I've seen a few tweets stating that, although it's of course being talked about as Trump's tax returns, the bigger question really is whether the Legislative branch has oversight authority over the Executive.
I'm not sure if that makes me less worried or more, though.
I'm really nervous. Today's my anniversary and I want to have a good day, but if Trump gets away with yet another thing I know it will cast a pall on my mood.

5 min until the decision, right?
They've begun but started with a decision about another case (I thought the tax-related cases were all that were left, oops). McGirt v. Oklahoma (TW original case is about sexual abuse).
I’m assuming even if they say he has to release his taxes, he won’t.
Maybe but I believe that 3rd parties are where the requests were made for the most part. Congressional committees asked the IRS and the State I think asked for tax documents from the accounting firm that Trump uses. These 3rd parties are far more likely to follow a court directive.

"Article II and the Supremacy Clause do need t categorically preclude, or require a heightened standard for, the issuance of a state criminal subpoena to a sitting president."
Haven't gotten to the congressional subpoena part yet.

So I basically don't know what any of this means and whether they'll just keep fighting and never hand over the returns anyway, but for now I will bask in Gorsuch and Kavanaugh siding with the majority because Trump must be so angry right now lololololololol.
