He stood up there, side by side with a man that directed an attack on America and what all over America. It’s bad enough he does it on Twitter, but it’s atrocious that he’d do it in a setting like this.
Of course, I expect nothing less, but I still can’t help filling up with toxic rage when I see it happening.
Fuck him. Fuck the GOP. And for good measure, fuck Bernie and third parties.
Putin says he wants to see "one single fact" about Russian interference and collusion in 2016. McFaul tweeted "Hey @putinrf , Mueller published many facts on Friday."
Putin says that Russia wants to work with the US on cyber security, and also that the US and Russia will establish a working group of business leaders.
This pisses me off so much and raises the hair on the back of my neck at the same time. I compile our intrusion attempt reports for work (I work for a well known company, but nothing that is remotely national security or technology related) and we've seen 400-700% increases in attempts on our network with ~85-95% of those originating from the Russian Federation. Colleagues in other industries but similar roles are saying the same. Stay the fuck out of our country, Russia.

If anyone wants to try to stomach listening to Trump blame the US for Russia's attacks. Then attacks the Mueller probe which indicted 12 Kremlin agents. :
I’m trying really hard to not get too defeated today, as I know it’s counterproductive. I just want to scream & throw things, like many of you, I’m sure. Deep breaths.
@ddale8 (Toronto Star's DC correspondent) has a running thread on the presser.
Putin gives Trump a soccer ball, saying "now the ball is in your court" (over the 2026 World Cup but also metaphorically). He says. "That will go to my son Barron. In fact, Melania, here you go." He tosses it off the stage.
45 is on about HRC's server's location again upon being asked who he believes, Putin or the IC, about Russian interference. Says Putin denies interfering and "sees no reason why it would be." Says it's a disgrace we can't get the 30k HRC emails and that in Russia they would not be lost so easily.
There aren’t any business leaders in Russia that aren’t Putin aligned oligarchs. So that working group is to cut American oligarchs in on the scam.
What a total embarrassment to the country. At least TRY not to look like a weak little lapdog who takes the side of our enemy over our intelligence assessments.
That was insane. Even Fox news is being (gently) negative in their reporting on this.
I was listening to this as I was driving. Probably a bad move. What is Fox saying? Brennan was on MSNBC and said that it was as bad as he could have imagined.

I try to be calm and have a long view but right now I feel like I can barely breathe. WTAF are we headed towards?

Axios
More Key quotes from Trump: He said that the relationship between the U.S. and Russia “has never been worse than it is now. However, that changed as of about four hours ago.”
On that deteriorating relationship, Trump said: "I hold both countries responsible. I think the United States has been foolish... I think we've all been foolish. We're all to blame." He called Putin a "good competitor," not an adversary. "I beat Hillary Clinton easily... We won that race. And it's a shame that there can even be a little bit of a cloud over it." "There was no collusion. I didn't know the president. There was nobody to collude with." Trump called the Russia investigation "a disaster for our country." When asked whether he believes the U.S. intelligence community or Putin over what happened in 2016, Trump said "I don't see any reason why it would be [Russia], I really want to see the server." He added, "President Putin was extremely strong in his denial." And Putin:
“The Russian state has never interfered and is not going to interfere into internal American affairs including [the] election process.” "Could you name a single fact that would definitely prove the collusion? This is utter nonsense. Just like the President recently mentioned." However, Putin offered to interrogate the 12 Russians indicted by the Justice Department. Combatting the idea that Trump and Putin trust one another, Putin said, “You can trust no one.” When asked about reports that Russia has compromising material on Trump: "Now to the compromising material, I did hear this rumor. When Trump visited Moscow back then, I didn’t even know he was in Moscow.”

I missed most of the presser but had the tv on in the run-up. Did anyone ask about the reporter who was manhandled a few minutes before it started? Who was that, and what did his sign say and what's his status now? Anyone know? Did they not know cameras (international ones at that) were running? Why have I seen nothing about that on Twitter?

Nuclear weapons ban?? EDIT TO CLARIFY: The Nation told CNN's Betsy Klein in a statement that the man that was removed was communications director at the Institute for Public Accuracy, Sam Husseini, who received press credentials from The Nation.

It was bad enough that there’s actually a half dozen or so R senators tweeting about being disappointed. I mean, they are still Republican, so all of them are about as weak and pathetic of a condemnation as one could write and don’t contain any threats or action items or anything. But the fact that at least a few of them felt compelled to do something other than hide in their office suggests even they know this was HORRIBLE.
They will all go back to business as usual in five minutes so they can all go fuck themselves, of course.
LONDON — Prince Charles and Prince William refused to meet U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania on their visit to the U.K, according to the Sunday Times of London.
Queen Elizabeth II was left alone to receive the Trumps at Windsor Castle Friday. According to a “well-placed source” quoted by the Times, the absence of the two princes during Trump’s visit “was a snub,” and they “simply refused to attend.”
I am just still flabbergasted that this asshole met with Putin ALONE. What the hell? Who the fuck knows what he said. I am sure what our evidence agencies know is so much worse than what is in the Mueller indictment.
I'm wondering if Secret Service swabbed Putin or Trump's hands for poison or anything like that.
I saw a photo from the North Korea shitshow where one of Kim's security guards was wiping down the pen Kim was given to sign the agreement.
30 years from now, what are Trump fans going to say about this time? Pretend they didn’t support it? It feels like we are living in a alternate reality.

You just know Putin recorded the whole thing too. So you know, more kompromat.

I am sure SS patted Putin down for listening devices and I assume recording devices in the room. Am sure 45 made certain of it. He doesn't want recordings of pee tape discussions.
I take this thought back because I don't even know. 45 is so paranoid that he probably didn't want SS involved. Who the fuck knows. We're fucked.
I happened to catch the end of Andrea Mitchell. Analysts are anticipating an exodus of advisors who cannot align with our new foreign policy. One went so far as to say we are essentially seeing a reordering of alliances. A Republican controlled American government is a friend of Putin. That’s where we are now.
