We had such an awesome weekend in Charleston. It was exhausting, but we saw SO many of our friends and it has filled my heart.
Unfortunately, when we got dropped at our car in the parking lot by the parking shuttle, the hatch opened with the fob, it unlocked, but then I went to start it as the hatch was closing and it, like, shorted out and then wouldn't do anything. I just replaced the battery Jan 7. Luckily we keep a portable battery jumper in the car and that got it to start, but while we were driving it kept flashing different dash lights and would kind of lose power, not accelerate right, etc. so I got off the highway and we took access roads home. It starts now, but still displays some weird dash lights that then go off, but the check engine light stays on. SO. I'm taking it to the dealership to drop it off in an hour or so here in a bit. We're a one car family so this is really annoying.
Maybe luckily or unluckily we have that "winter storm weather" coming, so the downside is I didn't want to take it out to the store today for extra stuff, I don't want to push my luck, but upside is we likely wouldn't be driving it the next couple of days anyway. I just hope it's not too $$$$ of a fix. It's only a 2017 with 30,000ish miles on it.
I'm having flashbacks right now. The first car I ever bought, 2 days aftwr purchase it showed its true colors -- sporadic, unpredictable, un-replicatable electrical issues. It would start with the radio going silent, then alllll the gauges would flip back and forth and dash lights would flicker. Then we played the fun game of "will it get its shit together, or is it gonna turn off on me in the middle of the highway?" Meanwhile turning off meant not only no acceleration, but no power steering. Ghaaa I'm sweating just thinking about it. I spent like 700 bucks on different attempts to diagnose it with zero luck.
Snow day for the kids due to very icy roads. Apparently the highways were a complete shitshow last night, and temp isn't expected to get above the low to mid 20's today. I think the district made the right call.
I'm a little more than halfway done with a 20-piece embroidery order. It's a nice one, bc each piece is fairly quick. The lady who ordered doesn't need them until mid-March, and I quoted her mid-Feb, but I'll probably have them done by this weekend.
I've been really into "puzzle" movies lately - action-y type movies that have some sort of mystery or puzzle to solve. National Treasure 1 & 2, the Dan Brown movies (DaVinci code, et al), Knives Out/Glass Onion, the Agatha Christie reboots (Orient Express, Murder on the Nile). Does anyone have any other movies like this they could recommend? I'm gonna burn these out if I keep rewatching lol
Oh. Speaking of movies, last weekend me and H watched Menu and Triangle of Sadness back to back. What a weird fucking night that was. Me and H were like....what the fuck did we just watch?
Haha….I watched Banshees of Inisherin and felt that way, and then I started The Menu and once I figured out what was happening I turned it off.
I knew I saw this movie discussed! We just watched it, what made you turn it off, exactly? We laughed through most of it, lol. I mean, it comes out what his plan is, were you just not into it at that point? I wanted to see the ending for sure.
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus

Uh, I guess I can’t say without spoiling it. I just found it….odd.
