Last night I went to grab some milk from the freezer (I think my supply took a permanent hit from that stomach bug.. grrr). The top was open! Luckily it hadn't been that long and everything was still frozen but I yelled at H. He got all defensive and didn't seem to care much. I have a very small freezer stash that's dwindling quickly, I honestly would be devastated if I lost it! Then he was pouty the rest of the night.
Then A woke up. I calmed her for a bit and waited for H to come get her (he usually feeds her MOTN, he was asleep on the couch with the monitor on). He didn't get up so I did. Finally after I had fed her 5 feet away from him and she started fussing again when I laid her back down, THAT'S when he finally heard her. Took me forever to fall back asleep so I'm exhausted today. There's a reason he gets up with her! Send coffee!
estrellita, ugh I'd be so annoyed about the freezer too! Once my H casually left a bottle of BM in the diaper bag in the hot car and it spoiled. I was so annoyed. I also have a really hard time falling back asleep after MOTN wake ups so I get the exhaustion. Hope A starts sleeping better soon!
My kids are still snotty messes and B sounds like Darth Vader when she talks. But today is my last day of work before summer, so we'll make it!
H finally ordered the safety pool fence. He's going to install it Saturday and I'm very relieved. It was a huge expense, especially because we decided to fence the entire concrete patio surrounding the pool, but their safety is obviously worth it. The kids and I are going to spend the weekend at my parents so H can get it installed without interruption or distraction.
Also, we found out that the kids' daycare center is not closing after all. The new center we picked is actually buying the old center and opening it as a second location. Except, the old center is closing in two weeks and the staff hasn't been approached at working for the new center and we as parents haven't been approached to see if we'd like our children to remain. I'm very WTF at the whole thing now and am glad my kids will be home with me for the next 2.5 months while we see how it all pans out.
estrellita- ((Hugs)) and coffee! Sorry A didn’t sleep well (and you didn’t either) but am glad your BM is ok. I also don’t fall back asleep easily so I hear ya on being tired. L had been doing better but today he was up around 4:30 and has been going consistently since 5:20. It’s going to be a long day.
Blue Moon- yay for last day of school! Sorry the kiddos are still sick 🙁. Glad you are getting a fence...not sure how hyped the media coverage is but we live close to Bo.de Mi.ller. It really does just take a second and it’s impossible to keep your eye on two kids every second. We had a pool at our old house and our plan was to alarm the door that any kids could gain entry from (the garage was locked at the top of the door and there was a locker type lock on another fenced gate entry point (actually two gates).
ewall Are you snuggling a baby girl yet? pictures?
Yes! 8lbs 3 oz, 19 inches, full head of dark hair! She is perfect. Repeat c-section was uneventful, I think she was delivered at 1:39. We are just hanging around, enjoying snuggles Still finalizing name, will share pic later.

My cousin had her baby today too Of course my dad says not to share anything on FB yet.. *eye roll* (he took put upon himself to announce A's arrival before us.. luckily I shut that down FAST)
estrellita - We told my MIL about the baby after my appointment last weekend, and made it very clear to her that she had to keep it to herself. Today was the first day she had access to Facebook since we told her... and she immediately started posting lullabies and baby themed songs to my timeline and shared a picture of us on her page with the zipped lips emoji as the caption.
I sent her a message and was like, “Nooooooooo, MIL, this is not how you keep a secret!!!!!” 😂
I am terrified of our upcoming vacation. The past two days L has been up an hour early and also waking MOTN. I got home at 12a last night (Disneyland with my parents after I put the boys to bed)...he was up at 1a and then again at 4:45. Not sure what his deal is but I am exhausted (he had been sleeping pretty consistently 7:30/8-6ish). It’s going to be a long day!
katespade , one of my good friends is due the same week as you I believe. She made her mom promise to keep her mouth shut. Apparently her mom already make "grandma announcement" cards and mailed them out to friends. Are you going to find out the gender? She did the harmony test and just got results back yesterday.

Oh my gosh, that is 100% something my MIL would do. That's why we waited until after our first appointment to tell her. We aren't ready to announce yet, but at least if she does spill the beans we got through one appointment first. lol.
We're definitely going to find out gender! I actually have an appointment with a genetic specialist next week because of H's family history, and I'll have my NIPT blood draw done then.
katespade , my bff is due in October and recently found out she is having a boy. Her mom, and a bunch of her mom's friends, posted on her facebook wall with comments like "So so excited!!" with a ton of blue hearts, or pictures of cartoon baby boys. This was all before my friend had a chance to announce the news herself!
H and I have both agreed that there are only two people who will know when we're in the hospital - My mom and his dad. No one else will have any idea we're even there until after the baby is born, because we can't trust any of them to keep it off FB or to respect our wishes to leave us alone while we're at the hospital.

Ultrasound today measuring right on track and heard the heart rate at 144!!!! So relieved.
Then found out my car needed work that cost more than it was worth in order to be able to be safe to make my upcoming road trip.....so we had to buy a new car. Fun times.

My doctor confirmed this morning that I am scheduled for a RCS on July 18 if baby doesn't come by then. I'm still hoping for spontaneous labor so I can try for a VBAC but I'm surprisingly at peace with the possibility of a RCS. I think I'm just happy there is an end in sight.
