We may be moving forward with a redo of our tiny little half-bath (it's 50" x 50"). This is what it looks like now (it's so small it's hard to get a good picture). It's hard to tell from the pic, but the floor is terrible stick-on tile, and they used wood glue on the molding which is all yellow and looks permanently disgusting, etc.:
Here's the room it's carved out of (it's that brown door, which I'd like to paint):
I'd welcome any and all inspiration photos! I'm torn between doing something super-neutral versus doing some colorful cement tile floor or wallpaper to have a little wow factor in such a small space!
I have you beat on tiny half baths. We didn't do anything bold, but the best thing we did for our tiny bathroom was replace the pedestal sink with an even smaller sink from ikea. We get so many compliments on the sink and it made the bathroom feel a lot bigger.
I don't have a true before picture but this was mid-renovation, still with pedestal sink.
My half bath is 4'x5', and I've liked going the "wow" route, although I did it with paint instead of wallpaper. I posted pics of it in the recent thread of afters, but it's dark teal with white beadboard.
My one regret is the pedestal sink. We have one too, and even a tiny vanity on legs to make it feel less heavy, would've given me space for a few rolls of TP, a bottle of toilet bowl cleaner, a spare soap bottle, etc. We're moving so obviously we're not going to mess with it, but it's not a choice I'd make again.
savan when did you get that IKEA sink? Recently? I have a half bath with a hated pedestal sink. It is getting replaced within 5 years. What a terrible idea they are. dr.girlfriend I love your living room built ins!
I’m no help on inspiration but from the pics you posted, I actually really like the brown door. It looks like it’s good quality and in good shape, and the color (as much as a neutral wood can be considered a color) adds some extra character.

Yeah, it's funny, I was looking at the pictures and thinking I liked it too! Honestly my biggest issue is that it doesn't lock, which is awkward for guests. Hopefully we can just change out the doorlock assembly.

I feel like beadboard would work rest with the other aspects of the house, especially the painted paneling of the main room, even though my style is very eclectic. Wondering about something like this but with a more modern wallpaper pattern:
I feel like someone on here had posted an amazing half-bath with wallpaper but I guess I never pinned it.
Our 1/2 bath is super tiny, I had to sit on the toilet to take this. Went for more drama with black walls and then had our contractor make the vanity from a gorgeous marble remnant (this was far cheaper than most big box options). It has a shelf below for garbage and basket to hold TP.
Your house is so pretty and so cool with all the pattern, etc; I would totally do something "fun" in the half-bath. I like your idea with the headboard and wallpaper! I have no pics to share, but I could totally see either cool wallpaper or an interesting floor tile or something.
I think you could go either way with bold or not. I think the beadboard with cool wallpaper would be awesome, and give it some height. I like the idea of that over bolder cement tile.
Also, that door is gorgeous! I wouldn't paint it if I could fix the lock.

I agree the door is beautiful. We had an old door that didn't lock on our powder room, so we added a hook and eye latch on the inside. We actually got compliments on the latch all the time!
