I’d be curious to know (and haven’t searched for, so there may be info about it I haven't come across) what measures were planned to be in place for this scenario. I mean the guy’s other indictment is basically for trying to violently overthrow the government and Trump’s/his people’s violent attacks on those looking for accountability are WELL documented. I cannot imagine this comes as a surprise to any of the people involved in the investigation?

I’m not a lawyer so I have no idea but surely?
I haven’t looked but I have to believe that they were somewhat aware of possibilities as at Monday’s press conference the DA went so far as to thank law enforcement for their protection in months leading up to the indictment.
How many times has Georgia Metro Atlanta come through for us the last few years? It's amazing.
FTFY. Please believe the good ol' boys in the rest of the state did everything they could to keep Trump in power, they are still trying to cover for him and people will still line up to vote for him. They're also trampling on reproductive rights and trans people's rights but that's another thread.
It turns out that by sheer dumb "luck" Trump committed these crimes in a state where they're readily encompassed by the law (for example lying to a state official is a crime in and of itself) and in a county where the DA is experienced in these kinds of complex cases. I hope this is the stars aligning to finally bring him to justice.

Is anyone else disappointed Trump cancelled his Monday AM press conference to explain all of this? I was looking forward to reading the nonsense he was going to spout off. It's amazing his lawyers actually talked him out of it.
I can't even imagine being in that grand jury or the regular ones to come. Are they going to be sequestered or somehow remain anonymous?
Isn't that considered jury intimidation or tampering?
he's doing his best to dox them. I'd want to sit in the jury to convict him, but I'd be worried about personal safety. Who can they get that will be neutral and not lie about it? I definitely see a hung jury
He is also forbidden from making any “direct or indirect threat of any nature against the community or to any property in the community,” including in “posts on social media or reposts of posts” by others on social media.
“The defendant shall perform no act to intimidate any person known to him … to be a co-defendant or witness in this case or to otherwise obstruct the administration of justice,” the agreement says.

I'm scratching my head at DT's bond being a measley $200k. My xh when he was arrested for violating a RO for the 4th time, was given a $155k bond. He sat in jail but DT can easily come up $20k from his followers !?! I'm surprised that he was even able to get bond. I would have put him in jail w no wifi access

Yes that seems absurdly low.
I don't mind him having access to the internet as long as all social media is blocked. All he could do is watch and read (lol that I even count reading as a possibility) news about him but be completely unable to respond. How delightful his tantrums would be to behold

He's truly unhinged. Now he's trolling the judge, mocking have a pittance nail, threatening to go to Russia with lots of sarcasm and self aggrandizing.

He's bonkers...I hope they go back and ask that it be raised since he's teasing the idea of leaving the country.
Trump wrote. “I assume, therefore, that she thought I was a ‘flight’ risk - I’d fly far away, maybe to Russia, Russia, Russia, share a gold domed suite with Vladimir, never to be seen or heard from again.” He added: “Would I be able to take my very ‘understated’ airplane with the gold TRUMP affixed for all to see. Probably not, I’d be much better off flying commercial - I’m sure nobody would recognize me!”

$200,000 seems like such an absurdly low amount for him that I'm sure the DA had a very specific reason. I feel like she's going to come out and say something like, "we set bail low because we didn't want you to swindle more Americans in order to pay a higher bail, but given your clear intention to flee the country, it's now this new, absurdly *high* amount."
Michael Cohen did an interview that I just saw this morning, criticizing the low bond. He said his bond was $500k for protecting Trump in a lie about a payoff, and Trump's is $200k for illegal interference in a national election.

I heard on NPR that it's expected that Trump will ask to have the case moved to the federal level like Meadows did. I was unclear if doing so would make a conviction pardonable at the presidential level. They did say the jury pool would change to encompass 10 counties and not just Fulton.

How likely is it that Meadows' would get his request granted?
There will probably be a evidentiary hearing, but I have heard it's unlikely the motion will be granted, as he has to prove that the conduct was within the scope of his official federal job duties.
MH recently rewatched a documentary where Giuliani is interviewed pretty extensively about how he used RICO to take down the mafia in NY. I kept cackling every time he was on screen.

So if we know he's turning in on Thursday, is there a time? Perp walk? Any video? How soon before pics of his tiny fingers?
Another American and I want to get together to watch perp walk (we know this won't happen) and relish in the mug shot. We don't even care it will happen after all our bars closed (10a eastern)

The closest to a timeframe I've read is Thursday evening.
Watching Giuliani rant outside the courthouse was like watching a cringe worthy stand up act. "The FBI stole my i-cloud!" Oh, Rudy. I was hoping he'd have more dripping hair dye.
