Morning, everyone. Hope you all had a nice weekend!
We were super busy--we hiked and had play dates, went apple and pumpkin picking, cooked and meal prepped for the week, etc. I did bootcamp and ran as well. I was SO tired last night that I fell asleep on the couch at 8 pm.
S has been kind of a miserable wanker, though. He was SO FUSSY and whiny yesterday. And doing all he could to be a jerk. Picking up his SUCTIONED ON plate and flipping it onto the floor. Just because. Taking sips or milk and spitting them out at us. Throwing and hitting. Just generally being extremely clingy. Like, if I go to the bathroom he is throwing himself down and wailing to the point that he cannot breath. It is beyond frustrating. But then he is also so lovey and brings me books to read him and climbs in my lap to read over and over again. I just wish he could talk and tell me why he is being so fussy. Poor guy. He is also super into "yup, nope." If we are playing something and he wants to repeat it he just says "yup??" over and over. It is so cute.
shauni27, I was dying at your photos from this weekend. S is a breathtaking child, and I was in awe of you hiking that mountain with him on your back! I'm sorry he has been a fussbucket, though. I can relate to the bathroom thing; I can't remember the last time I went alone. If I dare try he yells "MAAAAAMA!!" over and over while reaching his fingers under the door like I'm about to escape through the toilet lol.
Our weekend was good but went fast. I'm actually kind of dreading this coming weekend because my in-laws are coming to visit. They were originally going to just stay Saturday night but they informed us that they're coming up Friday instead. My MIL is already BEC for me so her "We will be coming up Friday instead, what time will you be home" text made me RAGE. Maybe ask first?
On a happier note, my first ultrasound is Friday. We will not be telling my in-laws I'm pregnant even though my parents/sister already know because I'm a petty petty woman lol.

shauni27, sorry he's being such a fussbucket. We've had those times too, it sucks!
The weekend was good! I finished G's halloween costume, he wore it for a bit to get used to it, and he has really started walking more and more. I have a major push to finish his baby good (or at least get it up-to-date), plus I want to send a lot of photos to birth mom so she can have them. I'm hoping to get all that at least ordered by Friday, we'll see.
Otherwise, not too much going on! G has his 15 month appt on Friday, so I'm curious to see how much he weighs, etc., plus get him (and us) his flu shot! After last year's epic illness spectacular, I'm hoping this year will be better. No daycare, plus him being older, should work in our favor.

Morning! We just got home from gym and it looks like E is just about asleep. I still don't know when to transition her to one nap - she just gets so tired with the long wake times with one nap, but her second nap is getting later and shorter (because I wake her to keep bedtime around 7:30).
We had a busy weekend too - glad for a quiet day at home today. E also always goes in the bathroom with me, but that's because I announce, "I have to peepee!", then she makes a beeline for the bathroom. Lately she's been trying to hand me toilet paper, heh.
We had a nice weekend! My H came back late Wednesday after 6 days away. OMG, never again. So I took full advantage of off loading parenting duties to him over the weekend. We did go out to a nice dinner on Friday night, and I got a bunch of fall plants and pumpkins. We also bought a big girl bed for C. It will be here this weekend, and I'm nervous about the transition. She seemed really excited about it, and we've been talking it up, but once she was on one of the beds she said it was too big for her and she needed to sleep in her crib. Ugh, I hope this isn't a tough move for her.
scm1011, It was killer, won't lie. It isn't a huge mountain, 3300' but it is pretty steep. My body is still sore today. I really want to do it again! oneslybookworm, LOVE the costume--you did an amazing job. Cannot wait to see him in it! mpc, HAPPY BABY DAY!!!!!!!!
Hey guys! At work, and I don’t know how I’m going to manage this. I was up for the day at 6, and still barely made it out of the house before 8:30. H is on leave for two months, but I hate being the nag who tells him to get the hell up so he can feed the baby instead of me. This will probably get worse, if I get my wish and she starts fully nursing! Lol. Six isn’t early, but it’s hard enough when I was feeding her at 11pm, and pumping at 3am.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Mushe, ummmmm if he is on leave now and you are at work.....OMG he needs to get his butt UP!!!!! I would be angry and bitter lol mpc, OMG How is it baby day!!!!!!! Thinking of you!!!!!!! EKKKK!!! can't wait to see pics! shauni27, my least favorite stage was around 14-16months.....they can't communicate and are such jerks! It does get better! But mine was a jerk for a little bit yesterday but I give her a pass bc she is sick
We are doing IUI#2 cycle this month!!! I really hope it works! I want a summer baby before the school cut off to save me on daycare lol!
Tentatively dancing on over here with my first beta result today of 195. I guess I'm "officially" pregnant? EEEK! I had one loss back in February and that HCG was much much much lower, so I'm trying to be hopeful.
Hopefully I get to stick around here for a long time....
Congrats woowoo! FX for a sticky baby! mpc - I can’t believe it’s already baby time! Good luck! Mushe - argh, that is frustrating. H definitely needs to get up and do the morning feed when he’s on leave!

