I know it's August and 100 degrees outside but the requests for lists are just around the corner. What great thing do you and/or your kid love this year? I'll start - these paint markers are awesome, C (5 years old) loves them, and they really do dry in 90 seconds.

Yes someone please tell me what 8 year olds are into this year. She’s going to be SO hard to shop for this year. To add to the fun she has a November birthday so I need multiple ideas.
So far I know she wants all the Dogman books. I must admit they are pretty funny!

My 2 year old is really loving the IKEA train track we brought up from the basement. We just got the basic track with some trains and very few accessories. My oldest was not really into it but the baby finds it mind blowing, lol. WHOA! every time the train goes down the hill.
the Micro scooter has been a hit with my oldest who is not comfortable on a bike yet.
4yo - Kids fire tablet, lego sets, Melissa and Doug clock, Melissa and Doug see and spell, matchbox cars, books
2yo - water beads and various tools to go with (spoon tongs, scoopers, etc - there’s a kit on amzn), grocery cart for his love of pushing things around, Melissa and Doug laundry play set (he loves to clean), bristle blocks, rody bouncy horse, books
No clue. We might get my oldest an iPad with shatter proof case. She can't use the reading program app her school uses on her current tablet and I'd love for her to be able to do that without using our stuff.
My son wants a full size basketball goal, which is not going to happen as he is only 3. I have no clue what else to get him at the moment. He loves balls and trucks/cars but we have about 100 of each.
I'm going to need good ideas for my 2 yo. Baby is due just before Christmas so I'm going to have to start early and I'm definitely going to want to spoil her since her world is going to be turned upside down. I was thinking a play kitchen but I'm not sure it will be "special" enough because they have a couple really cool ones at daycare. The train table she might like too.
No clue. We have a 3yo who has more crap than he knows what to do with. I want him to have a lego/train table, but that's been on his wish list for a year and a half and we've had no takers. But we're getting him a playset in the back, we're not getting him a play table too.
IDK what to ask for for DD, who will be 1.5 at Christmas. She's the only kid in the family. I want to ask my family if we can just do stocking stuffers for each other and then go out to dinner and also do a charitable donation of some sort.
She likes the water table at daycare so maybe we'll put that on her list.
If you're looking for something for a child between about 6-18 months old, these are some of DD's favorites:
mbcdefg , Last year for DD we got her a radio flyer 4-in-1 tricycle, and a kids table and chairs from ikea (mammut series). She's gotten a lot of use from both and she'll be able to use for a while.

Thanks, great ideas! She got a trike for her birthday (I couldn't remember the brand so I didn't list it here ... plus she likes to sit on it but her legs are too short for her feet to reach the pedals, lol), plus a helmet. But we don't have a kiddie table and there's an IKEA close to where my family lives so I'm going to bookmark that.

I think we're going to have FIL get the Micro Maxi this year for our super tall kid.
Also, C just pulled out those tracks last night, lol.

Does she have snap circuits? Would she enjoy a sewing kit?
All four are getting more Magnatiles and if I can find good deals sunglasses, slippers, and umbrellas.
Also thinking about doing an adopt an endangered animal thing and getting stuffed animals and/or making shirts for all 4. DS1 talks about it frequently now especially snow leopards.

For parents of toddlers/little kids, this gets great reviews and is typically hard to find around the holidays as stores sell out. I was thinking about getting it for my nephew who is turning 3, but wondering if it’s too young for him.

LOL this does remind me that DD has asked for a snake and a bearded dragon. LOL for days. No.

DS will be 7 in November. He's mostly into Legos, and I've already bought a Harry Potter Lego set from Target to give him at either his birthday or Christmas.
Other stuff he's into is:
Race Cars/Hot Wheels Pokemon Superheroes (Avengers, Batman, etc.) Captain Underpants books Super Mario Brothers
He just got new Pokemon bedding. So, I have no idea what else to get him. We might gently suggest experiences over toys to anyone who asks for gift ideas.
