DD1 is turning 5 soon and we have no idea what to get her. She loves board games so we can always just add to our current collection. For anyone who needs suggestions, she loves playing Chutes and Ladders, Zingo, and Pop the Pig (or something like that). We will probably get her new Lego sets too.
The 14mo loves anything that makes noise and happens to love the toys that DD1 wasn’t super into at that age, so it’s nice that they’re getting some use! DD1 didn’t love her IKEA play kitchen (2nd birthday present from us) but DD2 is already loving it, mostly because she likes banging the pots and pans but that’s fine. I am struggling to think of ideas of things we don’t already have for her since I don’t want her to just always get hand-me-downs.
3.5 YO DS1 has more cars and outdoor toys than he knows what to do with. I am thinking Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, HI Ho Cheerio, and a nicer scooter than this cheap toddler-type one he has. Probably art supplies too. He also asked for kinetic sand a Paw Patrol construction toy. I think my brother will get him an iTunes gift card so we can download some apps he wants.
For DS2 (11 months), a pair of shoes for walking, some of the toys posted above for six-18-month-olds, a couple books, and 18-month clothes.
I think we can get away with not spending much this year since DS1's
Yes my 2 year old loves this! My 4.5 yo likes it a lot too! They even play ......TOGETHER..gasp with this toy!
the toy is LEAP FROG LAUGH AND LAUGH ICE CREAM CART.
Does it make obnoxious sounds?
IMO no. It does make noise, talk and make music, but I don’t find it particularly annoying. You can also play with the sound off, which my kids do a lot. There are different cards that you can insert and it will tell you what to do, make, count , etc which is part of what makes it great for various age levels. The multi step directions are good for the older ones, but mostly mine just do creative play. It’s a really nice toy- definitely worth checking out. I never could find it on sale, but buybuybaby sells it so I used the 20% coupon.

DS1, 8: Jurassic World Lego set, books, Jurassic Park board game, JW coloring book
DS2, 6: Jurassic World Lego junior set, African savannah puzzle, Schleich animals to add to his already-extensive collection, and the Schleich croco jungle research station
DS3, 4 (will be 5): Jurassic World Lego junior set, books, a game of some kind...I’m pretty stumped on him.
DS4, 1 (will be 2): Jurassic World Duplo set, books, possibly that Leap n Learn ice cream cart that someone previously mentioned.
I bought every Jurassic World Lego set available back in June- regular, junior and Duplo versions. I know the pain all too well of wanting to buy a set but they’re gone/retired. So they’re all hidden in the garage. DS2 has an intense love for animals, especially elephants, which becomes difficult to shop for after 3+ years of that being his heart’s desire. So far I’ve done okay, but I’m worried when I find the end of the road. DS3 I’m really not sure about. He loves cars and trucks. But we are really trying to scale Christmas back this year.
we are considering a mini trampoline for our crazy toddler, anyone have one they recommend? Did yours get lots of use or was it a waste? Same question about those bouncy horses (Rodys)

My kids still love our bouncy cow. And I mean LOVE. We got it 4 years ago this Christmas. It’s played with daily and has endured some hard times with 4 crazy boys. Obviously YMMV, but it’s been a huge hit here. Maybe I’ll get a second one for Teddy for Christmas this year...

Our mini trampoline was worth its weight in gold! So much winter energy burned on that thing. We had the Little Tykes one with the bar to hold on to.

Yes, we have the little tikes one. We do not have a bouncy horse.
Trumpette! I bought it as a Black Friday deal, I definitely didn’t pay nearly $40 for it. But with how much they love it? It’s definitely paid for itself. I can’t say the same for you, because no guarantee C will love it. And I bought it in 2014. Lol. Thanks, Amazon history!
For parents of toddlers/little kids, this gets great reviews and is typically hard to find around the holidays as stores sell out. I was thinking about getting it for my nephew who is turning 3, but wondering if it’s too young for him.
YES. We have that one in lieu of a play kitchen and it's great because I can rotate it out (whereas a full play kitchen would be more of a permanent fixture). I actually never told DS that it works with water because I know he'd always ask for water with it... But it seems super well made for that too. It's a clever design and would be a fun outdoor toy with water IMO. This was such a top toy for us that it's also the gift I got DS' half a year younger cousin for her birthday.
Does anybody have the. Hape quadrille marble run? Is it worth it? I’d love for this to be the boys big gift if it will actually get played with.
We have this, as well as 2 other quadrilla marble runs (they all work together so my boys can make giant marble runs). They are great - high quality and user friendly. We have had our original set for at least 5-6 years and it looks brand new. They have been consistently played with - my 11 year old still likes to play with it with his brother.

DS will be 6.5 at Christmas - his list is Legos, Legos, Legos. Specifically all the Jurassic World Legos he didn’t get for his birthday in June. Plus some Star Wars Legos. Plus whatever else he sees that catches his eye. I’ll probably suggest a sleeping bag for him as well if someone asks.
I think I might get all of the nieces and nephews on DH’s side (ages will be almost 8 to 13) Nerf guns. And get DS one as well. They’d have a blast doing Nerf battles together.
DD will be 2y4m. She’s tough as we have so many toys from her brother. Frankly, she may just get some Duplos and maybe more MagnaTiles to add to what we have. We ready have a tricycle; ride on toy, wheely bug, Rody, plasma car, train table, and play kitchen, and then she got an art desk for her birthday last week.

We have had a 48 in Bazoongi trampoline for nearly 5 years and my kids spent 45 minutes on it yesterday. It is really sturdy and has held up great. I will say it was a bear to assemble and the weight limit is 100 lbs so I’ve never been on it myself, but I wouldn’t let either deter you from buying one. For us, it has definitely been one of those rare enduring childhood hits that was ultimately a great pick (comparable in our house maybe only to Magnatiles, which, even after years of ownership, were also used extensively yesterday).

DD1 Disney Doorables, Shopkins, Legos, Barbies, LOL dolls, AG stuff
She is 7 and still completely into playing with toys-I know some kids start to outgrow it but her imagination grew bigger so her stories are more complex.
DD2 will be six months so mostly necessities and maybe some little people sets. She has to get something because DD1 would completely notice if Santa passed her over.
Yes someone please tell me what 8 year olds are into this year. She’s going to be SO hard to shop for this year. To add to the fun she has a November birthday so I need multiple ideas.
So far I know she wants all the Dogman books. I must admit they are pretty funny!
For 4.5 ds, 2 wheel scooter, kinetic sand, more legos
Maybe an easel? Oh and some movies since we’re watching more things like goonies.
Oooh, I hadn’t thought of a two wheeled scooter! DS is already riding a bike so I’m wondering if he would like both. He does still occasionally ride his micro mini, so maybe!

The little tikes trampoline gets used everyday in our house. When they are acting crazy I tell them to go jump for awhile and get it out Of their system.

We have the little tykes trampoline and both boys love it. It’s kind of big, so it mostly stays in an extra bedroom and doesn’t get played with as much as it would if it were more accessible.
