Today: Disneyland/Ca Adventure (really not sure yet...BFF is meeting us at DL but she won’t know a time til this morning...we had planned for CA Adventure but her kids want DL, which mine are fine with too)! Only going til about 1p and then home for naps, cook dinner, etc
Tomorrow: grocery shopping, run
Wednesday: run and probably park, getting ready for Thurs.
Thursday: I have our friends boys all day. Planning to run before they come. Back to school night for C.
Friday: run, chores, maybe park.
I bought some fabric this weekend to make a crib sheet for C, two pairs for shorts, and 4 shirts (all for the boys). I am almost done with the crib sheet (just need to sew the elastic) but my machine kept giving me issues yesterday (I had planned to finish that and at least one, enough not both, pair of shorts. So frustrating. Wish I knew what I was doing with the machine more so I wouldn’t spend so much time getting the bobbin threaded correctly.
Oh, and last week I ran 26.5 miles- haven’t done that in a long time (most miles run in a week all year so probably hasn’t happened since at least early 2016 but likely early 2014). Hoping to run close to 25 miles this week but we are much busier so we’ll see what happens!

Another busy week, my MIL is still here (leaves tomorrow) plus both boys have doctor's appts tomorrow and I have my pp checkup on Thursday. Otherwise just a ton of random stuff to catch up on/work to do. I really need to have a productive week after not getting a lot done last week.
No plans really this week. A friend is having a get together Sat but I'm not sure yet if we're going. We have been wanting to do stuff in our yard but that hasn't happened all summer.. lol. Someday we'll get it finished! Basically we wanted to pull out some bushes/trees growing by the house and put down new landscape fabric and mulch, then we'll put in new plants next summer. So we'll see what we decide!
Today: had my graduation appointment with my RE (sad, she's so awesome) and had blood drawn for NIPT. Running errands and planning to texture the walls in DH's office in preparation for painting.
Nice mileage, luv2rn4fun! I did my first PP run over the weekend on the treadmill.
Today was preschool orientation, tomorrow is a half day, Wednesday is the first full day. Maybe meeting up with a friend for lunch on Wednesday.
DD has her 2 month appt on Friday. Some family will be town on Saturday for a wedding so meeting up with them at some point.
Edited to add other big plans for the week: I've got the 3rd season of Veep on hold at the library, a new Kindle book, and plans to make eggplant rollatini.
This morning we went to the park with friends and stopped by the party store to order balloons for this weekend. H was sad to go back to work after vacation this morning, so I'm trying to get together a nicer dinner to make him less blue.
Tuesday is errands and back to school shopping.
Wednesday my parents are taking B to see Frozen on Broadway for her birthday present! She has never been to NYC and I'm a little sad that I won't be there to witness her excitement. We'll leave early in the morning and G and I will spend the day at my parents house (~15 minutes outside of NYC). We will all leave at bedtime to make the 1.5 hour drive home. I'm not up for spending the night somewhere else right now coming off of vacation last week.
Thursday is G's 15 month well visit. I'd also like to do all the food shopping for Saturday.
Friday is party prep and hopefully some pool time.
Saturday is B's 4th birthday party! She's requested Peppa Pig decor and a bunch of random trinkets for her gifts.

Today C and I had a dance party together- so much fun and put us both in better moods.
Tues-Thurs I work. C is finally going back to preschool prep class Tues after missing 2 weeks from Hand Foot and Mouth.
Friday I'm hoping H can get off work early so we can take C to the splash park.
Saturday morning I have a blood draw, then haircut, then need to stop at the Farmer's market and then a surprise retirement party for my husband's aunt. Busy day.
Sunday I'm having my family over to celebrate my grandmother's birthday.
OMG. I'm at Walmart. It's college move in week here. There are like 2 lanes open for anyone who has more than 20 items. There are like 5 or 6 express lanes open. I have 6 carts in front of me. Even the express lanes are like 4 deep.
It's college move in week! This, and Christmas, is one of those weeks that you staff extra people! Or at least close down a couple of express lanes.

Blue Moon- happy birthday to B!! Her trip to NYC sounds amazing! Hope she has a great time! So nice of you to make an extra special dinner for you DH today too...hope it helps cheer him up a little- going back to life after vacation is hard!
ewall- way to go on the run! I so wish we had a treadmill...probably would run a lot more! At least my runs are exposing the boys to exercise...other than that, it really makes it difficult some days when they are fighting/don’t want to run.
HoneySpider- hope this week is productive for you!

