I'm so tired of people being like, "Please President Trump, clarify what you said, I'm sure you didn't mean it that way!" Dumbasses, he meant it the damn way he said it. I know he is a crotchety old man and all but even in his own Trumpian verbal diarrhea way, he's quite clear in what he's saying. He's saying he likes Russia more the United States. Clear now, Newt?
Joni Ernst said she hopes he was tougher with Putin behind closed doors. WTF?!
“We need to be cautious in how we approach our dealings with Russia. I hope that President Trump, today, delivered a strong message behind closed doors that Russia will continue to be punished for their illegal annexation of Ukraine in 2014, their abhorrent support for the murderous Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria and their aggressive actions in U.S. domestic policy. I am also hopeful President Trump discussed Russia’s role in the Balkans, as Iowa’s sister state, Kosovo, continues to be threatened by Russia’s hybrid warfare tactics in Serbia.”
So, other than the word soup from South Dakota, is anyone in any official position supporting what happened today? When even FoxNews is almost(?) completely aghast and against what happened, it should have people thinking twice. Yet, Trump has been so effectively gaslighting people, that they will somehow add FoxNews to the Fake News list...and add Putin to the truth-tellers list, since Trump speaks only the truth.
The number of people in my newsfeed continuing to stick their head in the sand and pretend like nothing is happening is sickening.
ETA: I had to go to Breitbart to find support. Saw Coulter and Ron Paul supporting him. Ron Paul even said he “won.” Coulter says media and politician’s response is just like with the Muslim Ban. I couldn’t stomach any more.
The tweeter is a rando but apparently MSNBC unearthed a Russian gun rights ad starring John Bolton. Yes, THAT John Bolton.
Ok, I am legit shocked by this.
Wouldn’t the interests of our nation’s security be further served by upholding the current moderate gun control in Russia? Like, why would we be deeming Russians good guys with guns who should have more?

Also, as Rachel Maddow pointed out last night that there isn't a gun rights movement in Russia because Putin would just not allow that. This entire "movement" was not real, but a front for something that would further Putin's interests.
Bolton and most of these people in these pictures are smart enough to have known this. (Scott Walker on the other hand.....) They knew this was a dirty operation.
I don’t watch the news lately. You guys are so a geat resource. Actually can i just skip to 2020 elections?
NO. You have to start with 2018. Have we learned nothing yet?
I was talking presidential. Obviously 2018 is huge but i don’t know how much worse it can get before it gets better. This is like a horrible sci-fi /action movie where the president betrays his country.

We kind of just ignore her.
I’ve never been nasty to you. Jesus. Ignore/block me if you don’t like me. Don’t act like a high school girl and make comments like that. Be an example, not on the same level, as your kids.
I am on vacation and so missed this in real time. I'm so angry. I knew he would be awful but he keeps exceeding my expectations for how awful he can be. The GOP is the party of Putin because they refuse to do anything about it. I'm terrified November can't come soon enough and can't possibly be enough (it can't) and we will lose all hope of recovery.
This is the part that I find truly baffling. I could see a small group of people at the top being blackmailed but what about all the up and comers who would *love* to make a name for themselves by calling this shit out?

fear. His approval rating is almost 90% among R's. They will not turn on him at this point. Some of the R's yesterday couldn't even put 45's name in their tweets they are so afraid. We have already moved past separating families. A bad press conference isn't going to be what lights up their asses.

I hate him. I want to move into his district so I can vote against him.
My high school classmate's husband ran in the Dem primary to run against Collins. He dropped out before the primary to support the person who was assumed to be the stronger Dem candidate, but I don't know if that's necessarily the case. Friend's husband is late 30s, 2 small kids, recent homeowner, veteran, put himself through law school, worked as an assistant DA, etc. Awesome resume. I'm so bummed he didn't get to go up against this clown.
