With all the forward thinking posts about wish lists and the like, what is on your list? Other than being left alone (even if it is just for 5 minutes).
My parents will buy me my annual passport for DL! It’s my Christmas and birthday present every year and I really do appreciate it because it gives me something fun/special to do with the boys! They will be buying DS1 his pass for his bday this year (sometime between now and mid Dec).
I keep going back on an Apple Watch. I am back to running consistently but my Garmin is so inaccurate when pushing the stroller (which is 100% of my runs). I end up playing music and using MalMyRun on my phone and am always looking in the cup holder to see my pace/distance. Even if I got the non cellular one, at least I would have the data on my watch (and not be using two devices that I have to start/stop). But we switched to Cricket wireless so not sure I want to switch back to a company just to support the watch. It’s a lot of $$$ too for something that isn’t a necessity...

New running shoes would be nice too
I have never had that problem with my Garmin (FR 235 currently) and I’ve run many hundreds of stroller miles. I’ve got lots of mama friends with Garmins too and it’s never come up. You might try resetting it or making sure it locks the GPS before you start running. Their customer service is really helpful too. But don’t let that stop you from getting the Apple Watch!
luv2rn4fun I love my Apple Watch but get very frustrated with it on runs. It’s probably my doing but I find that sometimes it auto-starts when I set my phone for a run and sometimes not. I can’t start it from the watch because then my Nike app thinks I’m simultaneously running two runs. Just weighing in in case running is the only reason to get one.
I usually send out my Amazon and Nordstrom wishlists for those that buy me gifts. This year, I’m going to try to convince my husband to get me a Nespresso maker for work.

I was going to say quitting my job and leaving the girls in daycare lol
I feel like we have too much stuff and no time so I don’t even know what I would wish for.
I've been on the lookout for a pair of joggers that are cute/presentable for public, but comfy. Something I can wear in place of my usual yoga pants/leggings, but not have to worry about pantylines, lol. It's been hard to tell online though.
I also want to ask for more workout leggings for maternity leave. My most comfy ones are crops but I need more for being home during the winter.
konapoppy, I feel the same. Two years ago when I was going to take a severance package, MH actually told me to stay home and leave BB in daycare. But I was too efficient at finding a new job. I am glad, but man, I was so close to living the dream!
Mrs.flang, let me know if you find these magical jogger pants, I will buy 12.
I kind of hope I will worry about panty lines again one day. Since becoming a mom, my style is “does this underwear stay up” and “I am doing my best to embrace these shoes that scream mid 30s suburban mom because they are comfortable.” I am not enjoying it.

I have a lou & grey pair from LOFT that might fit the bill. I can't remember the name, but there are a few pairs online.
I really need a new phone. DH says to wait until they announce the new iPhone and either get a discounted 8 or the new phone. But then he'll say needing a new phone means it's not a gift.
Honestly I would love a massage every other month.
Not just being left alone, but being left alone on a day with nice, cool, Fall-like weather, a book, my "Leaves" candle from B&BW, and possibly a glass of cider.
Tangible items: I guess I need new underwear, but I so don't enjoy shopping for it that I'm putting it off until absolutely necessary.

Sorry raangoli , this thread is now my musings LOL
My style is "At least it doesn't have a stain on it" cc: mbcdefg because I know she can relate (not that I am calling you out, I just know we commiserated on this)
Also, I am enjoying these musings because they're basically mine as well.
Idk. I definitely need new clothes but I’m bad at picking them out for myself, and so someone else picking them out for me would be a disaster.
So some time with a personal shopper, maybe? Jeans, boots, a fall jacket, pajamas, good quality cardigans that won’t rip or pill right away. Decent going-out clothes.
Maybe a compact blanket and a flat toiletry kit for travel?
I’d say a massage, too, but I’m still sitting on a massage GC from Mother’s Day. And a pedicure GC. So a day completely to myself would be really nice.

I specifically washed and ironed a t-shirt dress I like so I could wear it to lunch with MH and C last weekend. We got to the place and she wanted to sit in my lap and eat, not the high chair. Within five minutes she’d dropped food all over me. I was screaming to MH under my breath EVERYTHING I OWN HAS A FRIGGING STAIN ON IT.

Costco had 32 Degrees joggers last year and I bought them in 2 sizes in black (I lost some weight from when I first bought in September to around Thanksgiving) and another pair of grey. Then when they ran out of the black ones in womens, I sized down in mens. The womens were ankle length and the mens were a little longer (and had zippered pockets!) so they went with different things, lol. They have them back but I don’t think I need another pair.

Thanks! I need to figure out how to reset it. Their customer support is great- my band broke in less than a year (my dads too) and they replaced both of them! I have been better with getting the GPS locked and it’s a little more accurate but still off. So frustrating...plus it always says I am running much slower than I am.
I doubt the Apple Watch will help though. I ran with my dads and it was annoying as well. He also doesn’t think it will fix my issues.
What Garmin do you have? I have the forerunner 230...
Otherwise just experiences. DD is at an age where instead of alone time I want time with her! Nice dinners, shows, the zoo, day trips, etc.
For family I’m going to suggest kitchen stuff. I need new cutting boards, new dishes, etc. After 15 years of marriage a lot of that stuff is falling apart.

I hope the food stains came out. I also hate ironing, so I am super impressed that you did that. I bought a steamer for that reason or I throw it in the dryer with a damp towel lol.
A new job. Also a job for my H. My interviews didn’t pan out. 😭 I decided I couldn’t take the travel job anyway. I want another baby more than I want that career.
We are on such a tight budget, I spend all my time daydreaming about what I want. Right now it’s a long weekend at a cabin in the mountains with my H.

That's one of the very few items of clothing I have where ironing is absolutely required, otherwise it looks like a hot mess. So needless to say I don't wear that piece that often
Most everything else I have is the type where if it's wrinkled it'll settle once I get to work (and these super-steamy humid days help ... sometimes I just hang the clothes on the dining room chair by the open window and by morning most of the wrinkles are steamed out. Blech. Or I hang it in the bathroom during a hot shower.
Or I just get MH to iron for me
It's in the wash now so we'll see. We went to a dim sum place in Wayne and DD was chowing down on dan dan noodles.
Instead I gave myself the gift of silence by enrolling both kids full time at their school. I could have probably gotten away with keeping DD just 9 - 3, but the ability to send her full time so I can have extra hours of silence is costing me about $3000 for the year. That would've been enough for the Neverfull LOL. DD thinks Kindergarten is from 8 am to 5 pm. She got mad that I picked her up at 3 pm to take her to swim class. And for the baby, he wears me out when I am with him non-stop. I'm so happy he's going to school because they send him home worn out.

I have the Forerunner 235 - just like yours except it has the wrist heart rate monitor. This website might be helpful wrt resetting it: thewiredrunner.com/troubleshooting-gps-watch/#Forerunner230 Sometimes it's as simple as turning it off and then turning it back on again. You could also try googling your problem - I've had luck with finding fixes to Garmin problems that way. Their customer service line can also help you think up solutions. It's so weird to me that you're having this issue with stroller running - that definitely should not be happening!
DH is a runner and loves his Apple Watch for regular use but isn't the hugest fan of it for running. Just fyi...

My friend has this pair from Prana and they are so cute. Way cuter IRL than on the website, tbh. They are like joggers, but the cinched leg opening makes them way more visually appealing than most other black capris and joggers on the market. I am buying a pair ASAP.
