Just about a year after officially signing with a surrogacy agency, we transferred an embryo to our gestational carrier last Tuesday, 3/8.
She’s been feeling sick and bloated the last few days, took a test this morning, and it’s positive!
Official test/beta is on Friday, so I was surprised she got a positive at 6 dp5dt but maybe because I don’t think I ever tested that early! She has three of her own kids but this is her first time being a gestational carrier.
We started to TTC in the fall of 2014. I’ve been through 2 different REs and an RI, 5 egg retrievals, 6 transfers of 7 embryos in total, and 4 first trimester losses with no live births to show for it. It’s going to be hard to believe this is real for a long time. Hopefully it clicks in time to get ready for a baby. 😂
My husband is a statistician and very much believed our RE who said using PGS tested embryos with a surrogate would probably yield like a 90% positivity rate, lol.

What a wonderful update! I’ve been watching for your follow up on this but wasn’t sure if your surrogate would be testing before beta. Fingers crossed for all the best news for all of you moving forward. ❤️
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
The second beta was 375, we had an ultrasound yesterday (1 week after second beta). Measuring 5w3d, which is right on. Appointment with the OB next Tuesday, 4/5!
