I do not know how people who live in hot climates can do it. Today (in MN) it was a high of 102 with a feels like temp of 115.
My body was not made for this.
It was -17 in January. I don't think I'm meant to live somewhere with a 119 degree range or factoring in wind chill and feels like a range of 165 degrees.

See the negative Temps don't bother me in the least. The older I get, the worse the heat gets.
and for the TMI crew ( icedcoffeebeerlover and TR ) I feel your pain, literally. Back when I was like 20 years old, I woke up one AM with a huge enlarged thing on my lady bits. I want to say it was about the size of a golfballl. I had no clue what was happening but it hurt like hell. I went to urgent care and while it has been 30 years now, I still remember this experience like it was yesterday.
It was a male dr and I was so embarrassed at the time. (Now all I see are male drs but back then I was a nervous female) He took one look and was like "Ok, lets lance it". I was speechless. Very quickly he had tools in hand and cut it open. OMG THE PAIN WAS AWFUL!!! He used cotton swabs to remove the puss and asked if I wanted to see it. No thank you sir.
Omg! They do hurt so bad. Like a cystic pimple on steroids that lands on one of the most sensitive parts of your body. I also had no idea before today that primary care doctors lance shit. Haha. I’m really glad today is over and I hope this is my first and last!

Same here. I do very well in cold, but the older I get the worse my heat tolerance gets. At this point I find anything over 75 difficult to be in, over 80 is intolerable and I basically don’t leave my house from June-September as a result.

😭 I found DD the most beautiful ring in my price point. She came home today with an almost identical one from her friends. They pitched in and went to the same local jeweler. They got white gold. Mine is rose gold. Her birthday is tomorrow. H and I went to Walmart and Target tonight. Nothing seemed right to gift her. We are going to give her the ring and let her know it’s okay to return it for something different
We have somehow been freakishly blessed with 70s-80s weather in August but my husband keeps taking that as an invitation to turn off the A/C during the day and I might have to kill him if he doesn't stop.
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus

BlondeSpiders, are you on HRT? Honestly, that helped me more than anything else - though I do still have periods at 54 and sometimes they are painful. No longer crying all the time (just a bit) or having insane periods that flood the system.
nsl, my kid started 7th grade on Monday and how tired he is is next level. I would not be surprised to find him asleep on the couch one of these days in the near future (he gets home about 15 minutes before I do). He's been asking(!) to go to bed around 8:30 the past 2 days! Poor kiddos.

She might want both! I think of white and rose gold as having very different looks and have a few rings that look nearly identical to each other but in different metals and love them all.

That’s very sweet of her friends!
She loved the ring! The one I got was significantly different side by side. The stone was only slightly larger and the band was thinner. She said she loved it and didn’t want to take it back. She wore it today. Oddly, her favorite gift was more of a reminiscent than a gift. H got her a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. She read it last night. I still can’t believe she is 16

I'm not on HRT, or anything yet. I might go that route when the full Meno hits.

I'd really consider it before. It's been a godsend to me during peri. I think I would have been in very rough shape w/o it.
