No, not worth it. They're not long enough to teach anything worth putting on your resume, and like the "skills" they used to push people to recommend you for on LinkedIn, they're not taken seriously.

We are day two of a snow day. I’m ready to send my kids to the moon. DD is being mean for the sake of being mean. DS has forgotten how to listen. I’m one more complaint away from yelling at everyone at work. Now I understand why my mom hated snow days. I wish it were more than ice. I would send the kids outside
The tipping thing is getting crazy. I have a make up artist that charges a mandatory 15% tip. Okay so then just increase your price by 15% and don't force a "tip". She's the owner so it's not about paying the make up artist.
I got food from a taco place. I put in an online order and was going to pick it up bc their delivery option seemed dicey. They wanted me to tip on an order from a fast food place for me to pick up myself. I am always a generous tipper but my god. Come on. I don’t tip at Taco Bell, I’m not tipping at a grown up Taco Bell. (They also fucked up my order big time, I’m wondering if that’s why)
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
DH's cousin bought a popcorn business this past year. I just put in an order for some flavored popcorn to give the kids for Valentines Day. The store is several states away, so have to order online. As I get to the payment screen I see a $9 tip is automatically added. I'm a good tipper too, but this is just out of control tipping for an online order. I did not go in and remove it since it is family, but would have if we weren't related. Shakes my fist at all this excessive tipping nonsense.
We went out for dinner on Saturday to a hibachi place. I noticed on the bottom of the menu in really tiny font that "18% gratuity is added to hibachi table dining" I'm totally fine with that. We are good tippers and always tip more when at those types of restaurants since the tip is being split between the waitress and hibachi chef. Then we get the bill and they had a line item for the 18% and coded it as "service fee" then there was a line for the tip and the total listed said "pre tip total"... um, no, that isn't pre tip that is including the gratuity of 18%. I left an additional amount but I'm willing to bet a lot of people just add another 15/18/20% or whatever they'd normally tip on top of it. Seems like a shady business practice.

I don't like that either. I have to remind myself that my server didn't put the practice in place and don't let my annoyance show.
I have 23 more "things" to figure out for H's 50th birthday 50 Things to Open Extravaganza.
Does he like lego? You could buy a set and wrap each individual bag step for it. Depending on the set that could be 8 bags up to 30 or so.
This is a good idea. He's never built anything Lego before, but I don't know that he'd be OPPOSED to it. Do they make, like, college football sets? lol

My friends did a bunch of random small stuff like a bottle opener from my college, tervis tumbler, several different favorite candy/candy bars, mini bottle of gin, pez dispenser, lip balm, crayons/coloring book. More girly stuff like earrings too. Really any little thing he might like. Even stuff like a favorite shaving cream or soap that you know he will use. I liked different stuff not parts of something counted seperately.

Is he a fan of The Office? That has been my favorite Lego set.

I hate this! I started a new job and have a good coffee place on the way to work, but the cashier asked if I wanted to add tip on my take-away coffee, so now I've avoided going back because saying no feels so awkward.
Yeah, the tipping thing is getting weird. Usually, I have a pretty good grasp on when I feel I should tip and when I feel okay with not (looking at you Lifetime Fitness for your tip prompt for a $7 bottle of Smart water that I took out of your fridge and brought to the counter ). One of the things I'm unsure about is food halls. They all have the tipping on the app and we always tip them, but I feel a little like...why am I though? I do tip takeout when we pick-up, so I guess it's the same thing? When in doubt, I do tip and I usually cave when it gets awkward, unless it's a totally ridiculous ask (Lifetime Fitness). Or when I take David for ice cream, there's a tip prompt now.

I do not tip at food trucks. And I’m usually not a jerk but no. If I have to stand in line and then stand up to eat my damn food, wtf am I tipping for?! I’m already pissed that food trucks, which used to be a great way to get a cheap meal is now so fucking boujee that I spend more on a just entrees for 4 people than I DO AT DISNEY WORLD. I hate what they’ve done to food trucks and I’m supposed to tip on top? Pass.

OMG, this makes me see red! When I ‘don’t have my shit together’ I stop for coffee, at this place. I don’t love them, and every.fucking.time they ask if I want to leave a tip! There was once when they handed me the iPad thing out of the window to do it all myself, but that was once. I always cave and say, yes a $1, and then get mad at myself. It’s just the principle, like don’t ask and I’ll tip, or at least give me the choice.
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
We decided to drive to Sedona for our vacation. This will be the fourth time we've gone , it's my happy place! In addition, we usually go camping with a group but we're not going this year . We take my husbands mother, and she's been a miserable human being for the last two years. Last year with her was the worst vacation of our lives, and we refuse to go through that again. She's not talking to us because she can't go. We just have too much deferred maintenance on our house, and projects we need to finish.
Favorite hikes and/or restaurants? I'm going next week.

There are Lego sets for so many interests... Go poke around lego.com and I'd be surprised if nothing made you think your H would like it.

isabel, our favorite hike is the Mesa trail, it has good views. They have a state park, Sliderock. In the warm weather, people use the flat rocks and go from rock to rock partly down the river. There's a very pretty trail that runs parallel to the river. They have tons of dining, I've never had a bad meal. They have lots of galleries. Keep your eyes open for vortexes, they can be marked. Sedona is wonderful, you'll have a great time! Let us know what you think of it!
