In my @related news, I'm so nauseous today and none of my usual is working. I'll probably give my nurse a call tomorrow to see if I can take the phenergan or zofran I already have.
G woke up in the middle of the night and started throwing up. Not 10 minutes after I got her cleaned up, her bed cleaned up and her laying back down the poor girl started crying because she threw up again. I asked DH to take off work today so he stayed with the girls while I went to jury duty. G threw up a couple more times while DH was watching her but she is over the worst of it and keeping down water and crackers now. Plus side DH and I got a couple of hours alone in the middle of the day since both girls napped at the same time!
Oh no to the poop but hooray for the squinter grover! Sorry about the nausea pooh8402, and hope G is better soon bk1.
Things are status quo here. Both kids have dentist appointments tomorrow. I’m curious to see what exactly a dentist appt consists of with my 14 month old who will most certainly try to bite the dentist. We have a pool play date Wednesday. Three of my friends also have 3 year olds and young one year olds (all 4 within 6 weeks of each other) so it’s always nice to be with all of them. All girls except G! No plans for the weekend.
I need to do a schedule tweak because I feel like I’m stuck home all day because someone is napping. Right now G prefers to sleep 9:45-11:15 ish and again 2:45-4 ish. B does “quiet time” from 1-3 and half the time she sleeps, but she always stays quietly in her room reading if not. I tried to do one midday nap with G but he was a screaming overtired disaster all morning and then slept 45 only minutes. I like having the time with each kid but I’m always going stir crazy and would LOVE them to nap at the same time of course.

A has a fever. Sigh. They can stop getting sick any time now! MIL is going to come over to help H watch her while he works from home. Her fever wasn't consistent at DC so the director told us to just keep an eye on it but it's been over their threshold since we got home so it's better if she stays home. I'm not sure if it's whatever quick bug E had or if she's teething or what. I've been saying for months now that she might be teething.. lol. I feel like she's going to be one of those kids that doesn't have teeth for a long time!
estrellita I hope y'all catch a break soon with th sickness!
DS1 has his second week of swim lessons this week. We get to watch the last 15 minutes on Friday and I'm excited to see what he's learned.
Also with DS1, I think we're finally going to have to give up the crib at 3.5. He's finally started climbing out and I'm not even fighting it. It will be a couple of weeks before we can go mattress shopping, but I can't believe we've made it this far with him in the crib.

C is still in his crib as well- glad to hear we aren’t the only ones! Planning to transition soon but he has yet to climb out. We have been VERY lucky! His sleep is so over once this ends 😂
We got our first-ever school supplies list, and I feel like they should have just sent one line saying, "Protect us from your little germ factories!" There are no crayons or pencil cases to be found...it is all "Extra large bottle of hand sanitizer," "five packs of Clorox (or similar) wipes," "three boxes of Kleenex."
Not the fun school supplies shopping I had in mind, but I don't blame them! Kids are gross.
luv2rn4fun You are not alone! I am so not looking forward to him being free! He climbed out the other day when he refused to nap and was so proud of himself. We had been thinking about it anyway, but had been putting it off as long as possible.
krystee That's a funny school list. Sounds like theyknow kids pretty well.
Am I completely crazy thinking A is trying to talk this young? She yells "dadada" at H a lot and also around the times she might be hungry she yells "bababa". It's so weird, lol. I keep telling myself it's just babbling but it seems so specific!
Well dd has somehow figured out how to get out of her sleep sack. Weird. She did it on Saturday night but I wasn’t sure if my mom was just going crazy. (I put her to bed in the sleep sack but my mom said it wasn’t on her when she got up.) But she did it again last night, Urg. The other night she wouldn’t sleep without it on, why is she taking it off? (I didn’t put it on because it was so hot out.)
Any tips on how to keep her room cooler? We have a fan on in her room 24 hrs a day, but her room is still so hot. She doesn’t want to fall asleep at night because of how hot it it.

C managed to get out of his sleep sack as well so I started putting it on inside out (some people do it backwards) and so far he would sleep with it on if it weren’t so hot out (he’s 3.5).
As for keeping her room cooler...we use blackout curtains, have upgraded our windows, use our all house fan when we can (if not a/c to cool it down). We have a ceiling fan on in both their rooms. L goes to bed with the door closed, we open it when it’s dark/we go to bed and then close it whenever he wakes up/we wake up MOTN, preferably after 4a so that it cools down. C sleeps with his window open...not ideal but it’s working to some degree. We also open windows and use the all house fan early in the morning so that we can cool down and close up the house the rest of the day.
Today it cooled to 69 degrees. It’s supposed to be mid/high 80s today so it will likely be 77 in their room at bedtime. It’s been about 82 lately though as it was only cooling to 73-75 upstairs.
MrsMB I hope she stays put! I really think he's just now climbing out because this is the last place he sleeps in a crib and is used to getting out of bed at my parents and my IL's house.

MrsMB- C is still going strong in his crib at 3.5 too (and he could totally climb out if he wanted to). He did climb out of the PNP once (used to have him stay in there while nursing L upstairs) and I told him it wasn’t safe/he could hurt himself...he hasn’t climbed out of either since (besides on vacation when we tried getting him to sleep in the PNP because he refused to sleep on the cot or in our bed). It’s definitely possible! I hope your L stays in her crib a little longer!! I think C just genuinely loves his crib and it’s his safe place.
luv2rn4fun- would putting it on inside out work though if she’s getting out the head hole? The sleep sack is still fully zipped up when she gets it off.

Bummer, probably not. Putting it on backwards might though. Worth a try (the back is higher up than the front so might be harder to get off). C just learned how to unzip so removing access to the zipper solved that problem.

I know I've asked this before.. but when did people stop using pull ups for their kids at night? I can't remember the last time E peed in his pull up overnight. I'm nervous to just do underwear because I don't want to deal with accidents or getting up MOTN to take him potty but then again it's likely he wouldn't have many accidents.. hmm.

My E is still in pull ups but he still wets them like half the time. He sleeps through pee most of the time. He's usually dry for naps though.
awick14, I called my nurse today and she said both zofran and phenergan are okay, so my H brought zofran to me at work. So much better. This nausea is so much worse than last time.

I would give it a try! We have never used pull ups, still using diapers for nap and bedtime. Maybe we should try pull ups because his diaper is almost always wet...it’s rare that he wakes up dry (sometimes for nap but never in the morning).

So apparently we're doing underwear tonight. H must have mentioned it to E and he completely flipped when we tried to get him to put a pull up on. I was hoping to wait until the weekend buuut guess not, lol. I made it clear to him though that if he has an accident, he's going back into a pull up. FX he stays dry! I really think he will, he's been dry every morning for quite a while now. I just hope we're not getting up MOTN with him too much!
I took G to her first movie today! She did amazingly well. She just sat on my lap the whole time. This was a matinee for kids so the perfect time to test it out. There is a town not far away that has a super small theater that is comfy, cheap, and often pretty empty. If they end up getting in Incredibles 2 I may take G to go see it. Plus, this was the first time I had been to the movies in probably 2 years. I missed it!
As some saw on Facebook DD fell yesterday and she scrapped her forehead and nose. She is acting normal this morning and hasn’t been touching her face so hopefully it continues to not bother her.
One more night shift and then I’m off for 4 days yay!
awick14, glad she's not bothered by it. A on the other hand has since fallen twice more on the same knee She got blood on my shirt from it at the park this morning, and then when running to meet H when he got home from work today, fell again and re-opened the scrape. Poor little girl!
