E2 is sick again. I think it's just a cold but he has a little rash so I want to keep him home. And E1's class has 2 cases of fifths disease, so that makes me nervous. He's been complaining of random joint pain the last couple days.
Congrats to your H loira, glad it all went smoothly.
I haven’t been around in awhile. We were gearing up to move across the country for my new job when I got offered my dream job in our dream city (also on the other side of the country but not the same place as the first job). Now we’re in the middle of house selling hell in a soft market. But overall I really can’t complain.
R turned 3 a couple weeks ago and I can’t even believe what a big boy he is. We are giving away the last of the baby stuff before we move and it’s gonna be hard to see the crib go, we bought it 8 years ago for DD and R is still sleeping in it. The kids shared a room on a recent vacation we took and now want to share a room in the new house, so we’re getting bunk beds for them. Fun!
I swear, insurance reps need to keep their mouths shut sometimes. I have been fighting with insurance over covering my pgs testing (which they said they’d cover from day 1 due to medical necessity) and are now giving me the run around. The girl I spoke to today had the nerve to say, “I bet you are still going through fertility treatments” I told her that no I am not, I am pregnant and she told me “oh I guess the testing did work.” FFS. Yes, insurance, I have been telling you from day 1 I have a medical diagnosis that requires genetic testing in order to get pregnant and yes that testing actually does work! Bangs head on table. I will be getting a check this week but I still have to do even more leg work to have the rest paid for.
Our cycle was a complete bust, of the 11 retrieved 7 were mature and only one fertilized. It was only a morula on day 5 so they gave it another day to get to blast but it arrested. There was only mild Fragmentation. This is all so similar to our first cycle where we had nothing fertilize. Going to our WTF appointment tomorrow, hoping to cycle again soon.
We welcomed Emilia.Rae this morning at 10:27am. She was 5 pounds, 4 ounces, 18 inches long. So a full pound and half an inch longer than her brother was. Totally different experience this time since she's in our room at the moment and not in the nicu. She's been latching and doing pretty well, but her blood sugars aren't maintaining, so right now we're supplementing with some formula and doing glucose checks every hour or so. Hopefully she can start keeping them up, or she'll need to be transferred to the nicu. Big brother came to meet her, wasn't quite sure what to think. He was also cranky and tired, so there's that. Im feeling pretty good at the moment. Some more cramping and bleeding than I had the first time around, but am told that's pretty normal for a second pregnancy. C-section went well. All of the issues they were worried about were a non-issue thank goodness, and I didn't have accreta this time. I am so happy to not be pregnant anymore.
kellikans - we did, I felt so confident going into this cycle. The only difference was that the cycle we conceived DS was the second of a back to back cycle where I stimmed normally the month before but then we cancelled due to lack of follicles. I wonder if that had anything to do with it; and am tempted to try another back to back next month to see if that makes a difference.
But congrats on your little girl! So happy for you!
Thanks everyone! WTF appointment was okay, he thinks back to back cycling works better for me. My first Ivf cycle were we had nothing fertilize was showing poor quality eggs, he used a term for it I can’t remember, but basically all the cells in the egg were clumped together. Cycle this month showed the same thing but all the eggs from the cycle we conceived DS were great quality and none were showing this. He thinks that the cycle that we ended up cancellingI’m 2017 helped flush out poor quality/dormant eggs and the next month we were got a fresh crop. So we are cycling again once I get AF.
