How do H&M bodysuits run in the grand scheme of long/lean vs. short/round?
I need to buy DS some footie pants for now, because daycare says his feet are always cold (ok), so I was going to pre-buy his next size footie pants + long sleeve onesies for fall so I can get free shipping. I was going to get these:
but I've only bought the wrapover bodysuits from there before. Curious about fit before I buy a 10 pack? I love their footie pants (hate baby socks) but I find their sizing kind of weird.
Also, why is my 9 week old wearing his sister's 4-6 month footie pants already!?
Susie, aren't baby feet ALWAYS cold? I thought that was a thing (due to circulation). *shrugs*
Ya'll my kid is still eating a LOT. We switched to Similac Total Comfort and it's working GREAT (much less fussiness, spitup and gas) but it's noticeably thinner and he's barely going 2.5 hours between meals, sometimes only 2 hours. And then he's HANGRY. Good news is we are gettig a 5 hour stretch out of him at least once a night, but still. It's freaking me out that he's going to be on My 500 lb Life in 23 years.
He's 13 lbs 10 oz, almost 12 weeks and is eating 36-40 oz a day.
woowoo does he have any signs of reflux? The GI said Ds3 was likely eating so much (36oz most days) as an effort to soothe his throat. Since we switched formula (she thinks CMPI is causing the reflux) he is down to about 30/day.
Are you giving her ibuprofen before bed? That usually helped give us an 8 hour stretch.
Last night was the first time it's impacted her sleep, so we haven't been giving her meds before bed. We only have Tylenol in the cupboard... is that okay for teething pain, or should I go to the store and get ibuprofen today?
I found that ibuprofen worked better and for longer. I was giving it to E1 nightly for a while.

Or maybe he is just in a growth spurt!
He’s been eating like this for several weeks now so I don’t think it’s a growth spurt. He spits up a bit after every meal but not a lot and doesn’t seem uncomfortable. Not sure what I should be looking for? What is CMPI?

If he doesn’t seem uncomfortable I wouldn’t worry! Reflux is just on my mind as we are dealing with a new diagnosis.
Anyone dealing with reflux or silent reflux? Dd2 had it and dd3 is showing some similar signs. Luckily we have her 1m well check on Monday so we can discus with her doctor. I feel like all she does is barf, grunt, cough, and act in pain after feeds.

We are dealing with silent reflux. The ENT diagnosed it when I asked him about Ds3s congestion at an appointment for his tongue tie. A small nasal scope showed the congestion was in his sinuses & his throat was red. I think Zantac made it worse and we have seen a huge change in symptoms since switching to alimentum rtf.
When DD goes to sleep, her first stretch is usually 3 hours, sometimes 4 if we are really lucky, but then each period of sleep after gets progressively shorter as the night goes on. Does anyone have any tips on how to extend those? We are working on spacing out her feedings so she eats more, less frequently, but he sleep patterns are not my favourite, so any tips would be appreciated!

Unfortunately it is super common for the first stretch of sleep to be the best and each stretch after that to get shorter.
How often is she eating during the day? Are you feeding her at every night waking? I’m on team “feed them frequently during the day so you know they need less at night”.

We are in the same boat. It's almost down like clockwork. 4 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour.

I try and feed as much as possible during the day and encourage the cluster feeding between 7-9pm. I also go to bed right when she goes down so I also sleep her entire longest stretch. It makes it easier to handle subsequent wake ups even though I do sacrifice evening time with DH or for myself. But sleep at this point is more important to me and it won’t be forever.
I lost the initial baby + fluids weight and then haven't dropped a pound. I'm not intentionally trying, but I also feel like I dont eat nearly as much as I'd like so I feel like SOMETHING should be coming off. Or is that whole EBF weight loss concept a sham?
I'm not being unrealistic but I'd realllly like about 10 pounds to come off so I have some clothes to wear. The remaining 15-20 can take time.

I’m about 5lbs away from pre pregnancy weight. I had GD though so gained maybe 5lbs past 24 weeks, much of that fluid at the very end and I delivered at 36 weeks.
I’ve cut out dairy because I think it really helps baby with spitting up and gas and my favorite treats are dairy based so I think that’s helping a lot.
She’s my last and I’m determined to get back to pre pregnancy weight with my first and that’s 15lbs away. Once the kids start school I’m hitting the gym and really cleaning up the diet.
Edit: I find that I use nursing my crutch/excuse for eating anything and everything.
Getting there. I finally got my double stroller, but D isn't quite there yet.
I had all of these images of myself going for multiple walks each day after I had DD. I haven’t. I imagine it’s much harder with 2. Know it will come off eventually, just be kind to yourself. I try and practice this because it’s so much easier said than done. Especially when nothing you own fits!
namasteak we are now able to go 3-4 hours in the day between feeds, but she’ll only eat between 2-4 oz.
al dente she is 11 weeks. So maybe I won’t even notice the 4 month sleep regression. Ha! Wishful thinking.
hamster I am sorry you are in the same boat! I hate this boat!
gastro that’s what I have started doing as well. You really have to if you want any actual sleep.
Fwiw, the pedi and GI both said to not go more than 3 hours w/o eating during the day. What has been working for us is feeding at 2.5 hours if he is awake but waking him at the 3 hour mark if he was sleeping.

Terrible. Maternity clothes look awful, prepregnancy clothes look awful and I haven’t found any cheap in between cloths that look good. Blech.
We finished up the freezer meals this weekend so I’m going to start making more mindful meal plans. And when Ds1 starts kinder next week I will start walking 2 miles a day (1/2 mile to the school) so I hope that helps!

You might want to try feeding her more often throughout the day. Even when she’s being bottle fed, DD rarely goes more than 2.5-3 hours at the absolute most between meals during the day (she eats even more often on days when she’s nursing). She’s been STTN pretty regularly since she was two months old, so we’ve just continued to let her eat on demand instead of trying to spread out or time her feeds.

Her doctor said to try and spread out her feed so she eats more, but less often since she was eating small amounts throughout the day. We had been feeding her on demand, but it seems no matter what we do, she still wakes up at night throughout. I thought by now, she’d be eating more ounces.
On the subject of getting your body back - does anyone have good post-natal yoga you tube videos to recommend? And/or pelvic floor exercise videos? A friend mentioned seeing a chiropractor for pelvic floor - has anyone done that?
I have some BM from about two weeks after D was born. It tastes wretched. Can I assume all of my frozen milk tastes that bad, or could a lipase issue solve itself and it would be better now?
Figured out part of his bottle issue. That shit is wretched.
