What’s everyone up to this week? Any fun plans for the holiday weekend? Randoms, AWs, vents, etc

Today- bagels/coffee/grocery store, might go to a park on the way home if there’s time (only getting produce at the first stop, meat at another store). Then my church mentor friend from old city is coming to visit! We are all pretty excited, C just loves her!

Weds- preschool, doctors appointment for my physical

Thursday- CA Adventure/Disneyland

Friday- preschool (chapel and parade day)

Sat- 2 year bday party for DH’s BFF’s youngest son

Sun/Mon- hoping to convince DH to do a bbq at the lake or something fun

I need to get back into running. Maybe tomorrow, Friday, Sat/Sun...not really sure- it’s a pretty busy week!

Happy Monday ladies!

Normal week here, hubs works his usual and I work tues-sat. We just found out that H gets a bonus style of pay in June. He gets half of his holiday pay (the other half in December) and an education bonus. I’m super pumped about this! Man, I love his job!

We have decided to halt house hunting and live where we are for 6 more months then re look. So, I decided to unpack a few boxes (when I thought we were moving back in September ha). We bought a kitchen table yesterday, it’s so beautiful. I can’t wait for it to be delivered on Friday. Got it on an awesome deal! Wooo! Regular 1200, and it was on sale for 340!!!

It’s week 2 for my clean eating. Last week went really, really well. I already feel a difference in my body. I didn’t focus on exercise as much, but this week my friend and I start going back to our yoga studio! Super excited to now incorporate fitness back to my routine

Yesterday we were so busy! DH got a bunch of chores done around the house for me. He took G to Lowe's to buy what he needed then came home and installed blinds on our back patio door, a screen so I can now leave the door open, cleaned the garage some, planted some stuff in the front and planted a tree in the back. I am so happy with everything that got done!

T - grocery shopping
W - walk in the wild with library group
Th - My birthday! Maybe lunch with my mom and grandma. Might do the park in the evening if DH is off work early. 

Sunday - going to the ILs for dinner

I really want to get my hair done, but I want to add color so it will be 3+ hours. Not sure if MIL will babysit so if she isn't up for it I might try and get my mom to watch the girls next week so I can get it done.

suzv, I'm so jealous! We still have 19 days left here.

We are finally all in the correct locations this morning after a full week of sickness. This week H is working on getting the new pool pump in and hopefully getting the pool swim-ready by this weekend! He was *almost* finished with the bathroom reno yesterday when something went wrong with the electrical wiring. FIL came to try to help and the two of them weren't able to get the electric in the bathroom working so now we're stalled there.

I have a few after school work commitments, and most of the week outside of work will be spent getting things together for G's birthday party on Saturday. We ended up rescheduling from last Saturday until this Saturday because of sickness, weather, life lol. The weather will be much better this weekend so I'm looking forward to a nice BBQ now!

Our new AC is being installed this week. Also have the handyman coming to finish some odds and ends around the house.

Two of the engineers that I work with will be local tomorrow so looking forward to seeing them. We will probably do lunch.

Weekend plans include grilling out and making a strawberry pie.

Our 8th wedding anniversary is tomorrow. Not sure if we will do anything to celebrate. We probably should, but also...it's an expensive week with the new AC so we'll just say our marriage is happier when we are cool and comfortable!

H is still sick but we did still keep our weekend plans, he just took it easy and didn't eat much. He went into the doctor this morning and they think it might have been salmonella. Yikes. We're kinda thinking it's from the Chipotle but who knows. That's the most likely suspect as I'm not sure what else would have done it. Plus it has to be something I didn't also eat because I've felt just fine. I just hope he starts getting back to normal soon!

No plans this week. Might go to ILs this weekend because H needs to do his brakes and I need my oil changed badly!

ewall happy anniversary!

Nothing really going on this week. I work my regular schedule. Lots of packing this week.

Friday I’m hoping H will be home early from work so we can have a few hours together. H leaves Saturday afternoon to head to Florida since he starts his new job next week. The next few weeks are going to suck. I’ll try not to be a debbie downer I swear! I always have a hard time when he’s away but have so much to do that hopefully it will go by fast.

