“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
Ok, I really, really thought this would be something other than what it was.
Because it says Wil-HELM Tell Overture, I thought it would be that familiar melody interlaced with Wilhelm screams. I even watched for a bit to see if people would drop from the upper windows for dramatic effect.

Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
I'm trying to figure out what to do with my guest room/office. It's not overly large, so I was leaning towards a day bed. I do have a couple friend that wants to come stay and obviously a day bed won't work for them. I had considered a trundle but there's really not room and would a couple want to sleep on a day bed/trundle? The other people who will come stay with me are single, so a twin will be adequate, I don't want them too comfortable and staying too long. With putting a desk in there, the only way to make it work, one side of the bed has to go against the wall.

I always hear people say that “I don’t want them too comfortable and stay too long” but have assumed it it TIC? Do people literally buy uncomfortable furniture to make their house less inviting for guests?
Closets by design makes a Murphy bed with a desk on the side, my bff is getting it put in her guest room in august, it’s not cheap but sounds awesome. I wish we could do it so my guest room could be an office/ workout room.

I sure hope not, lol, I have never heard of that until today! Like, I am not going to stay longer than intended just because you have a comfortable bed!

I was also going to suggest a murphy bed, followyourarrow. We were going to do that until I decided that it wasn't a reasonable situation to have my home office also be a guest room because then how would I work in there if we have guests who are sleeping in there?
We ended up buying this for our basement though and it doubles as a guest bed. We actually have the one with a chaise. It's quite comfortable to sleep on. We got a topper to go over it.

The kids loved it!
And they got some stuff wrong and had to go back and fix it, used all their cogs to figure things out, watched the videos a bunch, and there was so much laughter. Yaaay!

People in the never ever thread mentioned the Great Wolf Lodge. Why? Some friends want to do a weekend there with kids. What's so terrible about it?
We went years ago when DD was 4 and I was very pregnant with DS. We had an okay time - DD loved the water, I was able to float. The room was ehh, but we had lowered expectations going in.
THEN we came home and we all got sick. DD got a cold, DH got bronchitis, and I got a cough/cold so bad that my OB was worried it would cause problems, even though I was 8 months pregnant.
So, while it was good time for kids, in my mind, it will always remind me of the time the whole family got crazy sick from whatever germ juice it created there.
My old coworker used to refer to it as Great Barf Lodge. We did get sick a few times after we went. My kids also love the MagiQuest game that you do throughout the hotel.
My kids really want to go back but I haven't felt super comfortable with it and covid. Since we recently had covid, I looked at pricing and it was around $500/night. Hard pass on that. Before covid we used to pay around $100-150/night and that was with a themed room. With these prices we will likely never go back.
Today we leave our small college town part of our kid free vacation and go to an amusement park a few hours away. H and I love roller coasters! We like to go on them multiple times in a row. Yes we are kids at heart. <3
Captain Catnip do whatever a mediocre white man would do. They get hired for tons of jobs they aren't qualified for on paper.
Yeah, I'm still applying to some, but haven't had luck. Pretty much immediately get the "I'm sorry" email, I assume since I don't have a, college degree.
Honestly I have been getting the same thing. I do have a degree and several years of experience in the field I am applying and I still get thanks but no thanks emails on almost every job. Given “the great resignation” I honestly thought I would be able to cherry pick jobs, but I guess people with more experience are probably thinking the same thing.

If I had a leader like you I never would have quit Scouts! Every year my mom would ask if I wanted to do it and I would say yes and she'd say well you can't quit part way through but every year I did because we never did anything fun/memorable. Looking back I do wish they would have encouraged me to stick it out but they never did.

Definitely tongue in cheek! I hope people come visit.
