September Lip Pics

Today I'm wearing Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.  I couldn't find the other color i wanted to wear this morning, so I went with this one.  I think of it as a staple but sometimes it'' more brown than I want.  I'll keep it for sure.  Please don't mind my uneven application today.

Another day of me wearing basically the same shade.

So if I’ve learned anything, it’s that I need to stop buying lip colors, unless they’re way different.

This one is a revlon ultra HD gloss. Idk the shade but it’s kind of a neutral rose.

Lipstick Queen Saint Mauve. I bought it during Ulta's Spring 21 days and never wore it. I really like it. Its comfortable and has lasted several hours. I do have a lip liner on under it.

chilerellanos, I basically have about 100 mauve lip products, so I hear ya on always buying the same color!

Huge ditto mortomo and chilerellanos to always buying the same color. I must have over a dozen brownish pink lipsticks at this point.

Today's shade was Bobbi Brown's Raisin Berry. I wore it several times a week when I first bought it, but at some point I rotated it out of my purse and I don't think I've touched it since 2016. It's a lovely plummy pink.

I like this. In person it's a rose with a bit of coral and it has a shimer and it has some lovely sheen to it. I forgot about it, which is a shame as it'd be a perfect summer lip colour.

Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick. I have to go to a family event for DH’s work this afternoon so I didn’t want something bold. I am wearing a burgundy top and jeans, so I think this goes well.

I don’t think it’s weird to not have it (if that makes sense). It is a color that my mom has worn for years, so it’s been on my radar for awhile. When there was a Clinique ornament gift thing 2 years ago I bought it for my mom, and picked one up for myself bc it was a good deal. It had Black Honey, Pink Honey and a Black Honey gloss. I actually just found the Pink Honey in my H’s car (which I drive when he travels, it’s not like he’s been wearing my lipstick lol) when I took Kid2 for a haircut this morning. So now there’s 19 lip products in my bag 🤦🏻‍♀️

I went to bed at 7 this morning and woke up at 10:30.

I’m still wearing last night’s makeup.

So today I’m just wearing a too faced peach lip oil. It’s a super light peach.

No makeup except some powder but I pulled out Maybelline Touch of Spice. This is one of my oldest lipsticks but it stills looks pretty good.

Day 7



Cover Girl Melting Pout in 110. Got this in a target beauty box and just opened it yesterday. It’s a nice color, decent formula. Will keep as a color to throw in my office desk drawer or in my purse. Pretty pink that can go with a lot of basic looks (which is what I wear to work most days).

Day 8



ColourPop Lippie Stix in Glam Bag. Got this in an Ipsy Glam Bag, was a custom color for them as evidenced by the name. It’s the matte formula which I don’t love but my DH gave me compliments all day and then later told me whatever I was wearing I should order more because it looked good. I was impressed by the staying power. Just after applying I spent the afternoon at several wine tastings with snacks and it didn’t show signs of wear until I had pizza later that night.

I actually owned this in high school and definitely felt fancy. However, I know it looks hot pink on me (like 95% of lip products do) so I’m not going to buy it again.

Haven’t worn any makeup in a couple days. I actually went through several lipsticks today, trying them on and then tossing in the bag I have going for my niece.

H and I are going out to dinner with another couple. Lips: KVD Lolita liquid lipstick topped with NYX butter gloss in tiramisu. Lolita is another product I will need a replacement for when it’s empty. I actually did a pic of me. PDQ.

ETA: looking forward to my brow appt tomorrow, they’re out of control.

Last night I wore Besame Cosmetics Red Velvet lipstick, but didn't get a photo.  I'll try to get one soon.

Today I wore Albeit Poppy lipstick (from Anthropologie).  I love this color and the moisture and glossiness of the formula, in addition to the pigmentation.

It was a morning with my mom, step-dad and husband in Oxford, just going for breakfast and a bit of a walk before returning to London (and I'm back now).




NYX Creamy Lipstick in Paparazzi. It felt a bit bubblegum pink on me (more so than in the pic) and it didn't last long. But it felt nice.

Pulled out my Mac Star Trek lipstick in Where No Man Has Gone Before. Honestly I bought this mainly because of the name but I really love the shade. It’s rosy with gold shimmer. I wish I had bought a backup.

MAC Dazzleglass in Steppin' Out- Love this color, don't love the stickiness, but will keep in my collection. 

Fresh Sugar in Nude- I don't really love this color, but it's a fullsize and I'd hate to waste it. I'm on the fence about keeping it or not.

Becca Beach Tint Lip Souffle in raspberry/opal- This is so beautiful. I think it's discontinued? I can't believe I forgot about it.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lip gloss-sweet kisser. I hate this color on me, so I'm tossing it.


UD Lipstick (old Formula)- Sheer Shame. Love this. Need to keep it in the fall rotation more.


MAC lip palette lipsticks in marvel and insinuate. Love these, trying to pan them this year.

Bite Chai - it’s a mini I found yesterday, after swatching, it’s in the medium range of my browns. That seems like a problem as I type it out. This is great color, lasts a decent amount of time and feels nice. Keeping.

I had Book Club today and ran a bunch of errands including waxing. The humidity was at 1000%

Today I wore Maybelline Blushing Beige but the photo won’t upload for some reason. It’s a boring pinky nude but good for when I’m wearing a bunch of eye makeup.