Sunday I may go to the winery just to get out of the house. I have yet to try their new menu items.

wineandcheese Holy cow those 2 weeks flew by. I can’t believe he’s already going to be starting his new job! How exciting. Do you guys have a place lined up down there to live?

My mom is here so we ran a few errands this morning and she will help with DS today so I can get some work done. Tomorrow DH is off and then he might be off one day later in the week too to compensate for working all weekend. We're trying to get stuff done around the house when he's off, we're making progress but it also feels neverending!

Rest of the week is pretty normal. My parents are both coming back next weekend and we're going to smoke a turkey, relax, and maybe do some recliner shopping to hopefully catch some MDW sales.

Typical day today. Tomorrow my H has a work day trip, C has preschool prep class and my mom is coming to play with C in the afternoon to give me a break since I will have her the entire day.

Wednesday my inlaws are babysitting while I run to Costco and pack for our trip. Thursday is our 10th anniversary and we're going to Columbus for a couple days to celebrate. I can't wait. We haven't had more than 1 night away in 4 years. We're going to see Infinity War before driving down, and have dinner plans by the river. Friday we are going to the Columbus zoo, and Saturday we're checking out the city and meeting up with my SIL/BIL who live down there.

Sunday we have my FIL/SMILs annual Memorial Day party. Monday my MIL/SFIL are coming here for burgers and to hang out.

So busy week, but I'm looking forward to it!

travelbug we don’t have a place lined up yet. We are still waiting on the relocation company to call. I’m going to call a realtor this week and H will look at places after work next week.

We might go to the kids museum one day this week. Friday my mom and I are going to see extended family. H is staying home to work on the house. I'm trying to keep my expectations low on what he'll get done, so hopefully I'll be presently surprised.

Hugs suzv, I would have had similar thoughts. It's a scary world nowadays. Last lockdown we had was due to what teachers thought was a drug bust (there was a drug search period before we went into lockdown) and one of my 8th graders immediately started bawling. Then after 1.5 hours in lockdown, we learned there was a lookalike gun in a backpack.

I stayed home today with a sick A. Just a fever but acting fine.
Thursday is my students' graduation. Hard to believe another group is graduating and summer is almost here!

This weekend is a long one, and we're traveling up to MILs.

This weekend was out long weekend and it was so full and exhausting but I loved it.

We went camping Friday morning to Sunday morning, and then spent yesterday evening and then again today at the beach with my ils. The waters defiantly still too cold but it was so nice to lay on the sand and be able to read a book for a little while and listen to the waves on the sand.

And for this week it will be busy as well.
Tues: visiting my great grandma, going to a thrift store, and dinner with a friend. (We have a sitter so I’m excited to be out by ourselves)
Wed- not sure what we will do yet but most likely go to a park/play ground for a few hours. Then I have plans with a former coworker.
Thursday- dh is going fishing and I am going to spend some time with a friend.

Fri-sun- me and my mom are going on a woman’s only outdoor retreat. We are both very excited.

H wound up taking a half day yesterday and was super productive. He got the electric fixed, mowed the lawn, got the pool pump installed and dumped all the chemicals into the pool water. It looked almost clear this morning!

Also chipped a tooth boo. I’m checking out a new dentist.

katespade it’s not normal that my dentist hasn’t popped his head in at any of my appointments in over two years, right? It’s just been the hygienist. I’m right to look for a new one, yes?

MrsMB - Yeah, I would definitely be concerned about that. I mean, I’m sure he’s looking at your xrays (assuming they’re taking them), but there are plenty of things he should be checking that can’t be seen on xrays. If you’re getting six month cleanings, he should really be doing an exam at every other appointment.

Do you know if they’re billing you for annual exams, or only cleanings?

I'd have to check. I'm not sure. But I make my appointments every 6 months like I've done for years. Would they ASSUME I just wanted a cleaning and not an exam? Surely, not. Right? Could this be my fault somehow?

Regardless, I found someone who is reputable that can get me in next week (only because I have a chipped tooth). Normally, they wouldn't be able to fit in a new patient so soon.
