bed.
I also need to work on finding a doctor and getting my thyroid figured out. I had two referrals; one isn’t in our network and the other isn’t accepting new patients. I emailed my old RE and asked if she had anyone she would recommend so hopefully she responds.
As I am typing this I hear L coughing on the monitor 🙁. I hope he’s not getting sick. He also threw up before bed last night (just a little and I summed it up to him eating too much).
Normal week here. Off today, work tues-sat. Hubs works all week, he hopefully will pick up some overtime this week or next!
Hopefully finishing the process of H’a life insurance. What a long process!
I’m starting a huge healthy lifestyle food change today, and a new exercise plan! I was trying on my clothes a bit this past week and I didn’t fit into anything. So I need a good kick in the ass! I’m excited for what this week will bring
This weekend we're supposed to do a murder mystery party at a friend's but she asked if another weekend still worked for us so I'm not 100% sure. Sun (or maybe Sat if the party doesn't happen) we're doing something with my parents. Possibly the zoo or something along those lines!
I have such a busy week, I'm already overwhelmed. But there's a lot of fun events that I'm looking forward to!
Tomorrow G turns 1! To celebrate, I took the day off work and I'm taking him and B to the zoo. H couldn't take the day off, so my mom will drive down to come with us. I didn't get to see her yesterday so it will be nice to spend the day together tomorrow. We'll give her the Mother's Day gifts we picked out and spend the afternoon at the zoo. G will get a quick cupcake tomorrow night and I got one toy for him to open in advance of his big party this weekend. I can't believe a whole year has gone by.
I have to spend the rest of the weeknights running around getting things ready for the big birthday party we are having Saturday. I need to do a large grocery order, finish a few of my Pinterest decoration projects, get G's outfit ready and get him a haircut, and just generally keep up with work and everything else. H HAS to finish our bathroom so he'll spend all after work time on that. Our pool pump also broke, so we had a huge unexpected expense and now a chunk of time spent to handle that.
Friday night I stupidly agreed (back in September) to chaperone the pre-prom events for my school. I really need to spend Friday night cooking food for the party, but alas I already said I'd chaperone. I'm going to bring B with me so hopefully H can get more things done at home with only one child to look after. Then I'll be up super late Friday trying to get everything done after we get home.
Saturday will be the party, and then Sunday I have to go to SIL's shower 2 hours away. At some point I need to get one more thing for her gift and wrap all the presents.
Nothing exciting here. I had a stressful day at work yesterday. My patient was very sick and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Everything turned out okay, mom and baby were fine, but it was a stressful day for me and her OB.
I don't have anything exciting going on this week. I don't actually think I have anything on the calendar at all.
I do need to try and set up an appointment to have someone come out and give us a quote for central air. I'm excited about the possibility of not needing to rely on window AC units anymore.
We also ordered a Roomba this weekend, now that the front portion of the house is finally put back together (minus crown molding, which doesn't impact a vacuum. lol). I'm hoping it shows up this week, but since it hasn't shipped yet I'm thinking it's more likely to show up next week instead.
Pretty quiet week. I'm getting my hair done on Thursday. Nothing exciting, just roots and a trim.
We have my nephew's birthday dinner on Saturday.
I really need to get going on getting HVAC quotes. Ours still works, but we want to change some things when we replace it. I want to have a plan in place, so we're not stuck just doing the quick fix.
wineandcheese, congrats to your H! How far of a move is the new location from where you currently are? suzv, jealous of your work day! We don't have any of those ever. katespade, I keep trying to talk H into a Roomba. So much dog hair over here!
10 more work wake ups til Summer!! WooHoo!
My TSH levels are borderline (doesn't surprise me really, given my mom's and grandma's history), but RE doesn't want to do anything but wait and watch for now. Need to repeat bloodwork in a week and again in another month and a half or so.
Ugh. ((Hugs)) bk1. Not only does that suck but the timing is horrible with your DH being gone. I hope you are able to get it fixed quickly, it doesn’t cost too much, and that these next 5 days go very fast for you.
We had this nice light rain this morning. My mom and I have always claimed we do better shopping in the rain. Just happens I was out with the girls to buy birthday presents for a kids party this weekend and for my mom since today is her birthday. I'm so happy with what we found! Love the good luck rain!
DH left Sunday morning for his trip. I took the girls to my BIL and SIL's house for a cookout that afternoon. I was kinda blah about going without DH, but SIL surprised me with a basket of goodies as an early birthday present. It really meant a lot and was such a sweet surprise. It was filled with soaps, bath fizzies, lotions, etc.
My grandma was released from the nursing home last Friday. I'm still anxious about her being home but so far so good. She is actually walking better now then she was before she went into the hospital/nursing home. All the physical therapy sure makes a difference. Now my mom is back to looking at houses for them to move in together. I still don't know what will come of it. I am super looking forward to going out to eat tonight with them for my mom's birthday.

Thank you I'm so glad this is the last planned trip! I'm sure he will go back for more training eventually but that's okay. My dishwasher is still under warranty so I need to find and dig out the paperwork so I can call to see what can be done. Silver linings!
We are in our home town for 12 days. I’m exhausted and I need a break but this holidays won’t be much of one. Lol
We are going camping fri-Sunday, visiting a friend on Sunday afternoon, visiting with family Monday (holiday here), then me and my mom are going away fri-sun. Then I start back at work mon. 😳
H is really sick today. Ugh. He has a fever and stomach stuff. He thinks it's from the Chipotle he had yesterday... So not ordering that today like I was planning, lol. He's so dramatic when he's sick though. I got up to pump this morning and he was laying on the couch (where he slept last night) and he was just laying there moaning. Like, I'm sorry you feel like crap, but come on. Lol. Hopefully he feels better after resting today!

((Hugs)) estrellita. Sounds like flu or some other GI virus vs food poisoning (I don’t think you get a fever and aches with food poisoning but I could be wrong?). Hope your DH feels better soon.
I just spent $60 on ziplock space saver bags, that was with coupons from BB&B. These things better work! I may of had an impulse buy and bought a poop emoji Bluetooth speaker. I thought it was funny and I needed to replace the Bluetooth speaker that broke 5 months ago. Plus it was on $11 after a coupon.
Sunday we are going to a fire convention and stopping at Chocolate World at Hershey Park. AF started today so I plan on buying all the chocolate. I’m extremely excited lol.
