OMFG. The sewer fiasco continues. I already mentioned that assholes who broke and then "fixed" it filled in the hole before permitting and inspection. Well, whatever they did didn't fix it or wasn't enough. The toilet still won't flush and backs up. This is WHY not any jackass can fix a sewer line. I'm so fucking angry.
only because I reference my niece but she is 26 years old.
so remember earlier in the month when she stopped the guy from buying like $2,500 worth of ammo and the police got involved....
Today at work she was honored by both her employer and the local police dept for her act of bravery, as they are calling it. She even received a check for $500.00 from her employer.
Quoting myself to update. I couldn’t get an appointment last week, so I made one for next Friday, and in the meantime, sent a message to my primary about it. And 🤬, she doesn’t think I qualify now. I would have 2-3 years ago, but should be “normal” today, but to ask oncology to be sure. From what my friend said, it’s like the Covid shot, and a self attestation, so I don’t need a doctor to sign a letter saying I need it, just my own ethics. So, I basically phrased a question to oncology asking if he thinks I can check the box. 🤞 I’m such a rule follower that I am regretting asking.
I thought they were recommendations, not restrictions. H is only 49 and got his just by making an appointment at the grocery store pharmacy. He didn’t ask his doctor or anything.
It appears this is a state variable thing. I went to my appointment on Friday, and they said I needed a prescription from my doctor. Printed out the page from their (Walgreens) system that had things like “state law varies from ACIP guidelines and you have to follow state law.” 🤬 So, I messaged my doctor from the pharmacy counter to ask him to send a script over.
But, they talked me into using the appointment time I had scheduled for my updated Covid. So there is that. I was going to get it in two weeks anyway, so I’m just swapping the order.
I’m finding a very frustrating irony about how this is the second time I’ve been told no for a vaccine I’m qualified for. So many anti-vaxxers in the world and so many hurdles to jump. And these thoughts always make me send a donation to Remote Area Medical. So, time for another privilege tax.
I have been in Germany for work this week, and the Covid masking rules confuse me.
No requirement on flights (at least not the international one I flew in on). Almost no one was wearing a mask on the plane to get here.
Trains/trams? _Everyone_ masked. And drivers and conductors snarking at people who don't, or are slow to put it on before boarding - I think using language about getting removed from the train or fined, not sure. Enough to make folks remedy a lack of mask. Not everyone wears their mask properly, but they at least make an effort.
I find the difference perplexing. I assume different authorities, and in the case of planes, possibly commercial pressure, but, wacky.
