I whipped out good old Bite Violet in celebration of summer today.
And am reminded how much I love it. 
It doesn't exist anymore, right?

Does anybody have a good dupe?  Mine is a mini and it's not in great shape thanks to a warm car related incident.

I was cleaning out our hall closet today and stumbled across an old makeup bag in a purse I haven't used in maybe two years. It was full of all the lipsticks I've been hunting for lately and couldn't find in my stash! I feel like such an idiot for not looking in that purse earlier.

I always look at the dupes on Temptalia

wawa - Urban Decay’s Bittersweet is close. It’s a bit cooler (bluer maybe?) and matte. It’s funny because the lipgloss bittersweet is so not the same color. I haven’t had much luck finding something that I think is a true dupe. There’s a couple on Temptalia’s list I want to swatch.

Skincare question...my mom has quite a bit of redness in the center of her face, maybe even broken capillaries? Is there anything that helps that?

She should probably see a derm. This sounds like rosacea.

Oh cool, I might get the mandelic acid peel, I have a hyperpigmented spot of my cheek from them ripping off a piece of skin when they removed tape from my face after surgery. Vit C isn't doing the trick to get rid of it.

It looks like all matte, I always have to mix matte with other formulas.

Thanks for the rec! I've been looking for an alternative to the TO I've been using up. My face seems to love lactic acid It is unlikely that I will ever pay Sunday Riley prices.

My beloved Hourglass primer has to be given up. It irritated the shit out of my eyes all day today. Like, I was in a parade and yes, I was sweating, but I fully felt an irritation tear run down my face. It never used to irritate my eyes, but now it happens almost every time I've used it in the past month.

So, anytime have a favorite primer for normal to dry skin that makes makeup stay in place beautifully?

No, not yet. The color I think I need was OOS during the VIB sale when I bought (and ended up returning) $300 worth of concealers.

They also have something called "fleshpot"  it's an eye and cheek gloss.  Whatever the fuck that means.

I don't think ulta named it though, did they?  I assumed Flesh is an independent brand and it's just that Ulta is now carrying them.
