Good luck to everyone testing and doing betas this week!! I'm crossing my fingers and saying prayers for all of us!
My beta is Friday, but I'm not sure if I'll test before it or not. I truly hate testing and seeing BFNs. I'd rather live in bliss hoping and thinking I'm pregnant for a bit longer. I know its silly. But I go back and forth on if I want to or not.
I’m still on holidays until Friday, so I am hoping to just do some relaxing and trying to get to the gym to see if I can get rid of this stupid swollen belly. Other then that not much planned for this week.
My friend that I mentioned last week that told me about her doing IVF text me this morning after her egg retrieval and they got 23 eggs. She will find out tomorrow how many fertilized.
Week 1 of TWW nearly complete. I've resisted testing up to this point.
My eyes have been dry but I could just be imagining it.
A friend is going in for EC on Wednesday. Please send her good vibes! She's older and has been struggling longer than me so it would be fantastic if this works the first time for both of us, 2 weeks apart!
Sending good luck to both of your friends wise_rita and awick14!! I hope they find success very soon!
Since I have been pregnant once before, I'm just reaching for symptoms to compare to that right now. It's been long enough that I truly dont remember what I felt I the early days. I dont trust my memory and I'm afraid I'm feeling too hopeful right now.
Transfer was Thursday and DH has pretty much had me under house arrest. He is taking the directions from the RE seriously. The directions were to "take it easy" well to DH that means plop my butt on the couch and do nothing. He's done the cleaning, he took the dog for walks, he cooked and I literally sat on the couch and watched tv. I will say I'm exhausted though.
PIO shots are going really well, I don't feel them when DH does it and he's said more than once it's done. I don't feel the prick, the needle, the injection nothing.
I ended up screwing up my left leg because I think I hit the nerve twice (the only time I did the PIO myself) so I have no feeling in my knee/lower leg. I know it's super early (4 days post transfer) but I broke down and tested this morning to negative.
They did increase my endometrin inserts because my progesterone the day of transfer was very low. I go in tomorrow for mid week labs to check my blood levels again and then beta is set for 3/11.
megstoo, its still early, you are not out yet. FX crossed its just too early! I'm glad PIO is going well (outside of that one time, Yikes!). As long as your H sticks to the upper outer section of your butt, that shouldn't happen again!
I don't really feel the PIO either (mine is in ethyl oleate which may be thinner than some of the other oils from what I've read). The only thing I feel is when the needle hits my muscle layer, I feel a painful twinge for the second the needle pokes it and then that's it. Today was the first time I pulled the needle out from doing PIO and gushed blood. I was prepared for that eventually and am impressed it took me a week and a half of PIO to do it.
I had my saline sono this morning. It wasn’t bad. Everything was clear so I can start IVF. The plan is to stop birth control this Saturday and go for my baseline scan on Wednesday. I should be getting my calendar soon. Woo hoo! I am starting to get nervous but also excited.
I have some stimming questions - do you know what over the counter meds you need to avoid? Any foods you can’t eat? My nurse said I could have a cup of coffee per day but I may try and just drink green tea or matcha instead. Did you avoid caffeine during stims?
Today is CD15 for me and I had my monitoring appointment this morning. I haven’t gotten any flashing smiley faces on the opks so I wasn’t hopeful. My RE found a 29mm follicle and doesn’t seem to think it’s a cyst based on my cd3 scan. I’m going to trigger tonight (first time doing that so wish me luck- and advice welcome!) and we are doing TI this cycle so we’ll be busy this week. I’m honestly still not that hopeful because I haven’t read much about bfps after having such a big follicle.

The only over the counter med I know is usually ok is Tylenol (No Iburprofen, NSaids, ect). Outside of that I dont remember much else.
Food wise: Last time around I dont think I changed much about the way I ate. I did go to decaf coffee for my 1 cup a day.
This time around I went low carb/high fat (loosely keto), at the request of my RE. I also upped my water intake, because that never a bad thing and I struggle drinking enough. I also went back to decaf coffee this time once I did my FET (but I would have started sooner if I'd stimmed).

I basically did what Gumby did this time and had my best retrieval yet.

Someone once told me green tea could cause uterine contractions which is prob totally made up but made me give it up. I cut caffeine all together for months. It is rough.

My saline sono is tomorrow. Did you take some ibuprofen before?

Yes they said to take 600 mg - 800 mg one hour before so I took 800 mg. I don’t think I needed that much 600 mg would have been ok.

I didn’t take anything and it was pretty much fine. The speculum is what sucks so if you have trouble with that I would take something but if you handle that fine then I think you are probably ok without.

Same as above, no ibuprofen and I cut down on caffeine. Had a cup of black tea in the mornings instead of coffee. Also my doctor told me to avoid scented products while stimming (body wash, lotion, etc.) and especially on the day before and day of retrieval.

What is wrong with scented products?
They embryos don't like them. I've been told to avoid them, but just on the day of retrieval and transfer (when the embryos hit the air, so to speak).

Where did you buy these products? Does target sell unscented bodywash/shampoo etc?
We were told it's ok to use shampoo soap and deodorant. They don't want you wearing perfume or smelling of smoke. For our FET I ended up showering the night before just to be safe.

Ok cool I don’t smoke and don’t wear perfume, but I will def just use a bar of unscented soap if I can’t find body wash.