This is me with naps. J is fighting his second nap about half the time.but I think he still needs it. When he does fall asleep.its usually for over an hour. Last week he skipped his 2nd nap 3.times and was up for like 7 or 8 hours until bed which led to him.waking up a lot at night. I tried just doing 1 nap one day and he was a bear and fell right asleep for his second nap. So....I'm keeping 2 for now.
J is suddenly trying to say a million things. He cant really get hem out but he says mama constantly and calls his cup and bottle baba so we know what those are. He also says yeah a lot. It's cute watching him try to talk
He has taken a single step or 2 several times but isnt into trying to walk.
Nighttime has been rough. Either he goes to bed at 8 is up twice just to drink then goes right back down and sleeps until 630 o he goes down at 8 is up for an hour at some.point motn then up at 6 for the day or is down at 8 sttn but is up at 5. Its kicking my butt.
mpc, congratulations! Your newest family member is beautiful and I am so glad you are both healthy and happy <3
King26, I love watching S try to speak, too. It is so funny. I am sorry he is being such a stinker at night; it is really hard. S was down by 6:30 last night and woke up crying at 4:15 today. I was too tired to just let him cry it out so close to when we have to get up so I brought him in bed with us (which I only do if it is within a couple of hours until alarm time) and he slept until 7, thank god.
A's first day of preschool today. Last week she wailed even being introduced to the school so I'm no longer hopeful for a fabulous transition. Plus H just doesn't have the same intuition about how she's going to react and what to do/say, so I'm worried he will make it even worse. I hate that I think this.
I'm starting stims on Thursday. Last night I was making sure I have everything. This time the pharmacy didn't provide gauze and alcohol pads so I went digging into the black hole of random shit we have and found some gauze. It's leftover from DS' circumcision that the hospital gave us. I feel like my second round of IVF is coming full circle. LOL.

your local pharmacy should have more in the first aid aisle if you need more!
Preschool went okay. A cried and only stayed for 15 minutes but she did eventually stop crying. She also managed to wash her hands in the little bathroom without too much drama. The teacher didn't seem fussed - she said she's been doing this for 30 years and has seen it all. She's supposed to go for 30 minutes tomorrow, so I'm hoping she'll be able to have enough time to get interested in a book or a toy or something. They will also be going on a field trip to a fire station this month so A was super excited to learn that. She loves fire trucks!

I'm glad you're easing her in slowly, and that the teacher seems understanding. That's so important for getting toddlers used to a new situation.
thoseareradishes, I am so impressed that you made it more than a year and a half without a cold! I cannot imagine. At 14 months I think S has had...12 colds? lol.

Yeah we've been really fortunate that she hasn't gotten any colds. We kept her isolated from other children as much as possible last winter. She has pretty great lungs for a preemie but a cold could have landed her in the hospital again. She didn't qualify for the RSV shot this year so I'm a little nervous how this winter will go .

oneslybookworm, it's also known as Synagis - it's actually not a vaccine, it's antibodies against RSV. E got it monthly for about 6 months last flu season. It's typically only given to babies who are preterm, have heart issues, or have chronic lung disease.

Gabe was also a preemie, but he got RSV around 6 months so it might have been too late.

DS2 got RSV when he was 6 months old as well and ended up hospitalized for asthma last Thanksgiving. He’s doing much better (knock on wood) since he started his preventative inhaler.