We had a great time today! Got to see my BFF, her mom, and two kiddos for about 1.5 hours! She’s actually due with another baby just before Christmas! We were able to take the Monorail into DL (first time doing this by myself with the boys...stroller has to be folded so it’s interesting and chaotic). Lines were super short in the beginning and were getting longer by the time we left. All in all we did 8 rides in about 3 hours in the park. And, we are home and both boys are napping (I even got some work done for my dad)!!
Parking is such a pain and they keep making it more difficult for pass holders. We have always parked in downtown Disney and done the 4-5 hour validation. It’s not so much the $20 for parking as it is the inconvenience and time it takes with the tram/parking/security...not worth it for a 4 hour day. Anyways, now you have to do a sit down meal to get the validation (otherwise you only get 3 hours)...I had called last week and they told me I could get a meal to go and get validation but it wasn’t correct. Thankfully the guy remembered our conversation and honored it for today. We will probably end up parking in the structure and going through downtown Disney and onto the Monorail for future visits (or all the way through downtown Disney for CA Adventure days)...or make reservations in advance and do lunch at the restaurant.

luv2rn4fun you have to pay for parking if you’re there for over 3 hours? Pass holders at Disney World get free parking.
I started work today. It was ok. The kids are sweet but there was a few things that I didn’t like at the end of the day that had nothing to do with the children.
Tomorrow I have an interview after work. Hopefully it goes well!
Nothing interesting the rest of the week. I need to get back to the gym so planning to start that after work Wednesday.
First full week back with students is always exhausting! WOrk, work and more work this week. Saturday we're going out for Japanese dinner with my siblings for my mom's birthday.

wineandcheese- DL used to have the option to pay $40 to include parking with your pass (back when it was $10/visit for the structure). They did away with that years ago so we have been parking in a downtown Disney (which specifically says “no theme park parking”) because you could do $7 at AMC concessions 2 years ago and get 4 hours. Then it went to $10 minimum (we were paying $12.90 for chicken tenders and fruit snacks LOL). Now Downtown Disney is a minimum $20 purchase anywhere for 3 hours, $20 at sit down restaurant for 5 hours (which, you will spend more than $20 plus the time it takes to eat a meal)...or you can spend $20 for the structure and have all day at the parks...but it takes a good amount of time to get into the structure, through security, then into the park. It’s not really worth it if we can only be there 4-5 hours because we will spend a good hour more just getting to and from the park.

This week has been pretty busy and it’s not going to let up til the weekend and then back to a very busy week next week. I am already exhausted LOL
Yesterday we managed to do two grocery stores, run, laundry, make dinner, and schedule C’s teacher’s home visit.
Today we ran 6 miles, made dinner, cleaned up the house a bit, and are hanging out til nap time. My step mom might stop by before nap and then we have the teacher home visit after nap. Plus getting ready to watch all 4 boys tomorrow...thinking we might make birthday cards for their mom since her bday is on Sat!

We had more heavy rain yesterday and it was enough to cause water to leak down into our bedroom. Luckily we were upstairs getting R ready for bed so we were able to grab some towels and then move the bed and contain the damage but OMG I am so over this. We slept downstairs on the sofas last night. DH was able to patch it back up today, enough that hopefully we can sleep in there. We alerted the insurance company and told them this needs to be escalated, they said they would call the contractor today but we still haven't heard from them that the job's been approved. I just want this fixed.

So many ((Hugs)) and prayers HoneySpider. I hope it’s fixed soon. That just isn’t right that they are taking their time on this- not only is it a huge inconvenience but I would imagine that every time it leaks more damage is being done??? Sorry you guys are dealing with this on top of having all the chaos of a newborn and 2yo.
I hope the rain goes away HoneySpider. If you could send some my way and @luv2rn4funs way that would be amazing. The smoke from these fires is slowing setting in lower in the valley. 😞

Thanks luv2rn4fun and awick14 - definitely wish we could send some of the rain your way! It's crazy how weather is so extreme.
luv2rn4fun The first roof guy that came out put a tarp down and that was supposed to prevent further damage but it appears that he put it on the wrong part of the roof....so it did nothing. We did hear from the insurance company today that they've approved the work and the contractor should be setting everything up soon, we just don't know how long it's going to take for that.
this time, it's because I haven't been taking classes for 2 semesters, so I need to resubmit my certificate of deafness so my tuition waiver can be applied. I'm like, "you mean the same form that I submitted to you in 2002, 2008 and again in 2016, all under the same student ID number?" it's not like I graduated or withdrew, I just took a leave of absence. many people take breaks in school, like every summer.
I just sent a snarky but professional email, with the certificate attached, with a sentence about "please retain this as part of my permanent record. I trust that I will not have issues with this in the future." I doubt it will help but I hope it gets my point across.
andplusalso, the disability office has a copy of this too.
I swear, if I'm not there in person to hold their hand and walk them through this process, it gets screwed up. thank goodness I was sent home from work early so I can deal with this.
pooh8402- that sucks i hope they figure it out quickly. That is so frustrating.
We are going on holidays on Tuesday for 12 days to see our families. I am excited but nervous at the same time. The smoke/air quality rating is so bad there right now it may not be worth the trip. 😞
