MrsAxilla haha! I’m pretty sure I’d be thrown out of the family if I sold mine, but it’s a Paul McCobb sectional. I’ve seen them in the wild anywhere from $1000-25k+ - honestly, you can get great vintage stuff for much cheaper than new stuff, in many cases.
I do need to reupholster it eventually, which will prob be $$$$, but the bones are so good that it’s worth whatever it’ll cost.
felicity , same thing happened with our Breville. I replaced the fuse and it works like new. Do you want me to send you a fuse and the connector part you need? I have extras!
That's so nice of you to offer, thank you! We already threw it out and bought a different one though
YES. Our friends raved about theirs and so I was excited when we moved into our new house and it had a Bosch. It’s quiet but it is a nightmare to fit dishes the way I want to and when it’s done, it beeps incessantly if we don’t open it right away. I can’t figure out how to stop the beep.
boxertdog they sell the dobby fabric in joggers and capris. Well, they did last year. I love it too, it’s so lightweight. It’s a spring/summer item so I’m guessing if it’s coming back it’ll be released right before F&F in March.
I don’t hate ours but it’s definitely not as amazing as I expected. I think it’s hard on dishes — things end up looking scratched way too quickly.
YES. In addition to the fact that mine won't dry plastics for shite, it also seems to be chipping things more than they should
The inability to dry anything infuriates me. I have heard that if you pre-clean the dishes too much before putting them in, the soap doesn't have anything to scrub off the dishes so can end up scratching them instead. But I don't find that mine cleans all that well, so if I don't pre-clean they don't get clean enough.

Interesting. We have a Bosch and I’ve liked it. Going strong on 13 years old (knock on wood) but I’ve noticed my Corelle dishes are all chipped on the edges and it’s really bothering me. The dishes are like 20 years old, so I don’t mind replacing them but maybe I’ll wait until the dishwasher dies.

I have found really staying on top of rinse agent helps with the drying, but it still sucks

How would a dishwasher chip dishes?! A lot of my dishes are chipped. I have a GE dishwasher. They are chipped because my H unloads the dishwasher and bangs the dishes all the time.
This is not surprising to anyone, but since we're sharing furniture hate, I hate our Ashley sofa. I guess it is probably 7 years old at this point so not shocking that it looks bad, but it started to look bad after just a couple of years. It is still comfortable enough that I haven't prioritized replacing it (especially with the billion other household things that need buying/doing) but I would never buy another one and look forward to eventually replacing it.

You got me curious so I googled and apparently it could be from the dishwasher detergent being too "harsh or abrasive". Are you familiar with Corelle? It is practically indestructible. These are not individual chips from being banged while putting away. The entire outside edge of all the plates is wearing away. Well either way, this post has convinced me it is time to replace them!

In this case this isn't Bosch's fault. It would be Cascade's or Finish's or whatever you use. My MIL has Corelle and they look like crap. All the paint is worn out and they scratch easily.
