I posted earlier that I couldn’t remember what happened with Jared’s clearance and now I remember - he did get it, but after the people handling the clearance process were overruled. www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna962221

I cannot stand either of them. And I still cringe at the idea strangers would be scrutinizing their moves to determine if someone needed cancer care. I hate that our world has no privacy. Even truly shitty people should be able to get cancer care without paparazzi.

Those idiots on that corner are probably beyond hope at this point. But I just got home from spending the weekend in the (extremely red) Thumb. Pretty much every time I’ve gone in the past several years, it seemed like almost half the houses had Trump signs up. But this time, I counted less than 10 houses with Trump signs over the entire 2 hour drive. Now, the houses that had signs were going all out with as many “Let’s go Brandon” etc. signs they could cram in their lot, but I was shocked by how many fewer signs I saw overall. It makes me wonder if maybe this past week may have started getting some people to think about their cultish devotion to TFG.

The neighbor we share a driveway with had his MAGA hat on again, but according to H, it was backwards yesterday. Ha. I'm a bit curious about the rest of the neighbors on our street that all had 45 signs and flags in 2020. I doubt anything has changed with them, but who knows. These people are too far gone.

Same here. Our neighbor keeps his FJB flag in the garage, where you can see it because he often leaves the door open. I noticed this week he had 2 Trump 2024 flags flying, on either side of his garage, and they weren’t there last week. I’m hoping the Huskers do well this year so he can put those flags back up.

At least 6 other people on that side of the street then had the "Nope" signs with the Trump toupee, lol. Not so shockingly, both neighbors flanking the Trump house sold their houses this spring. 

But yeah, the people willing to show their "loyalty" that loud and proud are never coming back to this side of reality.

Trumper neighbor has had a Halloween decoration of a ghost being hung with a sign that says "Treason" behind it out since October. It's gone now. TBF I'd gotten so used to it that I had stopped even registering it, so I don't know when it disappeared. It was still up in early July, though.

It's funny you say this - our neighbors have a pool and when we moved in 11 years ago, they told us we could use it whenever we wanted.  When younger, DS loved to go over and swim.  

Then about 2 or 3 years ago, they put a lock on their gate.  Didn't know if it was intentional towards us, or something else- but recently we found out that they installed cameras in their backyard.  So I think it's "something else" and I think it's that the husband is becoming more of that stereotypical paranoid old white man who thinks people are stealing from him. 

DH is more likely the one to run into them outside and he'll chat with them - they are nice enough.  But I avoid them at all costs.  They are so blatant in their Trumpness that I have no space in my life for them.
